What bothered me most was the employee's lack of concern or willingness to discuss any options. Her response felt unfriendly and unapologetic. I ultimately ordered a chicken tender basket, and unfortunately, the tenders didn't even taste like chicken. What the cluck? The dining area also had far too many dirty, uncleared tables for my liking. The marina view is beautiful, but beautiful scenery DOES NOT make up for food I didn't enjoy, an unwelcoming interaction, and a restaurant that was unable (or unwilling?) to provide any confidence around a serious food allergy. I do not recommend.

When we approached the host station, Wilbur the host and server he explained it to us. Since we were just having dinner, we were good to be seated in the dining room. We were seated in the middle of the room at a bar top dining table. They did have booths, but they were all taken. It was still a really good spot and as we could see the televisions above the bar. This is a really lively place on Friday night. Some patrons pay $10 for live music and dancing. They also have access to the bar in the dancing area which is a patio outside. We ordered: Cornbread appetizer, 1 Flat iron steak dinner-cooked medium, and 1 Cobb Salad with Chicken added as a protein. I don't care for balsamic vinaigrette, so I requested that my dressing was the Caesar dressing. I also had a Tamarindo margarita which was absolutely delicious. The bartenders were very busy. There were two ladies as bartenders. They were very, very efficient and I watched them operate. The vibe and the customer service at the bar seemed great. The patrons in the dancing area with live music had access to a bar window so that they could make their drink orders at that bar window. I thought this was very convenient. Our food came out in a timely manner and the cornbread was absolutely delicious. It comes with a honey butter that is very tasty. My husband said his flat iron steak was great and he ate the whole meal. He seemed to really enjoy it, which was nice. I was a little full from the cornbread so I only ate maybe a third of my Cobb salad. The Cobb salad was really good and fresh. The added protein was grilled chicken and it was a dry. The Caesar dressing was absolutely yummy. I noted that it also had a garlic flavor to it which contributed to the enhancement of taste. Our server's name was Wilbur and he took care of us for the whole dining experience. He had excellent customer service and was very attentive overall. We really appreciated how Wilbur was so dedicated to detail as our server. He checked on us appropriately, he verified what we needed, and he also just sort of took care of everything when it came to packing up our food to go. Since we are new customers, we will probably come back just because of the excellent customer service from Wilbur. The food was good and very reasonably priced. My Margarita was also fantastic. Again, the vibe was great and a lot of positive energy is going on here. Thanks for a great experience Wilbur! Also the manager or owner of the establishment checked in with us while we were finishing up our dining. This was a very meaningful encounter and we appreciate appreciated it as well. It's always nice to see the owner or manager taking pride in their venue.

This visit, they had a grapefruit ipa (just to give you an idea of the variety that is provided). It's always interesting to see what he comes up with next! I met the owner, Andy, who is such a nice man. He walked me through the process of opening up this establishment from the ground up, and it really makes you see how proud he is of what he built. The whole point of starting a business is to be able to do exactly what you love to do, and that's what Hannegan's is. He must've mentioned extra sauce 3 times and the employee assured him there would be "extra sauce". Well, you can see the pictures. Not only no extra sauce... Basically no sauce. If you're going to take over an hour to give a customer their food, at least get the order right. The refund is why this review has two stars instead of one. I understand, things happen... But it shouldn't take an hour to make three sandwiches and if it does, please get the order right. (Also, when I bit into one of the meatballs, it was completely raw inside. So I didn't eat most of the sandwich.)

NEVER AGAIN!!! BEWARE OF THE PARKING ISSUE!!! OWNER WONT TELL YOU : ( I went to Machete last Friday with a group of friends from work. The parking space availability for Machete is small, maybe 6 spaces and one for handicapped. However, the business next door is closed and has several parking spaces available. This parking lot shares spaces with the liquor store. After having been at Machete 2 hours the liquor store owner comes over to Machete, sticks his head in the door, and asks if anyone owns a white car. My coworker states she does. He asks if she parked next door in the abandoned lot. She did. To which he then says, YOU JUST HAD YOUR CAR TOWED! What? He then proceeds to tell my group that he has warned the owner several times about customers being towed that are in HIS BEER HOUSE! Come to find out my coworker is NOT THE FIRST PERSON!!! This has been happening for several weeks now. The liquor store owner, playing the good guy warning us, is in fact , the guy who called the tow company. The liquor store owner showed us a small white sign out front that states "no public parking" it is below a bigger sign that has been defaced but says the same thing. However, when you pull in you will NOT SEE THE SIGN, I guarantee it! When the Machete owner was confronted about why he did not warn us...he pointed to a small white sign outside his business and another one inside the restaurant warning of the parking situation!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! WE HAVE BEEN SITTING IN YOUR NEW BUSINESS FOR TWO HOURS AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO WALK THE 15 FEET TO OUR TABLE AND WARN US??? WHAT A JACKASS. There were about 7 people at the bar and we were a party of 9. Were you that busy? WOW, I am guessing you won't be open long. There were more people at our table then in your bar and you didn't think that maybe you would get repeat business by practicing good people skills...duh! The people at the bar didn't even know about the parking issue and they were 5 feet from your face! Were they to far away to warn also? Eddie and Joanne are the nicest people you want to ever meet. Quality craft beers. Eddie and staff clean out every beer line by hand after every keg goes empty.
