I've been to YH many times, but it's been years. My parents don't usually go out to eat, but they received a gift card for Yard House, so we decided to check it out. Went here for my sister's birthday and it also happened to be happy hour. My parents were so excited for the half-off apps lol. We ordered almost one of everything, some things twice, and a couple cocktails. More specifically crowd favorites included calamari, truffle mushroom pizza, poke nachos, and ahi sashimi, but everything was good! My sister also received a complimentary birthday dessert. Our server was great! Appreciated her patience with my parents lol. They loved YH so much we came back for HH again the next time I came to visit. Service seems to be consistently great, even during the busy rush of HH.

AMAZING first time experience!!! Came out to try some foodie HH with the hubby. I think we found our new favorite restaurant.... Staff greeted us right away & we were quickly sat. Dre our server was exceptional. He offered to answer any questions we had & gave us some great suggestions. He was so very attentive. It was truly a great experience. What we ordered: * The Carnivore Pizza *Boneless Wings - 1/2 Korean Garlic & 1/2 Lemon Pepper * Korean Cheesesteak Sandwich * BONUS treat - Oreo Brookie Everything we had was amazing. Such great flavor. I was very impressed with how quick our food came out. We can't wait to visit them again. They have so many great options to choose from. Great vibes & music. We even took the time before leaving, to flag down the manager, to tell her how great our server Dre was.... Thank you Yard House!!

First time trying this place. Very delicious Food and love the layout.

This was the first time coming to Yard house. I have heard great things and after our movie we decided to give them a try. I was blown away from the greeting when we came in. We sat down our server Dre was very welcoming explained everything. We ordered the Carnivore pizza and boneless chicken wings with two flavors Korean garlic and Lemon pepper phenomenal. We split a Korean cheese steak with a side salad instead of fries no upcharge. Dre was a mind reader as he appeared and knew what we wanted without even asking. Everything was brought out quickly. I especially loved there Oreo brookie. If you are ever at the Otay ranch Yard House Dre is the server that exceeded our first time experience. So much so my wife and I wanted to let the manager know how well everything went.

2nd time here and it was just as great as I remembered! Chris provided excellent service, the food was tasty, and the Cali Creamin' brew is still my favorite. I didn't take any photos of my food but I had the fish and chips and they were good portions and I upgraded to truffle fried. Pretty delish! Looking forward to my next visit!

They weree very busy just at opening. They, like the Cheescake Factory got hit with graduation celebrations. Unlikw the CF the Yard House made us feel welcome. CF was a disaster of customer service as there was none. We did have to wait a few minutes for another server to come on and she was a blast. Great atmos. Super food and customer service that would be hard to beat. This is the place to be.

I tried The new Yard House in East Lake. We were seated pretty quickly but it took a long time for our waitress to come to our table. Not sure if they want everyone to order from the little machine on the table. I personally like when they come by and bring water and take your order. To me it's much more personable. They weren't super busy so not sure what the protocol is. We stopped for a quick snack & a drink. The Poke Nachos & Lavender Lemon Drop. Both were delicious. Parking is great here and on this day we didn't have to wait to be seated. Otherwise it's super busy. They also have a good Happy Hour.

Came here for Father's Day after walking around finding someplace to eat without having reservations. There was a big group in front of us once we entered but we were seated right away. Place was open and similar to the other Yard House locations. Service was good, friendly and fast considering it was a big day. We ordered the pretzel, queso dip, burger and one of their pasta dishes. Everything was just as expected and fed our appetites. The pink margarita was delicious and goes down like juice lol. Didn't get a chance to take pics of all our plates since we were all hungry. Solid place to grab a bite.

Boneless buffalo wings. Half off during HH. Spicy Korean on the left, buffalo on the right.

I have dined at the Yard House Otay Ranch location a few times since it opened. The service has been attentive and the food consistently delicious. This time, we stopped in on a Tuesday for Happy Hour. Happy Hour includes 1/2 off most of their apps, $2 off beer and cocktails and $3 off 9 oz wine. We ordered the three cheese pizza, the boneless buffalo wings, poke nachos and a Cobb salad. The pizza has a thinner crust and was cooked to perfection, especially if you like it a little crispy. It was a little light on sauce.. Next time I will ask for extra. I have had the poke nachos several times. It's a generous portion with lots of fish on each wonton chip. The Cobb salad was also a generous portion with ample toppings. The wings were also good.. you get to choose two sauces. We chose buffalo and spicy Korean. Both tasty. The only con for me is it is a bit loud. The music makes for a fun, lively atmosphere. But it could be turned down a few notches so you can hear your dining mates easier. Tip: join the wait list online before you head over, especially during peak times.

