Bill and his crew replaced 143 feet of fencing for us and did a superb job. Overall, we were very happy with the results and we will definitely use Fence Plus for any future fence projects we have. Quality: The quality of work was exactly what we were expecting based on their reviews. Bill is a true craftsman and the pride he takes in his work is evident as soon as he discusses the project with you. We knew we wanted to include a removable panel for getting large machinery in and out of our backyard, but we weren't exactly sure what we wanted. Bill talked us through our options and he helped us decide on the best route. Bill went above and beyond what was expected (he even partitioned a section of our yard so that our dog could safely go outside during the process). Price: Their price was very reasonable and came in under what we budgeted for the project. Their online estimator tool is a nice feature and ended up being quite accurate. Speed: We could not believe how fast the whole project was completed. The fence to be replaced backs up to a park that is relatively busy. We were not looking forward to having our yard and house exposed. The fence was torn down one day and the next day the new fence was up! Timing: It took a few tries to have someone come out and give an in-person estimate, but once we got Rich to our house, the rest of the process went smoothly. I waited a full year to write this review to make sure things held up, and I can now say with confidence that these guys are fantastic! I needed to tear down and replace a sagging old wooden fence, about 80', and move the front fence to a new location. We settled on a cap and trim, 3-rail fence with metal posts. Bill and his team did a great job! Bill spent s lot of time talking through the job, understanding our goals, concerns, and tastes, and ultimately advised us to a solution that fit our budget and looks awesome. I've been receiving compliments on the fence from neighbors periodically since the day it went in (admittedly, the last fence was not nearly as nice as this one). Bill is honest, operates with integrity, and clearly has a passion for fencing and prides himself on doing high-quality work. We did have some issues with warping boards (naturally happens with fresh wood) and some small rubbing on the gate a few weeks after the install, but I called Bill and he fixed it immediately. The one negative thing I have to say is that these guys are VERY busy. Apparently word is out that they're awesome; I'm trying to have them do some additional gates and they're scheduling jobs 5 weeks out. It's worth the wait, but plan ahead. read more

This is my 3rd review (ever) on yelp. I felt compelled to write this one. This review is not for the work performed, but for exceptional customer service and being a good community citizen. I called Fence Plus to see if they could build & install two standard wooden gates for me. Rich politely declined and explained that they don't take up small jobs. With most companies, that's where the conversation would have ended. Instead, Rich spent the next 10 minutes going over what my options were (handyman vs other companies on yelp). He even digged up a recommendation for a handyman and painstakingly explained the pros and cons and what I should look for. At the end of the call, he said if I don't find anyone to my satisfaction in a week. I should call him back and he would send his crew over a Saturday to install the gates and do it at a non-standard price to accommodate me. Who does that these days. I was not a customer, he could have just hung up. I would have hung up if I was in his place. We need more people like Rich. I have never seen their work, but based on that conversation, I have no doubt in my mind that they will go above and beyond for their customer. read more

Our "good-neighbor" (wince) fence badly needed replacing. We had already obtained 3 wildly different bids when we found Fence Plus (A+) on the BBB site. Rich (office) used Google to very accurately estimate the linear feet for the initial proposal. Bill (owner-builder) then visited the site prior to construction. We coordinated our calendars and work began promptly on Sept 12 and ended the 16th. Why did we choose Fence Plus? 1. The company is licensed and bonded. 2. The price for our redwood fence was less than other bids for cedar. 3. Rich and Bill had answered every question we had about time-line, actual construction and the work crew. Why are we recommending Fence Plus? 1. We have over 200 feet of beautifully crafted redwood fence with 3 rails and Postmaster posts. 2. Fence Plus built a fence on north side of my house 8 months ago, recently the gate on south side need a minor job. I contacted Bill if he would fix it. I knew he was always busy, tiny job like this does not bring him income worth his trip, and also the old gate was not his responsibility to fix, so I was prepared for receiving no response from him. My HOA needed a custom fence builder with an eye for a reasonable budget, without a cookie cutter approach to fence building. We wanted to use a custom treatment by Eco Building Products called D-Fence applied to our wood fences. Fence Plus helped us apply Eco D-Fence which is termite, rot, fungal and UV resistant. In addition this same treatment is also Class A fire rated so our wood fences are about as flammable as a brick wall. With Eco D-Fence and Fence Plus's superior construction, our fences will last a very long time. Considering our previous untreated fencing has lasted over 20 years, we expect to get at least 30 years out of the new fencing. read more

It's hard to describe the joy I feel looking out my windows to the new fence that is now on much of the perimeter of our home. Whenever there was something in doubt, Bill and his crew consulted me to ensure that I was in the decision-making process, and aware of all details that could affect the finished product (something that I think sets them apart from other contractors). On April 20, 2020 Bill B. and my next door neighbor arrived at my house and while exercising good social distancing discussed the game plan for removing and replacing a shared fence. Bill was polite and professional, covered the process in detail , and answered all questions to my complete satisfaction. One week later , as scheduled, Bill and crew showed up promptly and got to work immediately, making short work of the demolition. I called to inquire about having additional fencing installed around my back yard to further protect from coyotes entering it. The gentleman's name was Rich who called. Their office was only a few miles from my home but they did not want to come to the house to see it in person so I could explain what I wanted.
