Decided to try their happy hour deals here. We tried the michelada ($5), pretzel bites ($5), & sausage party ($20). They had pretty good deals to offer. Michelada was decent tasting. We didn't realize the sausage party already included pretzel bites so we had double the amount of pretzels, our server failed to mention this to us. The food was unfortunately extra greasy, we felt so sick with all the grease that we couldn't finish it. The "pretzel" bites tasted like slices bread soaked in oil. The sausages were also all covered in oil. I would not have paid regular price for this food. Aside from that, staff was super nice. A Farewell to the Best Tater Tots in Town There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about dipping your tater tots into that incredible ranch dressing. Seriously--it's the best, especially paired with a cold beer. By far, you've always had some of the best bar food around, and my family enjoys eating here almost every week. That's why we were so disappointed today when I ordered my usual hamburger and tater tots, only to be served what looked like burnt, L-shaped fried potato pieces pretending to be tater tots. It honestly bummed me out. I asked the waitress if these were going to be the new tater tots going forward, and she told me yes. I let her know how disappointed I was. First the tots--what's next? Please don't tell me the pretzels are on the chopping block too. I can't imagine how much money is actually being saved on the bottom line by switching away from the original tater tots, because from a customer's perspective, it feels like a downgrade. Amazing and fun Happy Hour. The Vogue offers HH Monday-Friday from 3-5pm. Menu consists for $5 drinks and $5 food items. On this particular visit I had the Smash Burger sliders and a draft beer. Although the sliders were not huge they hit the spot perfectly. The staff here is always very friendly and welcoming. They do hosts different events and the vibe is always fun and relaxing. While the food is OK, the restaurant has good service and a friendly atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful, and this place is pretty busy with people hanging out after work. I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel - simple and tasty. Not pictured is the gravy that they gave in a separate container so that the chicken wouldn't get soggy. The Hen House appetizer (chicken sliders) were pretty good. Some of the chicken was tough, but the bread is sweet and the pickles they use are excellent. Tater tots are very good, no complaints. Super crunchy. The cinnamon roll is OK. Something about it doesn't feel like a classic cinnamon roll, as if they are using some other type of dough. Little tougher but flavor is still good. The vibe here, and Third Street, in general reminds of downtown Upland and old parts of Whittier but with its own very unique charm. I saw bangers and mash and was curious to try. It was really good. My server said the menu items aren't true British recipes, and they have their own spin. Met a couple and hung outside with friends who ended up joining me. We all had a great time and convo. I hate to be this type of person but I just left this restaurant and there's a reason why I'm writing immediately. There were 4 workers but only 2 were running food and taking orders. I sat on the side by the bathrooms and both me and the other person in our 2 top both asked if we order at the bar or we wait for a server and both times we got told by the same lady (super curly brown hair) that a server will come. After 20-25min of being there (having time stamps when we got there) a worker came up to us to take our order (a guy with a super long beard and long brown hair), we asked for menus and just one minute to look as he never returned back. I then walked up to the bar and asked again if we still should wait but I ended up just ordering there. I followed up and asked if there was anyone that can come to my table so we can order drinks and she responded and said along the lines that she's the only one on and I need to 'bare with her' (although the other guy first came up to us so I'm not quite sure how's she the only one on) I responded and said it's ok we won't order drinks, paid and walked back to my table. Our food took normal time, the food runner (the guy) first gave our onion rings, we asked for waters and napkins, never gave us them. Proceeded to give us our flatbread with still no waters. What wows me the most is there there were 2 other tables on the side and as I was sitting facing in the restaurant, these two workers checked in multiple times at these two other tables. I'm so salty about this. It's my birthday and I wanted fried pickles. I put in a DoorDash order and they had a half off deal so they were $5. It's a good thing because there were a handful of pickles -- I would've been so irritated if I'd paid $10 for this amount. I wonder if they halved the amount too? Not only that, I knew I wanted ranch with the fried pickles. I was putting in a grocery order too, and I considered getting ranch just in case the restaurant didn't send any. However, I looked at the picture on the DoorDash menu (see attached menu picture vs reality) and it clearly showed sauce, so I didn't order any with my grocery order. Sadly, the fried pickles arrived with no sauce whatsoever. The tots and pickles were both super soggy, which I do try to be understanding about since I like to DoorDash orders, but I like it when restaurants cut a vent in the box to try to prevent this. I air fried them to try and salvage the order. The schnitzel was very good, but again, such a tiny portion for $23!! I started with the small pretzel, a small spinach salad, and then my husband and I tag-teamed the sausage platter like we were competing on a cooking show. Everything was so good I had to close my eyes and whisper "wow" at least three times. The pretzel? Fluffy, buttery, golden perfection. I've had many pretzels in my life, and this one might just be my soulmate. The spinach salad? Who knew pistachios, blue cheese, tomatoes, cranberries, cucumbers, and a sweet dressing could make me feel feelings? I ordered a small and immediately wished I had a bucket-sized version. Then came the sausage platter--cue the dramatic music. It came with more cut-up, butter-fried pretzel pieces (yes, you read that right), a variety of smoked sausages including an incredible chicken one, and even chicken tenders that tasted like they were sprinkled with fairy dust. I don't know what spices they used, but I need them in my life. Maybe even on my popcorn. We are young, there's a fire in our soul. Just two guys with a crazy idea. This is definitely a millennial spot. I like the German themed food options. Came on a Wednesday and place wasn't too busy. I got the German hot dog. It was pretty good and loaded. The hot dog bun was actually a pretzel. I wanted to try the pretzel too but I've got to watch my calorie intake. Reason why I didn't give it a 5 star was due to the ambiance. It had good food, really good music (70s-80s), but the place is too dark. Needs a little more pizazz. I'm not saying they're racist but they definitely made me feel like my business wasn't wanted. My husband and I went in today Sunday 7/26. The only customers inside were a group at the bar and some people at one table. We noticed the sign said to seat yourself so we did. We sat at the table for about 5 minutes and no one ever came to service us. The bartender walked right by us to take drinks to a couple at the outside table. That's when we figured he'd take our order but he just looked at us and went back to the bar. Shortly after a couple came in and sat down at a table. My husband said he thought he seen the bartender motion to the waitress/other bartender with big curly hair. And she immediately went over to service the couple. At that point my husband and I looked at one another and he said "let's go"! When we got up to leave a family of four walked in and the same waitress who'd went back to the bar after taking the other couples order went to help them with no hesitation.
