I know that is not a huge saving, but with the 11% back, it makes for a nice little treat. I have a thing for mulch, soil, compost and rocks. When I am having a tough day, I wander through my local Menards and find things to add to my garden. This particular location, located near Madison, WI is almost entirely indoors or at least covered outdoor sections- which is helpful on a hot, rainy day like yesterday. It had sales in so many end-caps, too, like random things marked down considerably although I couldn't always tell what the item was. This location is very clean and well organized. Super well stocked in all the departments that I visited. I will come back next time I am up in Madison.

If they do not have it in their warehouse, they can usually get it pretty darn quick - just like most everyone else. Their pricing is better by far than Grand Appliance and many others. The sales staff is very extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and know how to look up detaiis on the computer and get you the right information the first time without trying to blow smoke! Brothers Main bends over backwards, offers a great buyback warranty program and do everything they can to get you the appliance you need as soon as you need it and at a better price than anyone else. Just over two years ago, we bought a premium GE Cafe refrigerator from Brothers Main Appliance and purchased a 5-year extended service contract through Centricity. This summer the refrigerator completely broke down. It has now been sitting dead in our kitchen for nearly four months during the hottest part of the year. The entire repair and warranty ecosystem is an absolute scam. So far, we have endured six separate service calls from their designated service agent, Main Appliance. They have completely failed to fix the issue. Despite the product being unusable for a third of a year, Centricity refuses to honor a cash buyout and refuses to replace the lemon appliance. Brothers Main sold a faulty premium product, Centricity is taking money for a 5- year contract they refuse to properly honor, and Main Appliance is incapable of fixing the machine. We are thousands of dollars out of pocket, living out of coolers for months, and being met with total corporate stonewalling. Do not trust any of these three companies!

Some items were actually broken, but appropriately priced (i.e. hardware broken off of dressers). While I learned quickly that I would never purchase a sectional at American Freight, there were a couple of redeeming qualities. I'd recommend consideration of coffee tables and other hard surface items. This should be a stop for people on a tight budget for sure. Staff were not pushy in the least, yet attentive enough should I have had a question. They were also playing in the parking lot, so be careful when pulling in.

We went to this place first a few years ago when it was time to replace our disco era appliances but found a much better deal elsewhere. I wish I had the dough to only buy from local businesses, even when they are considerably more expensive, but I'm not there yet. Then, a few weeks ago we noticed that our fridge water wasn't good. Not poisonous, but not delicious. Apparently the filter was to blame. I tried looking around online but was amazed at the variety (also the shipping charges). I figured I'd see if Handy Appliance could order it for us or something. I knew it would be expensive from my online research but was at least hopeful that I would be able to return it easily if there was a problem. When did I become so cynical? I walked in the door at Handy Appliance, was greeted immediately (there were four people at the desk behind the front counter), and ended up walking out five minutes later with two filters (they come in a 2-pack) for a verrrrrry reasonable price. I was brought up front to finish the Check out and handed over to someone else to complete the process. All-in-all it was about a 2 hr job from When I walked in to order to When I Walked back Out. Originally we were told that the install dates were about 2 weeks out and someone would be calling me for an install date. Two weeks later I called to check on an install date and was told my order had been cancelled. WHAT?!! Turns out that the different carpet ordered for a porch was canceled in error. They did offer 50% discount on the porch carpet which was a small room and Consisted of a price about $50 less. install date was 4 weeks from the order date. I received a phone call one day for The house carpet and received a call the next day for a different install date for the porch carpet. I asked them to please install all the Carpet on The same day. Installation day arrives and I received a call telling me they were loading up now and would arrive in 15-20 minutes which turned into about an hour later. Maybe they stopped off for breakfast?
