The owner greeted us instantly and was exceptionally friendly. There was a cozy seating area that quickly filled up with local women who were there to chat and knit together. The owner makes a commitment to using local sources for her wares, and we were interested to learn that the shop sells tea that comes from our hometown! I picked up three colors of merino to make some dreads to match my new hair (compliments of Aveda, Vici on the Library Mall--fabulous!). I don't know how long I was at this place, but I definitely fell down the rabbit hole. I even snagged some beautiful one-of-a-kind stone, bone, and silver beads, PLUS some lovely hand-dyed merino that was VERY reasonably priced in gorgeous tones of orange and yellow.. The shop is in a newly refurbished house. Contains beautiful items made from alpaca yarn (including scarves, hats, gloves, socks, sweaters). Also, has skeins of alpaca yarn. Prices are reasonable for beautiful items. Owner Julie is very nice and helpful. She picked out a lovely brown sweater that I passed over and it looked great on me when I tried it on. The alpacas are just feet from the shop. In the barn and behind lovely white fences. They are so cute. We took lots of pictures. Great experience for the family. (Only open Fridays and Saturdays)
