I would say "under seasoned" but that would imply some flavor. Our recent order, delivered through GrubHhub, tasted like a hospital kitchen version of Chinese food. The "spicy" green beans were over cooked and so bland they seemed like baby food. In fact, I tried them out on a nearby 18 month old and she wouldn't eat them either. Fried rice was barely fried, and also flavorless. Home style tofu was better, but still on the bland side. The basic quality of the food here seems good, but they need to get a chef who has a better understanding of Asian cooking. A note on another critical review of this place, which downgraded it because his meat dish didn't come with rice as they do in his home town New York restaurants: That's the standard in New England Chinese restaurants. The General Gao's Chicken looked like Friendly's chicken nuggets that were covered in duck sauce; the pork spare ribs tasted like they had been re-heated, and the fried appetizers were really greasy. I really enjoyed the Chelmsford location, so I kind of knew the Waltham location should at least be decent. Ordered a few items for delivery. The delivery was a little earlier than promised, so that was great. The food was delicious as expected. The soup, mongolian beef, and the fried rice. Recommend this new Chinese take out restaurant in Waltham next door to Starbucks and across the street from Star Market. Worth the drive from Lexington although they do deliver to parts of Lexington too. The Imperial Couple with shrimp and scallops is excellent. Portions are a good generous size. How have I not heard of this place earlier?! We ordered steamed Beijing ravioli, plain rice, chicken lo mein, and the Feng Shui Sampler. Let me tell you that the crab rangoon was the real stand-out here. We usually order crab rangoon with our "American-Chinese" meals, and this one just hit a little different. The cream cheese filling was out of this world; I seriously thought about getting a full order the next day. I dreamt about it! Chicken wings solid, the fried shrimp was the standard over-breaded (but not *too* over-breaded like many places. Chicken wings great, lo mein was excellent, ravioli extra large (needed at least three bites a piece). Would definitely order again. Didn't end up with a heavy feeling afterwards, either. Right up there with Rice Valley, quality-wise. Even the egg roll, which I normally toss aside, was good for an egg roll. Had enough leftover for both of our lunches the next day. Beware, they upcharge you at least 10% if you order through some online services. Also zero attention to special order requests, so if you have food allergies check the food....multiple times I have had food delivered that had items I had requested be left out (egg for example). I ordered delivery for the vegetarian california rolls, but received what I assume are regular california rolls, since they were covered in fish eggs and looked like they had some sort of seafood inside. Use of the word "vegetarian" should really mean no fish. The rest of the food was fine, and I wouldn't have been upset if the restaurant hadn't refused a refund for the item (just that one $5 item... really?), according to the delivery service. Apparently they insisted that the crab was imitation crab, but the fish eggs came standard anyway? I have been to Feng Shui Kitchen numerous times since it first opened in Waltham, in a corner of a new commercial building. It is very small with only a few tables but the food is awesome. I especially love their sushi and rolls, but I've tried many dishes, and every time it has been cooked perfectly and was so delicious! Prices are very reasonable. Better as a take out restaurant bc there are only a few tables. You wont be disappointed. I work in the area and have been everywhere. I'm picky about where I eat, and this is one of my "go to" places. For what it is, its as good as it gets, in my opinion! read more

They took almost 40 minutes to deliver, and when it arrived the chicken and the mushrooms were raw tasting. When I called to complain, they said, "Oh we can't do anything about it. I havent written a review in years, but ordering sushi from this place three days in a row, I am floored. It is absolutely delicious. Best specialty rolls I've had in a very long time, including all of the high end restaurants in downtown Boston and NYC. I havent tried anything else from here but the sushi, so cant say how good the other dishes are, but I can honestly say I should probably stop ordering from here because I'm going broke but I am officially addicted.