Came here over the weekend to meet up with friends, and the service was awful from the start. Our server, Jaire L., was unfriendly, had a snarky attitude, and was completely unprofessional. It felt like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. The food was just as disappointing as the service. The grilled chicken sandwich with avocado was mediocre at best and nothing memorable. Overall, both the food and the service were a complete letdown. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

Came here shortly after opening on a weekday, it was not busy at all throughout our time there. we were welcomed and seated right away. a decent size menu. We ordered the tower of onion rings, brussels sprouts, chicken nachos, and a cheddar bacon burger. the onion rings had a tasty beer batter coating, it was good but seemed to loose alot of the crunch rather quickly. the brussels sprouts were delicious! also with a lovely flavor and perfectly caramelized. chicken nachos were a generous portion with lots of toppings. and the burger was juicy, flavorful, and w a nice char. would love to come back during happy our to try more of their appetizers. it's a large restaurant, great for groups. comfortable atmosphere. lots of drinks on the menu to choose from. our staff was attentive and friendly.

Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. We started with the Firecracker Shrimp as an appetizer, followed by the 20 oz. bone-in ribeye for our main course. We specifically ordered the steak medium well, but it arrived fully cooked, making it dry and lacking any real flavor. The mashed potatoes were bland and tasted like they were missing seasoning, and even the lemonade was disappointing. Overall, the food did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price. Based on this experience, I won't be returning. I hope the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and improves its food quality and consistency.

Mushroom pizza with roasted mushrooms in the background, paired with a whiskey + cheddar cheese burger, and crispy fries.

Yard House continues to deliver where it counts -- massive draft selection, energetic atmosphere, and consistently well-executed elevated bar fare. We kicked things off with a beer flight (Honey Blonde, Belgian White, Golden Pilsner). Pours were fresh with proper head retention and served at ideal temperature -- a strong start. Paired it with the Poke Nachos (Poke Chips), which were layered thoughtfully rather than piled high. Crisp wonton chips held up under diced ahi, creamy sauce, scallions, cilantro, and a drizzle that added just enough richness without overwhelming the fish. Clean flavor, good texture contrast, and balanced acidity. The Mushroom Pizza delivered solid umami depth from roasted mushrooms over a nicely charred crust. Even cheese melt, structured base, and green onion brightness to cut through the richness. Crust had chew with crisp edges -- properly baked. The Whiskey Burger + Cheddar was the standout. Well-seared patty cooked to temp, sharp cheddar melted evenly, and a whiskey glaze that added controlled sweetness without masking the beef. The toasted brioche bun held together, glossy and lightly crisped. Fries were golden, crisp exterior with fluffy interior. Pickles on the side provided needed acidity. Service was attentive without hovering, and food timing was dialed in. High-volume operation with disciplined execution. Not flashy -- just consistent. Reliable 4.0.

A server who happened to be walking by finally took our drink order and brought us menus. She recommended the carne asada fries, so we ordered those along with chips, salsa, guacamole, a Coke, and a Long Island Iced Tea. Even though it wasn't busy, it took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The guacamole was the star of the meal--fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. It was absolutely delicious! The carne asada fries, however, were a huge disappointment. For $24.99, there was barely any carne asada on them. They were mostly French fries with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro, and sour cream, with very little meat. They also lacked flavor and definitely weren't worth the price. The fresh guacamole saved the meal, but the slow service, being ignored at the bar, and the overpriced carne asada fries made for a disappointing experience

So I don't go as often as I used to as the location on Birch is quite a drive. But Friday the 20th my wife and I decided to make the drive because we had a rare day off together and I was craving. We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly. GG was our server and I asked her about the shrimp burrito in ranchero sauce because I didn't see it on the menu to which I was given the very sad news that they no longer served it. I'm a creature of habit, and I've been coming to this chain since my early 20s and I always get that burrito with rice and beans. Was very disappointed to find it's no longer a menu item, it was literally what made me make the drive from lakeside. Once getting that news I had to actually look at the menu and find something else. I ordered tha carne asada plate and my wife had the Green enchiladas. I also ordered the ceviche tostada. I was a little worried the carne asada might be thin and dry but it was actually a nice thickness and super tender. I had a bite of the enchiladas too, also really good. Another new thing I noticed is that now chips and salsa are not complimentary, sad. But unfortunately not something new to the restaurant scene as of late.

Since it was Mother's Day, we tried to be understanding because the restaurant was obviously busy. Our waitress was nice enough, but we did notice other tables around us were getting checked on more often. Again, it seemed like she may have been handling larger parties, so we didn't make a big deal out of it. The food honestly saved the night. My Italian wife said the short rib lasagna was easily one of the top 3 lasagnas she's ever had. That says a lot. My wife got the steak frites and while the steak itself was good, the potato chunks were undercooked. The tiramisu was fantastic too. We didn't mention the potatoes to the server because everything else was going smoothly enough. Overall, despite some service issues, we still enjoyed ourselves and would probably come back again for the food alone.
