I've been avoiding the dentist for years because I had a rough experience with my last dentist. I wish I'd come to Canton Dental sooner! Everyone was so kind and explained every step of the way and kept checking in to make sure I was OK. I even got a little break between bottom and top teeth. Everyone was polite and I was in and out even though I had a full cleaning and X-rays. Canton Dental is a wonderful dental office. The hygienists I've had are very skilled, and efficient, and explain what's happening very clearly. On different visits I've had a broken filling replaced (Dr. Esquilín) and a loose crown tightened (Dr. Lin) and am extremely happy with their professionalism, quality of work, and friendliness. The space is relaxing and beautifully designed with lots of natural light. Parking in Lighthouse Point is validated. Highly recommended! read more

If you like being sold a bill of goods every time you go in, this is the dentist for you. You can have very good dental habits at home but they will no doubt try to sell you on electronic toothbrushes, more frequent cleaning visits not covered by your insurance, or even orthodontics. All the while providing you with the most negative feedback that almost veers on scare tactics about your dental health. Our first family visit to Canton Dental Associates (6/2024) went amazingly well and we are ecstatic to have found our new dental care home. All interactions including those around insurance, scheduling, front desk / reception, dental cleaning, exam, recommendations, etc. were professionally handled and pleasant even. The office is attractively designed / decorated, technologically current and well staffed by a very cohesive group of professional staff. I put off going to the dentist for 15 years after a bad experience. Everyone at Canton Dental was fantastic - from my initial phone call through the intake, hygienist (Regina) and Dr. Lin. They did x-rays, measured and recorded gum recession, and the dentist was so thorough she saw something potentially medical and advised me to follow up on it with a different professional. Overall a good experience here! The office is easy enough to find, and they validate parking for the Lighthouse Point gated lot. They ran just about on-time. Dr. Lin made me feel comfortable and gave recommendations that made sense. Answered our questions. I left with a plan of options if needed in the future. She seemed competent and kind, just maybe a little quick - almost in a hurry. Her dental hygienist or assistant was great and also helped explain what was happening. I'd trust them to care for dental issues in the future. I will say, this is kind of a no-frills experience otherwise. No screens or opportunity to look at X-rays together, no music for patients, not many details unless you ask. No unique office touches or samples to try. Not a big deal - taking care of the teeth is obviously the main thing. I have to agree with some of the other reviews about the one (slight) downer though: the office administrative side wasn't the greatest for me. I received conflicting answers about scheduling from 2 different desk staff members, then had a different price quoted at scheduling than was actually charged day-of for the same service. They are cutting back on which insurance they accept, which limits our family members (we hoped to be seen at the same practice). I wish they were a little more helpful communicating with the insurance plans, which is probably a pain for everyone involved. They also send you a link with forms the day of your appointment, but there were multiple forms -- would have been easier to fill them out a day ahead if I knew. None of that is really related to Dr. Lin or her care - she seemed good! I would recommend her in general - I felt it was worth a couple extra calls to the desk to reach someone or clarify questions. read more

My husband and I used to go to a Dental clinic on Eastern Avenue and coming to Canton Dental was a drastic change in terms of the location, ambience, doctor's expertise and modern-age equipments. I found this dental clinic on Yelp- it had all 5 star reviews so we decided to give it a shot. We were able to get an appointment very soon to see Emily Lin. We had visited this clinic for a second opinion and there was no looking back. My husband got his tooth extracted and his experience was painless. I went here for basic cleaning and Jessica did a wonderful job on my teeth. The only downside is that it is expensive as compared to our previous dentist. However, the service justifies the price. read more

Besides basic cleaning, they have done my Invisalign, fillings, a tooth extraction, and a crown. Dr. Lin is very skilled and very gentle. There is ample free off street parking as well. The whole family comes here for dental care. We have had nothing but great experiences. When my son (at 7 y.o.) fell in the playground and broke his front tooth, they saw him right away and made sure he got the care he needed to save the tooth. We see Dr O'Connell and she is super nice and patient and the hygienists I have seen do a fabulous job cleaning my teeth. The front desk staff are welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. My absolute favorite thing about canton dental is that they are on time, you never wait more than 2 minutes in the waiting room. The hygienist takes you back and works on your cleaning right away, and the doctor comes quickly after you're never waiting more than 2 minutes there either. I have been going to Canton Dental for 3 years for routine things but then needed a crown and wasnt really happy with the care I received regarding it, especially with regards to billing. I wasn't really prepared for what a crown would entail or given any other options by my dentist / nothing was really explained well in advance. They billed me $484 as I left to my credit card even though I was told it would be around $200 beforehand, and then I had to go back/forth between the dental office and my insurer to ensure I was billed the correct amount (still an ongoing process).
