The cocktail menu is interesting and full of lots of delicious options. My cocktail was made to perfection and our service was on point. We came in late one night so there was plenty of seating, but typically it's reservation only, so be sure and make a Resy if you want to make sure you can get in. Tijuana is full of hidden gems like this and Nortico is a welcome addition. Get off Revolution and check this spot out!

She…read moretaught me about all the different spirits that Mexico manufactures (other than the well known spirits of Tequila and Mezcal) and knew how to showcase the unique spirits of Mexico with cocktails that really leverage these spirits. She recommended a milk punch cocktail that incorporated Sotol, which is kind of like tequila but instead of fermenting agave, it ferments Dasylirion and is made only in Chihuahua. Then she recommended a cocktail that leverages a Mexican produced corn liquor in a Negroni but with gin subbed with mezcal. Both of these cocktails are bartenders choice and not on the menu, but the fact that they can execute such innovative cocktails so we'll speaks to the level of dedication bartenders at this bar have. Renee even gave pointers as to where I might be able to buy some of the bottles they use and for a few other bars of similar caliber to visit nearby. Instead of ending my trip at Nortico as previously planned, she helped me find a really cool new bar in Tijuana! Highly recommend.

To get inside, you have to go through the hotel entrance and then take the elevator to the top floor. There was no issue going up or down, and everything moved rather quickly considering we visited on a Friday night. Up top it was a little crowded near the edges where everyone was taking photos, but people moved around pretty quickly so it was still easy to get some really good pictures from the rooftop. I didn't order any drinks, so this review is based solely on the location and the views, but once you're up there it's just absolutely beautiful. We stayed for about 20 minutes, enjoyed the views, took in the atmosphere, and then headed out. Definitely worth checking out if you're in San Diego.

The store where you can buy items is very nicely organized and staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people. I sat out on the outside patio since the cloying smoke smell inside was a bit much for me (to be expected ofc) The vibes outside were immaculate, I got there about 2 hrs before sunset and it was gorgeous, there was also life band music from downstairs which was good! The waitress was very friendly and attentive! We ordered the cheesy waffle fries and two infused drinks. the lemonade here is HUMONGOUS! The waitress gave me a separate smaller cup so i wouldn't have to infuse and drink the whole thing lol. FOOD: The fries were a bit of a let down, it had WAY too much cheese! I know thats may sound silly here but it was like 3:1 ratio of cheese to fry and the cheese was very thick and salty, could do better if it was a little spicy or had more flavor to it! We ate what we could but left the fries piled in the cheese on the plate to which the waitress noticed a pointed out that there was just too much cheese lol. She brought over a complimentary sundae to make up for it but that was also a let down. It looked cute and pretty in the glass but it was 75% whipped cream, 15% choco fudge and the 10% tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream. Ooof! But! Food can be improved. Overall, this is a great place to chill and indulge in the vibes.

I ordered the Pepino Misionero which is a cucumber drink. I loooooooooveeee my cucumber drinks! This one felt like a mojito in that there were muddled ingredients in it. I loved the drink but I typically don't order mojitos because I find them difficult to drink and I hate getting the leaves in my mouth. I had the same difficulty with the Pepino Misionero. The ambiance is modern with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a gorgeous fire pit right in the middle of the patio which gives off nice heat without making your hair smell like firewood. It's the perfect place to grab a few drinks before heading down for your dinner reservation at Mision 19 but it's not a place I would seek out just to drink at for the night. The prices are very similar to the prices you would pay for cocktails in the states. Not overly expensive, just more expensive than other drink prices in Mexico. It was a bit dead when we arrived since it was fairly early in the night so I'd be curious to feel the vibe of the place when it's more packed.

Second cocktail was the Mango Encanto (Clarified): bacardi (infused with toasted rice), illegal mezcal, giffard banana, mango puree, simple syrup, lime, topped with coconut cold foam They honestly could have done a lot better w the cold foam. The consistency was too airy and now I'm just being critical. But the bit of banana and mango puree was a good amount. Sweet. But not punch you in the face sweet. It was a good dessert cocktail.

Too cute with trying to do the prohibition/speakeasy menu. It did take a while to get drinks when it was packed. Understandable. But I had a few that were good, the boats and hoes, and keffir lime tequila drink were great. So she made me a margarita and it was really good. The tequila goes very well with cocktails. I then realize it was bartender that was in the video with him. She was very nice and the price was very reasonable for a rooftop bar. Couple funny things I met a couple guys from Boston as well who sat right next to me. Lastly, the quesadilla was big and packed with meat. I had 1/4 of it and I was stuffed. Felix & Nia took great care of us. They were attentive and friendly. The ambiance was very nice on a warm summer night, and you can see Petco Park (where the Padres play). I would stop by Borrego, even though I would never stay at the hotel again. The bass was noticeably tempered, whatever thump was possible was left to the imagination (a net positive for conversation). Food was reasonably imaginative and everything was tasty. We had the whipped feta, some cucumbery thing with goat cheese, Diver scallops, the pork agnolotti, and the wagyu. The scallops and pasta won over the wagyu, the relative novelty of the two relative to steak probably influenced. Dessert was a snickers Sundae.
