    Lamb w/Spicy Sauce. Delicious.
    Kevin K.

Everything was fantastic. Had the cucumber in spicy garlic sauce appetizer, a hot and sour soup (emphasis on the hot), and the lamb with spicy sauce. The lamb was falling off the bone it was so tender. Will be back. (After I eat the Chengdu spicy chicken that I got to take home for tomorrow).

Really impressed with the most recent offerings from this local Sichuan establishment. The fish stew with sour cabbage was a hit, a nice blend off Mala flavor, other spices, and broth. The flavor of the pickled veggies was focused and appealing. Something on special was the pork with dried bean curd and fresh bamboo shoots. The dish was well seasoned and the bamboo was particularly tender. The dried lotus slices in a Mala stir fry was excellent. It was nice to have crispy thin slices of lotus steeped in a rich and spicy Mala flavor. The appetizers were intriguing and delicious. The tendon flank and tripe slices were nicely flavored. There is a garlic richness that gently added to the dish. Also the slicing work on the green onions was very good. Finally the cellophane noodle dish with spicy sauce was really neat. I'd never had it before: it tasted a bit like gelatin. It really works well as a cold appetizer. In general I'd tone down the salt levels, especially of the main courses. Otherwise it was quite the meal!

That bacon cauliflower in chili oil though!! This place was a nice scrumptious surprise! My bf and I were craving Chinese food and dined here on a Sunday night. The restaurant located in Watertown square is nice and cozy with plenty of small tables. The nice waitress gave us time to look through their lengthy menu. It was really hard to decide since there are so many options but we finally decided on their pork in sweet soy sauce, scallion pancakes with beef their cauliflower and fried rice. The food came out nice and hot and packed with tons of flavor! Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection! To our surprise the cauliflower had big chunks of bacon and it was bathed in chili oil! YUM! The pork in soy sauce was also very good. The pork was tender and flavorful and the chunks of cucumber tasted fresh and were nice and crunchy. The scallion pancakes almost stole the spotlight from the cauliflower because the actual pancake dough tasted like a crunchy fried wonton! Yes! I love wontons! The portions are generous which was nice because we got to take lots of leftovers home! We will definitely be back!

Came here right when they opened and the restaurant remained pretty empty the whole time I was there so we were able to choose where to sit! The food is around 12-25 for any of the average dishes and the portions are reasonable. The quality was really good! The beef and tripe in chili oil was my favorite, top 3 I've had. I would definitely come back again :)

One of my favorite Szechuan food place in the area! We decided to dine-in tonight and the ambiance was calm and not too crowded which we enjoyed. We ordered spicy cucumber and wonton in chili oil to start, soooo good and tasty! We then had the chicken and beef chili with some Szechuan dry-style eggplant! Divine and rich in flavors!! Highly recommend and prices are affordable!

Pretty food stuff here. Chengdu spicy chicken was great. It's a small place, 8 tables, with public parking around the corner. Menu has all the Chengdu usual suspects. Waitress spoke English, or faked it pretty good. Prices were average for 2023. They don't ask you what spice level you want, which is good. Just order and don't be a kitty cat. It's spicy but do you want to live forever?

    Intestine

First of all, the duck blood was hard and smelly, but I didn't say anything because I had already received a refund. But then when I ate the fat intestines, a very strong smell of shit spread in my mouth, and I vomited. I didn't expect it would cause me so much damage! Don't order the Spicy Aromatic Pork Blood in this restaurant!

Best dry pot I've had in Massachusetts. I ordered "very hot" black fungus, fish tofu, tofu skin, lotus root, and string beans and I ate the whole thing in one sitting. Absolutely DELICIOUS and packed full of flavor. It may look oily, but there's so many complex, beautiful flavors cooked in. I really love that they have the perfect balance of spicy and vinegar-y, not sweet at all for us spicy lovers. Pricey but absolutely worthwhile. I also enjoyed my bowl of beef noodle soup, but I should've asked for it to be extra spicy because they do not skimp on peppercorns. Takeout was perfect - food was on time and packaged very nicely. I am utterly addicted and cannot wait to go back!!!

First of all, I love that they said on their website, "Americanized Chinese? We refuse!". That's awesome because I can totally relate to it w/ my restaurant. Lol. It's hard to cater to everyone's taste so the message and the execution is clear. I ordered dan dan mein, noodles w/ longhorn pepper w/ shredded beef (my fave!!), shredded pork w/ dry bean curd (sooo good and reminded me of my mother-in-law's cooking), beef and tripe in chili oil, wonton in chili oil (it's a clear numbing chili oil), and chengdu crispy spicy chicken. All of these dishes were very tasty, full burst of flavors and had just the right amount of saltiness that you just want to eat more. It's not overly salty like some Sichuan places that I have been to and it has that good wok toss flavors. What stood out to me were the stir fried duck blood and some other exotic items on the menu so I'll have to come back for those! P.S. Online ordering had some issue on the website when I tried to order online, the check out button did not show up at the end. Had to call in.

From the very attentive and supportive staff to the intricate details that they have throughout the restaurant , it is truly transformative experience. As for the food, if you're in the mood of something spicy, especially that Sichuan type of heat, then the beef soup is the one for you! I personally would recommend the green pepper pork because it was absolutely delicious! I could not stop eating it and it was just perfect in every which way! Looking forward to coming here again to try many other delicious foods and will probably bring a couple of more friends because their group seating is absolutely stunning!

5 for food 2 for service…read more We love the NYC version of this restaurant, and were excited to visit the Boston spot for mouth numbing dishes. Starting with an iPad menu, our ordering experience with our waiter was subpar. We ended up with extra things ordered that weren't part of our initial order. In good news the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fire and the waiter poured 5 glasses of water for 3 of us. So we could cool down without needing to flag him down. With the only non-Asian waiter in the restaurant, he struggled with basic elements of service. Inattentive. Requests went unmet (lemons for water). We sat for more than 15 mins after asking to box up leftovers and to close our check. This was all a little embarrassing, as we brought my boyfriend's father. After singing praises of the NYC spot, this was a disappointment.

The waitresses are always attentive. My family loves the food here. I am skeptical of the negative reviews posted about this establishment. If you are a fan of spicy food, I recommend any of their dishes that has longhorn peppers in them. The heat from the peppers fires up your tongue but doesn't linger. The crunch of the peppers also adds a nice texture. The seasoning and sauces in the longhorn peppers dishes compliments the meat, be it beef or pork. I like their vegetable dishes too. The vegetables are singed on the outside but have that snap that reminds you of their freshness. All in all, I am a fan of this establishment and you should pay them a visit.

I always like to order their hot pot of tea which was perfect that night because it was pretty cold outside. They have a huge menu which is always overwhelming but everything we have tried so far has been very good. This time we got the veggie dish that came with tofu, twice cooked pork, fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Everything came out nice and hot and we quickly dove in! We wanted to finish everything but we left half of our food so we could have leftovers. I really liked the pork that night. It was very flavorful and the meat was nice and tender. The chicken was also very good and nice and tangy. The service is always really great. They really like to top off your tea pot with hot water even before you have a chance to finish it.
