I've been here a few times over the years and my experience there has always been the same. I've never had to wait, usually in and out in less than an hour, Doctor is straight forward, and they are flexible with scheduling. I recently moved out of state and have had too much strife while trying to get in to see a dentist, so I tried to make an appointment with Canton dental. The receptionist worked with me and went above and beyond in being polite and accommodating despite me asking for a last minute appt, with new insurance, and giving a short period of time to come in. She did everything she could to make it easy for me after I explained my experience... they were even accommodating with money I owed them (surprise!) and told me I could take my time and pay it back as I was able which I didn't ask for. This is the type of drama free dentistry that I am all about. I have liked this dentist as a four year patient but I can truly recommend them with good faith to anyone! I felt that Dr. O'Connell was dismissive and short when explaining my issue and answering my questions - takes an aggressive approach without discussing alternative treatment options. Canton Dental is quite simply the best dentist experience I've ever had. After reading the outstanding reviews about Dr. Lin I decided to finally end my 6 year dental hiatus (I know I know, really bad). I was a little nervous and embarrassed when I walked into Canton Dental but was quickly put at ease. Everyone from Reception, to Technicians and Dr. Lin were just fantastic - welcoming, informative, and professional yet friendly. Services included, a thorough cleaning, X-rays and ultimately 6 fillings (to be expected after a 6 year absence). 2 years later my fillings are doing great (no more to date either!). I'm a 6 month regular with Dr. Lin and even decided to do my Invisalign through her. What finally prompted me to post a review is my experience this morning - I showed up a week early for an Invisalign check in - instead of telling me to come back next week they wiggled some things around and saw me regardless. I was mortified by my scheduling error but they assured me I was there and they were happy to see me. I've only been once (for a cleaning), but it was the best experience with a dentist's office I've ever had! For starters, you can do EVERYTHING ONLINE. Well, not the visit itself, but everything else. Smooth and seamless from requesting an appointment as a new patient until I left the facility after the check up. Everyone who works there is super friendly, but also professional. My cleaning was great...I kind of can't wait for the next one. (I can't believe I actually typed that, because I hate going to the dentist). I have Blue Choice HMO insurance (which is pretty limiting), but it's accepted at this office. The only downside is it's hard to find in the outdoor shopping center where it's located. If you're at the 7-11 and facing it, walk to the left and there's an entrance to a bunch of offices. Go inside, check the board for the office number, and take the elevator up. Either way, give yourself some extra time to park and find it if this is your first time! read more

Stopped in Canton Dental today and I have to say this is the best Dentist office I have ever been to. The office is located off Boston St right off the water. When you go in, you sit in a waiting room typical of any dentist, but instead of rude pushy receptionists, they're actually friendly and have pleasant personalities. After waiting a few minutes after filling out forums the dental hygienist came out to get me. I went into the patient room and it was gorgeous, exposed brick, huge windows letting in tons of sunlight and a great view of the church off of Boston Street. Seriously the coolest dentist's office I've ever been to. I got a routine cleaning and x-rays and the hygienist was really good and nice. The dentist came in towards and the end and was likewise friendly. I will definitely become a regular patient. read more

I see Dr. O'Connell, she is great. I would recommend her 100%. She is careful, doesn't lean on your jaw when she's working (you know what I mean!) and is always ready to answer questions. And does great work! The staff is nice too. I gave the office 4 stars because it's not very clean, especially the bathroom. There's another restroom outside in the hall that's spotless, so I suggest you use that one. read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple of years and I saw a Groupon featuring Canton Dental Associates and decided to buy it. The Groupon included x-rays and a teeth cleaning and I scheduled my appointment in February. I walked in to their office and was immediately greeted by the receptionist. I had filled out the paperwork online, so I just had to wait for someone to call me back. It didn't take long and I was escorted to the back by the hygienist. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth did a wonderful job and was very friendly. I hate taking x-rays of my mouth because I always gag, but she made it quick and pretty painless. Afterwards, the dentist came in and looked at my x-rays and also did a quick exam. He recommended that I get my wisdom teeth removed and referred me to a couple of oral surgeons in the area. (I got them removed at the Krupp Center http://www.yelp.com/biz/krupp-center--bernard-krupp-towson#query:oral%20surgeon from a recommendation through a co-worker.) They sent me home with a nice little goody bag full of dental treats. I went back for a cleaning last month and had the same hygienist. She remembered me from the last visit, but unfortunately I didn't remember her. Either way, she remembered my teeth and was very friendly again, chit-chatting and making as much small talk as you can while your teeth are getting cleaned. I highly recommend this dentist's office to anyone that is in need of a friendly and professional staff. read more

