He invited us to paint a fig for free and even gave us a lesson on how to paint. My husband and I play table top games but we do not play Warhammer. This one was an exception. I know we will be back!

I was visiting from out of town and stopped in for Magic: the Gathering games of EDH/Commander. The staff was exceptionally kind and informative, and the clientele all were great to play with! If I lived here, I would definitely be here weekly and I definitely encourage anyone curious to check it out! They also have sodas available for purchase, and my only gripe was that they didn't have a better variety of drinks, especially healthier ones, or small bites. I'll hopefully be able to return soon!

A couple of days later, the seller canceled my order and refunded my money without any notice or explanation. Their excuse was that they could not fulfill an out-of-state order because they could not charge sales tax. I paid shipping and sales tax on the order, and there was no notice of any restrictions on their website. Curiously, the book was no longer in stock after they canceled my order, and they ignored my communications to find a resolution. This strikes me as dishonest and a poor way to treat customers.

My husband definitely belongs to that group, so we stopped by on our trip up north. The biggest recommendation I can give, as an out-of-towner: Order ahead of time for pick-up so you can give them a heads up on your order. It's a warehouse -- it's one of the top businesses to order games from online -- so they have a lot for purchase that you don't see in the retail area. If you order when you arrive, you may be hanging around for a bit (45 minutes or so in our case) for it to be ready, though hanging out in the game room wasn't a bad time either. Their retail shelves contain several games to peruse as well as other fun bits. My kids liked the four-foot-tall, intricate dice tower that made fun sounds as the dice traveled down. They also had some nerdy stuffies that were neat to see too. And on one side of the showroom are several tables too where you could play a game. My husband came away impressed and with several games. This checked off a board game bucket list item for him!

They carry more than just the usual GW stuff, including a robust selection of paints, hobby tools, basing supplies, and the like. Special orders are easy to place and Pegasus does a good job communicating product availability for items that are hard to get. There's a substantial play area with a large quantity of tabletop terrain available for customer use. Pegasus staff actively participate in my gaming group's Facebook page even though none of them play our game (Malifaux). They inform us about upcoming releases and new hobby products, answer questions, and take note of any special events we might be doing. I think there's been a big turnaround at Pegasus within the last couple of years. When I first went to the store in mid-2016, I didn't think I'd be back. I had the same experience recounted by many of my friends here: poor customer service, dingy surroundings, unwelcoming toward women and non-nerds. My experience today is very different. Staff members I've interacted with have been friendly and attentive. I often see women in the gaming area and behind the counter. The shop won't win any interior design awards, but it's clean and well laid out. If you're still avoiding Pegasus because of unpleasant stories or experiences from a few years ago, I encourage you to give the store another shot.
