I love my BWWs! As usual, service is the same practically any location I've gone to. This day it just so happened to be a College Football night so it was a lot more packed than usual. We got sat down within 10 minutes of arriving but the person assigned to be our waiter forgot about us, lol. No big deal, it's beyond busy so we didn't complain. Eventually someone came to help us order our food and as expected, drinks and food came out slow but still hot! Place was very tidy despite the huge crowds as well as the restroom! I was shocked the staff was able to keep up a tidy appearance given the circumstances. The manager kept doing his rounds and making sure everyone was good - hard to see at most places! I'd definitely come back on a slower day because if the service was good on an extremely busy day, I can just imagine how great it'll be when there's no crowd. read more

This review is strictly for Isabel and her customer service. I've had great service everywhere from high end expensive dress code restaurants to your soup nazi style service (Seinfeld reference) and with Isabel it's a genuine feel good experience. She remembers us from our last visit, you never have to flag her down for refills because she anticipates when you need one and always has one ready for you. She checks in when appropriate and is very genuine and sincere in her delivery. We come here at least 3-4 times a month because my grandbaby loves the kids meals here. The rest of the food is ok. Every now and then we get wings that are cooked perfect but once in a while it is dry and overcooked. One notable experience that was bad was the manager I believe his name was Jose at the time saw us come in but kept cleaning tables and looking for someone to seat us. Mind you there was only 3 other parties in the entire restaurant and he kept hovering over those tables like he didn't want to help us. It was obvious in the way he greeting us because he seemed annoyed. Luckily we had Isabel that day and she unknowingly did a quick service recovery. Another thing to note is the audio is super loud. I can deal with loud, but in a near empty restaurant it is amplified. Other than that service is usually average but with Isabel it's exceptional. Thank you for being awesome! read more

I've jad BWW before but at another location by Chula Vista. Their food is fresh and delicious. Stepping into this BWW location I was met with disappointment. Service was quick however the food was stale and DRY. We ordered fries on the side and they were old and dry. How sad. Not even a good serving of fries. So much for my cravings being unmet. Sadly, I will never recommend this location neither step inside here ever again. read more

Buffalo Wild Wings is a take or leave it franchise. Personally, I love the bdubs restaurant because the food is delicious and usually consistent. You come for the wings & watch sports. However, I understand the rating here is based on being understaffed. I get it, it's usually slow here and not busy so I'm not gonna knock it. With that said, it's not the best and it's not the worst location. It's just convenient and a great choice for some chicken in the Otay mall. This BWW is located in the Otay Ranch town center, which is a wonderful outdoor retail center which is especially nice to walk around during the evening or on cooler days. This location is spacious and has a nice covered outdoor balcony. There are TVs everywhere and a nice audio system. I was there during a Padres game and it was a great place to watch. The food is standard buffalo wild wings and the kitchen does a good job. Unfortunately they are understaffed out front, especially the wait staff. As a result, service can be hit or miss and take a while. read more

Met some folks here to catch some NFL games. We were at a high top table pretty much in the center of the restaurant and had a great view of multiple tvs and games. I grabbed a few beers and some lemon pepper wings. The service was good but as the games ended the staff seemed to be catching their breathe and were hard to flag down for the check. I placed a to-go order for some lemon pepper wings for the Mexico game. I placed the order with the lady in front of the camera because my app was not working. She said they were pretty busy so it might be a while, I said no worries. After about 15min I checked in with another girl to check on my order(no one ever came up to me while I was waiting I had to go to them even when they have seen me wait for quite a bit). I gave her my name and she said that my order will be out soon. After waiting over 30min and missing the Mexico game at this point I asked if they can just cancel my order, so they called the manager. After the manager checked up on my order she admitted that the order was never put in the system and asked where did I placed my order. I told her with the girl in front of the counter, what got me more upset is that the girl acted clueless at first and said I don't remember her when we had a full friendly conversation. After a while she finally admitted she remembered me... Then they had the audacity to asked to take my order again already waisting 30min of my time. I said no thank you. They didn't offer me anything to make up for the time I spent waiting for no reason. This is my first ever yelp review because of how unprofessional they handled this situation. Do better! read more

The food was fresh and the wings were cooked to our liking. The fried pickles were a hit too. My husband and I were the first customers this day, but other people got their food before us. The thing I like about this location is that when there's a big game going on and the other places in the mall are packed, BWW has a shorter wait time than other places. I went in at 10pm with my boyfriend and I was waiting for someone to come and give us a table. The restaurant was DEAD maybe a couple tables. There were two employees who saw us and never approached us, which is fine because they aren't hostesses but would it kill them to go and get someone to help? At first they were doing tasks but then they started talking with each other AFTER SEEING WE WERE THERE FOR A LONG TIME LIKE WHAT LOL , we were waiting for a long time, but when we saw that they started talking, we decided to just leave and go eat at dennys. Picked up 20 pc wings and asked for them to be extra wet. After examining we received what is in pic/video. We pointed out that wings were not extra wet. Extra wet refers to each wing having extra sauce, not extra sauce on the box and SOME of the wings. If extra wet they would be evenly coated. The fact that they weren't means they put some wings that had been sitting for a while in the microwave reheated and poured some fresh sauce over them. Paying too much for this. It blows my mind that even when BWW is empty and it's 10pm the service is still so slow. They said it would take 5-10 min to get a table ready even though there were tables available in the area people were sitting. I went to check out the delay and saw that they had tables that still needed to be cleaned. Do they not buss tables as they clear out. The service was very poor. Then when you're seated they tell you to scan the QR code to order. It's amazing that they still expect an 18% or more tip when they don't even do most of their job as a server anymore. read more

Crispy, soft and fresh bun, just the right amount of sauce, and not overcooked. My friends ordered a cheeseburgers, nachos, chips and guacamole, chicken tenders. Those dishes were good. There were copious amounts of sports on the TVs showcasing golf,baseball, football and soccer. This place is kid friendly and great for groups. This location is popular with all the resources in this shopping center so get here before the lunchtime or dinner. There is an abundance of parking and this place is easy to find. Strayed away from our normal wing spot because this place was closer. We came on Thursday for their BOGO boneless wings. The food took 45 minutes to come out, and the boneless wings were so dry- most literally had no sauce on them. We ordered the pretzel knots and the cheese and honey mustard seemed like they were sitting there forever as they had a dried layer on top. If you order in the app they don't pay attention to your customizations for sides. I asked for 3 ranches and 1 carrot (max limit 4). They gave me one ranch with celery and carrots. I want to be very clear that the problem here is not the workers. During my visit, the staff was clearly working hard under a lot of pressure and doing their best during a very busy rush. Unfortunately, the issue was management. While orders were backing up and customers were waiting, the manager was not helping the team or stepping in to support them. Instead, he appeared disengaged and was laughing while employees were struggling to keep up, which directly contributed to delays. Good management is especially important during peak hours, and in this case it was lacking. The workers deserve better leadership, and customers deserve smoother service. I hope ownership addresses this, because the staff is not the problem. read more
