What a delightful shop on Main Street in Galena. You'll find many spiritual and metaphysical items…read morehere. There are pendulums; books introducing one to paganism, or Wicca specifically as well; puzzles; tarot cards; pins; diaries; greeting cards; and so on. Nearly half of the shop features supplies for fiber crafts, so of course you'll find yarn here but also yarn bowls, cross stitch and embroidery kits, and so on. I bought several beautiful rolls of wrapping paper, which I spent a ridiculous amount of money in but it was really gorgeous and I can't wait to give some gifts now! The folks here also run a ghost tour. I overheard the proprietor speaking with some other customers, and he mentioned they do a 90 minute walking tour. I was so bummed that I had plans tonight (even more bummed that those plans didn't really materialize!!). Next time I visit I would like to take a ghost tour. It was especially interesting listening to these folks talk with the owner because they themselves are ghost hunters, and they were asking about haunted places and said they like to take their own equipment out to explore. The store is not really accessible, unfortunately. There is a big step up from the sidewalk to enter. If you have mobility issues but can manage a large step up (probably at least 6-8 inches) it may work, but wheelchair users will not be able to enter. The owners seem to be cultivating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere, so if you need assistance I'm sure they would be happy to help.

This store is a must-visit! The moment you step in, you're immersed in a world of witchy wonders…read moreand spooky treasures that perfectly capture the ghostly spirit of Galena. It's so much fun to browse through the unique selection--definitely a highlight of my trip!

Both times, I tried to follow up on my order via email and phone several times. No messages were returned. My first order was eventually cancelled without explanation; I assumed it was because Apple appeared to have messed up my information (I've never had that happen before, so I really don't know what happened), and since I could never get a hold of someone to provide proper info, I assumed that's why they canceled the order over two months later. I tried ordering again, this time being very careful with my payment information, but again, it's nearly two months later, and I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone via phone or email. Neither my order confirmation nor the order status page on their site give me any hint as to what method of payment was used, and at this point I can't remember what I used, only that I was careful to be sure it was accurate. I've tried searching my usual cards' transactions, but perhaps they show up with an alternate business name, or something went wrong again, because I can't find the charge. Are they closed? Did something bad happen? I hope they're all right, and if they are, that I hear back about my order inquiries via email or that someone answers the phone.

The two folks working were so patient, kind, and helpful!! As I'm still pretty new to crochet (3yrs), I decided to go with a natural fiber and not super expensive (but still more than acrylic at a big box). I think I got 4 hanks, and they caked them for me. They had buttons to match!

This review is for the Michael's birthday party. DO NOT BOOK YOUR PARTY HERE!!! We booked a craft…read moreparty for eight 5-6 year olds. The party started at 1:00pm and at 1:20 the store associate assigned to help us was still opening up the crafts. None of the supplies were cut or ready for the kids to craft with and kids were sitting with nothing to do for quite some time. She was very unprepared for our event. The associate did not introduce herself or give ANY direction to the kids as to how to make the crafts (super hero cape and shield) and so the parents who stayed were helping all the kids. The most disappointing part was that I paid an EXTRA $25 for face painting. The associate showed up to the party room with the paints at 2:55 (the party was ending at 3). Some of our party guests had to leave without even getting their face painted. I called the next day and spoke with a manager who apologized but did not follow up with me at all nor did she offer to refund the charge for the face painting. Michaels is a great craft store but choose somewhere else for your child's birthday party!

I brought my machine in for annual maintenance. I was told it would take about two weeks,…read morealthough the receipt PROMISED the maintenance by 7/21/25. At three weeks I called for a status check. I was told it would be "just a little bit longer". On 7/21/25 I called and was told my machine had not been worked on yet. I was told it would be "a little bit longer". I asked for a specific date and was told there wasn't one. I asked what the promised date on my receipt meant and was not given an answer. my point on this post is business practice and customer service. DONT say something will be done in two weeks when you know it won'T. DONT a give the "just a little bit longer" line. it just makes people angry. DONT promise, in writing, a date when a service will be completed and there is no intention to have the work done. DO contact the customer before the promised completion date and let them know the service will not be completed on time and throw in a discount or freebie. (I.e. keep your customers). Set your employees up for success by not making them engage in making up excuses for poor service. I finally got my machine back and what do you know? the promise date was changed on the receipt. Customers aren't that stupid! Do better in your business, Inspired to Sew!

I signed up for a class a few weeks ago, and was uninformed that there would be a list of materials…read moreI needed to purchase before the class. The class was $50, and I was sent the list of materials in an email 3 minutes before the start of the class, so I had to purchase $60 worth of materials upon arrival. Which felt intentional, so I would have to buy from their store specifically and miss out on cheaper alternatives. The sewing pattern they were teaching in the class was also not included in the price so I had to purchase that myself as well. I will say that the workers in the store were nice, however their website and employees have lacked transparency of prices and organizational skills. Furthermore, prices were not included on the website for a sewing machine maintenance and check-up. When I called the store, I was told the price would only be $30-40 dollars, and then extra if a part was missing and had to be purchased. When I turned in my sewing machine for this service, I payed $30 and based on the information I received, believed that to be the end of it. Today when I went to pick it up, the workers tried to charge me $100 for it. I tried arguing and brought up how I had already paid... they told me that was "a deposit" and then took it off, although they would have charged me twice if I had not brought that up. My total for this machine repair was over $100, even though I had been told originally it would be $30 on the phone. Furthermore, no part or fix had to be made on my machine. It was cleaned and a screw was adjusted and I was still charged $70 more than I had been told. Their website lacks this information so the fact prices and materials have been left up to "word of mouth" has cost me $217 when I was only expecting to pay around $80. My review would just be to be cautious about undisclosed information and extra prices. I feel taken advantage of based on being expected to pay extra when correct information was not given to me. Both on the accounts of taking a class as well as getting my machine looked at. Also I was told when I purchased the pattern for the class I would get sent it but it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received it.