4.5/5 I have been seeing Dr. Lin and getting regular cleanings at Canton Dental Associates for a few years now and I am very satisfied with the care I get! I originally found them after reviewing dentists in the area that accepted my insurance CareFirst. I was able to schedule my intake appointment a few months out in advance and it was easy getting established as a patient. They are located on the 2nd floor of the Lighthouse Point Building. You can park inside the security gate and get parking validation. When you first enter the building you have to sign in with security and then can take the elevators up to the 2nd floor. The waiting room is clean and spacious and I do not remember having to wait more than 15 min before being taken back. The receptionists aren't as sweet as the rest of the staff sometimes, but they have a stressful job too. The exam area is modern, well-equipped, and comfortable with educational material around. Half of the rooms are located street side and have big windows so you can see how nice it is outside! The dental hygienists are well-trained and incredibly nice--they are a huge asset to the group! Dr. Lin is a great leader likewise, always answers all of my questions, and makes me feel well cared for! I always recommend this practice to all my friends. read more

Missing Dr. K. And Lisa terribly. Appointments have gone from 2-3 weeks out, to 4-8 weeks out, depending on the type of work needed and preferred dentist. My last appt. I thought some long needed restoration work was getting started. Before I knew it, the visit was over, dentist rushed out of the room with little explanation. I discovered upon checkout that my predetermination/ treatment plan had not been submitted. It takes approx. 1 mo. to get it back from ins. co. Called to schedule appt. for the work, and I received an appt. for 8 weeks out, to my dismay. When I said that I could not wait that long, there was no offer for a solution by the receptionist. I announced that I would have to seek service elsewhere, the receptionist still had no offer of help so I had to YELP. PS I have an appt. next week with another office. . My advice to Canton Dental is expand your hours and or your staff , to accommodate Jerry's patients in the manner they've become accustomed to being treated. I called here quite some time ago asking if they took my insurance When I told them I had Medicaid. The voice changed to discussed and was very rude. Well now I have Blue Cross Blue shield. And I wouldn't go to this dentist if they were the last dentist on earth. Everyone has hard times. And the woman could've explained a payment plan. Or just have been nice. Being an individual that is apprehensive of Dental Offices my overall experience with Canton Dental was exceptional! The atmosphere in this office was very warm and friendly...the front desk staff was welcoming upon my arrival. My reason for the visit being just a general checkup and cleaning I was pleased to learn that Dr. Lin herself was going to be doing the exam. For years I had a concern of jaw pain and have complained of constant pain to many doctors .. Dr. Lin was able to identify and diagnose my issue quickly . After her diagnosis of TMJ she was efficient and informative of treatment options. The cleaning done by Regina (Hygienists) was done expertly. After completion of my visit I was again greeted at the desk by the office manager who was able to help me understand the treatment plan and billing options. Canton Dental makes me not dread going to the dentist. The girls at the front desk are extremely friendly and helpful. It is a nice change from the usual medical assistants that you come across at doctors' offices. Generally, all the appointments run on time! I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. They are extremely organized and thorough over there. The rooms are all very clean and all the dentists and the dental hygienist are extremely personable and friendly. Before I leave, they always help me set up my next appointment and validate my parking. As long as I'm still in Baltimore, I'll continue coming here. read more

I have been to Canton Dental before and while they did a good job with my teeth, when my insurance switched I made sure to check in with them to make my insurance would still be accepted which they ensured me it would be. After I received the cleaning I get a phone call that it wasn't accepted and that I owed $150. Make sure to do your research on your insurance and DO NOT TRUST Canton Dental Associates to give you good information. read more

