On April 20, 2020 Bill B. and my next door neighbor arrived at my house and while exercising good social distancing discussed the game plan for removing and replacing a shared fence. Bill was polite and professional, covered the process in detail , and answered all questions to my complete satisfaction. One week later , as scheduled, Bill and crew showed up promptly and got to work immediately, making short work of the demolition. By about 12:30 they had set the new post in concrete in preparation for rails and boards tomorrow, they also left the work site in good condition. The crew started early the next morning, my wife and I had other business to attend to and had to leave. We returned around 1:30 to find the job complete and the work site in pristine condition. I can't say enough good about Rich and Bill at Fences Plus. We needed a wrought iron gate installed for our church playground- on a very short notice. A different fencing company had installed our original fencing around the playground a year ago but they were not available to work with us on such short notice. I called to inquire about having additional fencing installed around my back yard to further protect from coyotes entering it. The gentleman's name was Rich who called. Their office was only a few miles from my home but they did not want to come to the house to see it in person so I could explain what I wanted. He had me send pictures to him which I did and he promised to get back to me. Well, to say the least, I never heard from him again. Rich and Bill from Fence Plus really went above and beyond to help me with a fencing time crunch. When I phone for a quote and appointment, they politely told me that the last huge wind storm had them booked solid for 3 weeks out. I explained I needed a fence put up in my yard in a week to keep our dogs safely corralled in our new home. Some were way out of line or seemed shady and some were very close on our short list so make sure to shop around. Rich and Bill were class act guys! They did two small custom fences for me and it could not turn out any better. They were very meticulous with the work done. Even when the job was done, Bill made it a point to look at every nook and cranny, would notice something and fix it. Nothing major found, just little things like a drop of spray paint that was on some brick. My home has 3 balconies with metal railings all of which are located significantly off the ground. From friends I got the name of 5 metal railing fabricators/installers. Fence Plus replaced a 125' long cedar fence between my property and my neighbor. Rich helped with explaining the process and costs -- he had to work twice as hard to explain to me and also to my particular neighbor. They (Rich) even split the invoice to make it easier for us to share the cost and pay separately. The owner, Bill, visited the site on both days of the installation and explained problems that came up (needed new base boards and additional supports due to elevation change between the two properties.) When questions came up about some design decisions, the installers stopped to get my opinion rather than just guessing. The team was congenial, professional, and hard-working. The area was left tidy and our new fence came out beautifully and well-made to last a long time. Timing was flexible (lots of rain this year!0, and Rich provided followup information about painting.
