I don't usually leave reviews, but I can't express enough gratitude for Dr. Andersen! For nearly three weeks, I had severe pain in one of my back teeth along with what appeared to be a "lesion" on the inside of my gum. I saw two other dentists and was told that my tooth was fractured and needed to be extracted. I came to this office during their annual free extraction event expecting to lose the tooth. Dr. Andersen took the time to thoroughly evaluate the situation and wasn't convinced that extraction was the right answer. She determined that the "lesion" was actually a piece of bone protruding through the gum and removed it. Almost immediately, the pain that had been bothering me for weeks was gone. I am incredibly grateful not only because she found the real problem, but because she saved my tooth. Her knowledge, patience, and willingness to look deeper instead of rushing to remove the tooth made all the difference. Thank you, Dr. Andersen, for your exceptional care. I went in needing a crown. The dentist examined and x-rayed the tooth, but then refused to schedule the repair until I first booked a comprehensive exam for the rest of my teeth. I reluctantly agreed, and then on that second visit a different dentist demanded I undergo extensive imaging unrelated to the crown in question. When I declined the panorex she refused to either treat me or refer me to another dentist. This was unprofessional and unethical. If you want to make your own dental choices, this is not the practice for you. read more

My experience with Fells Point Dental (FPD) was spectacular! Scheduling was over the phone. Intake documentation was streamlined through their virtual platform. The intake form's link and reminders were received via text messaging. FPD therefore takes a more modernized approach to patient intake. All employees were kind. The dentist was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain things. Through her work and consultation, I could tell the dentist cared about being exceptional during my appointment. I love Fell's Point Dental. From the building to the female staff, I'm so comfortable and always greeted by the receptionists upon entering. The dental hygienist Alicia is the best! She's so thorough with my cleanings. She is gentle on my gums but really gets in there and makes my teeth sparkly clean. Dr. Grooms is amazing and thorough as well. I was dreading having to find a new dentist so I am so happy I found this office. First thing I noticed was how easy and convenient the parking is. I especially appreciated the fact that their reserved patient spots are a few steps from the door as it was cold and rainy out. You are warmly greeted by the front desk staff and fill out your patient info on an iPad. They were very prompt and I started right on time. Dr. Hwang is such a sweetheart and did an excellent job. She does adults and geriatric. Dr. Anderson sees kids and adults. They used this ultrasonic water pick device to clean my teeth. It was much more comfortable than the usual dry pick that's scrapped between your teeth. I highly recommend. read more

Normally i dont review medical offices on the lo but i found this place on yelp so had to leave a review. I will echo many things that people have already said here. I was looking for a new dental office to go to after moving here, and tried going other places but felt defeated as waits were scheduled almost few months out. I called the office expecting to maybe get an appointment in a month but they managed to get me the same day! Very efficient checkin by doing the forms online. Office has nice parking lot. The office appears clean, front staff is friendly and helpful. Wait is only a few minutes and the staff support is fantastic. Hygienist was good and the dentist also spent alot of time (more than i was expecting) to answer questions and listening and patient. I am very impressed and happy to have found a dentist. read more

I was very happy with my experience at Fells Point Dental! I honestly can't tell the nuances in quality or a dentist, so I won't comment on that besides having an average dental experience. However, as a patient trying to schedule an appointment around a busy work schedule, I really liked this place! It was easy to get an appointment for a new patient cleaning and then also easy to schedule follow up appointments for additional dental work. While there isn't unlimited availability, I was able to get a morning appointment within 10 days that accommodated my work schedule. Another thing I like is that they run relatively on time (although that is based on my 2 visits there). I asked how long the procedure would take and they quoted me the time that ended up being how long it took! Overall, unless you are very picky about your dental work (in which case you'll have to see for yourself), I'd definitely recommend coming here! read more

I absolutely love this dental office. Clean, state of the art and the customer service is impeccable. Today I booked an appointment for 9am at my old dentist office but I showed up to fells point dental. After checking their appointments they said sorry sir but your name is not on the schedule. So she tells me to hold on and she goes and gets Mia. Mia says I don't see your name but give me a sec. She comes back and said if you don't mind a small wait we will take care of you. So I went to this place because of high ratings on yelp. Now it makes me question this is all fake. First of all, it was very difficult to find the entrance, on a rainy day. Finally I found it. I was quickly seated. I have expressed that I am not interesting in any kind of dental work and all I want is prophylactic dental cleaning, and I had recent xrays from less than 2 months ago which I emailed whatever I could get, and I do not want to repeat repeat xrays again. I had my last cleaning in Boston less than 6 months ago, and had dental work previously less than 2 months. Despite all this, I was forced to get xrays, and I refused and I said I can sign paperwork if necessary that I do not want xrays. Later came Dr. Anderson, and basically said she can't provide any treatment if I can't get xrays and this is standard of care here in the states. I had mentioned that i had a dentist in turkey, and she immediately assumed i am a foreigner. I have been living in this country for almost 10 years, and I am a medical doctor myself, and I was being forced to do things that I did not want in a condescending way and despite having said that I was not interesting in any kind of dental work even if xrays showed something and I only want to get cleaning, this was not honored. I quickly left saying I do not want to be a patient in this practice. Save yourself the agony and do not go to this place. You will be coerced into doing things you do not want and threatened that they can't offer you cleaning (which is part of your dental insurance). I care about the radiation that I get exposed, and noone can force me into more and more xrays when I clearly stated I am not interested in any kind of dental work. no thank you. read more

Fells Point Dental is the first practice I've found that doesnt give me insane amounts of anxiety. I've been seeing them for about 2 years now I think, and I never dread it. Katelynn is always the first person to welcome me. Shes incredibly kind and comfortable to chat with, and she's always helpful when it comes to breaking down costs to make it easier on you and your wallet. Dr. Hwang is my dentist and she's honestly a blessing. Not only is she incredible at being a dentist, but shes also very good at handling someone elses pain. I always require a lot of novocaine for my procedures, and she actually taught me the reason why! Science! As for nerves, she's so calming and compassionate throughout the entire process. If you're looking for a new dentist and you're nervous, don't be. This place will take care of you. read more

They give you an initial low-ball estimate to make you go along with their treatment plan. Every time you leave the place, they tell you you owe much more than what was predicted. And once your treatment has ended, they keep on sending out new bills for more money, saying that your dental insurance isn't covering what they had calculated. The end result is an expensive treatment that you wouldn't have accepted in the first place, had they been up front about their real costs... read more

I needed to establish a new dental home since moving to Baltimore and I am beyond thrilled that I found Fells Point Dental. From the first phone call they've been so kind, courteous, and accommodating. The front desk staff is excellent. They got me in so quickly for a cleaning (within the week!) and my hygienist was incredibly kind and skilled (I will update this post once I remember her name because she deserves credit for being so great). Dr. Monica Hwang was kind, made me feel heard, and addressed my concerns promptly. I felt incredibly well taken care of. The practice itself is gorgeous and clean and has appropriate Covid measures in place to protect themselves and their patients. Huge plus that they have a parking lot!