I was above and beyond pleased with my visit to Canton Dental last week. I honestly can say I walked out of their office in a better mood than I woke up. Every single person from the minute you walk in until the second you leave is lovely and knowledgeable and helpful. They allow you to complete new patient forms online prior to your visit and also offer text message confirmation and reminders for upcoming appointments, rather than phone calls which can be bothersome elsewhere. My dental hygienist was Jess and I would absolutely recommend her! She was wonderful and thorough during my cleaning and had an incredibly upbeat personality. I was a patient of Canton dental since Dr. Killian open his practice. He allowed me to make payments. Well he sold his practice had a problem went to see Dr. Kilian before he moved to Florida. Well I was told that I had to pay the total amt. So I put it on my credit card and never went back again. I guess money means more to the new owners then helping long time customers. read more

I love going to the dentist! Just kidding .. actually I hate going to the dentist and I was petrified before my appointment at Canton Dental. It was seriously the best dental appointment I've ever had. The staff here is so nice! I had a great experience at every point of my appointment, from scheduling to the cleaning to setting up a follow-up appointment. Very easy, very fast, very efficient. You can do everything online too, which is a major plus. My dental hygienist, Jess, was fantastic. She was very professional and made me feel at ease with taking x-rays and my cleaning. My cleaning was super thorough and surprisingly pain-free. Before I left she set me up with a follow-up appointment at my preferred time and took care of my parking validation. Giving this place 2 stars because my first two experiences with them were good. However my last visit I was told my insurance would cover a service it didn't. The people I dealt with on the phone to get the issue resolved were short and rude. I left voicemails that were unanswered. They then charged me $59 for a missed appointment which I cancelled online and then on the phone the day before when they failed to give me a call back which the online cancellation form had said they would. I'll be looking for a new dentist unfortunately. read more

My family and I were in the area to visit relatives. My cousin had a dental emergency, so we googled and found Dr Lin office. From the front call to the moment Dr Lin arrived in the chair to greet her it was totally exceptional experience! I know how hard it in for my cousin to see a different dentist and she was SUPER nervous. DrLin was very knowledgable to explain to us what going on and what to expect during the procedures. When I requested an explanation of the discrepancy I was given a patronizing response from the front office. They disclaimed all responsibility for any estimate I received over the phone. This place is great! Made an appointment in October for December, (the other 2 dentists I tried to called didn't have spots until February!) I had to change my appt last minute and they were very accommodating. I only waited five minutes in the waiting room until I was taken back. Jes the hygentist was amazing!!! 1- star ... The place was clean. Narration of events follow: I decided to try out this establishment secondary to location, perferred medical provider for my dental insurance company and decent reviews online. I called to make an appointment and asked if I could have the actual dentist for my cleaning since this was my first visit (nothing against hygienist). The receptionsit appeared to have an issue with this based on her tone, but eventually she made the appointment, I mean who wouldn't want to actually establish a rapport with the person who could potentially give you a root canal?? Anyway I filled out all necessary paperwork online per company request. I was on time for the appointment, and called my insurance provider prior to, to make sure I knew co-pay and since I did not have a policy number, only a group number I wanted to see if they needed anything else. They said no. I arrived gave my information and then they asked for my social. I asked if I could use my group number, but they said no and made me call my insurance company to get an alternate number. They were not able to do so, after being on hold and not getting very far, I said here is my ssn. Got my x-rays, and was waiting on the doctor ( Dr. Rollor). She comes in, not even introduces her self. She says " since you had problems with your insurance, I can not give you a cleaning, only the exam. I have a 4:00 and you will have to reschedule". I said "I did not have problems with my insurance, and I will just reschedule. I went to the front desk requested my information and of course will not make another appointment. Why? Well if I am going to establish a raport with a physician for the long term, I prefer to go to a doctor that makes me feel comfortable, especially if you may potentially need to have more serious work in the future. Why not deal with companies/ physicians which make you feel like your business is valued, and since it is a service based industry (and obviously a new doctor), building a clientle would be of importance??? Atleast to me it would. I am a therapist and I would never act like that to any of my patients. Next! read more
