Chai Latte

Solid coffee stand. They get you your drink fast and it always tastes good and is strong. I really love getting a chai w espresso. More of a grab and go spot altho there is some seating outside and a bagel spot next door.

One of my all time favorite coffee places. Great service and fantastic variety of drip coffee and espresso drinks. In addition, excellent selection of baked goods to supplement your coffee. They even have pup cups with dog biscuits. Classic Berkeley spot with laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Good coffee, great prices. This is great spot to grab your coffee and morning pastry to-go. There is a patio area to sit, however, it does not have heat lamps or overhead cover, so it is not the "coziest" space to perch with your beverage! That's ok though, because the large parking lot and convenient location make it a great lit stop for any morning commute! I stopped by on a Friday morning just as they were opening (7am) and there was already a small queue forming. Ordered an Americano and a vegan donut. The prices were reasonable and the coffee came quick and hot! What more do you need really?

Can't complain about anything here. It's in a little side street and has a parking lot attached so no need to worry about street parking. Probably the best priced coffee in the area. 16oz latte for less than $5 is a steal. Wouldn't say it was the best latte that I have ever had far from the worst. It definitely hit the caffeine need that I had. Haven't tried any of the baked goods so will need to do that at some point. But I've tried the breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Pretty sure they're pre-packaged and microwaved (at least looking at how the cheese oozed from my sandwich) but doesn't mean they weren't tasty. Will definitely be back and will try out one of the pastries.

** The following review reflects my experience prior to the shelter-in-place order currently in effect. ** Not by intention, but this may be the model for the post-COVID-19 coffee house. It's a walk-up operation in a small building with no indoor tables. It wouldn't take much to eliminate the human interaction completely. Maybe they could turn the order window into a revolving window like at the more paranoid bank branches. It would be worth the effort since the $2.75 Cafe au Lait was quite satisfying (photo: https://bit.ly/3bm7bLt). There were lots of baked goods if you need the indulgence. You deserve it during these dark times. COFFEE - 4 stars...smooth organic brews served here AMBIANCE - 3 stars...it's a walk-up so not much to say SERVICE - 4 stars...pretty quick TOTAL - 4 stars...a model of cafes to come RELATED - Looking for coffee in the East Bay? I also appreciate that it doesn't close as early as most cafes! It does get quite busy so finding a seat can be tricky. Garage parking is nearby but there is street parking, which isn't always available. RECS: + Latte with banana cream (~$8.25 large) was UNREAL. Coffee was smooth and pleasant. The banana cream is so good, and I say this as a person who doesn't usually like banana flavored drinks or things + Banana chai einspanner ($8.25 large) is the actual menu item, so it has that delicious banana cream and also caramelized banana syrup. Great for a lower caffeine option, but I still prefer the latte

Came at around 4pm on a Sunday and the cafe was still so packed. Parking was a bit difficult. We had to drive around for over 10 minutes and finally found a parking garage. The chai itself was worth it though. My friend and I both got the karak chai, mine was cold and hers was hot. Both really good although the flavor came out better hot. The Elaichi bun was full of cardamom flavor and just a bit toasted was perfect complementary to the chai. Really wish we lived closure otherwise this would be a go to spot. Please open a location in South Bay!

This place is the definition of a matcha bar with its friendly staff, emphasis on product quality, and inviting third space environment to relax in and linger at the small tables along the wraparound window seat to enjoy the drinks. I first tried the black sesame matcha, one of my fave drinks of all time, as it combines two of my most favorite flavors. It was executed perfectly, and I liked it so well that I went back for round two and got the black sesame hojicha, which was just as good. Like it extra thicccc and creamy?…read more Mindspänner. GET IT. Making my way through Berkeley's cafes, Mind Coffee's thicccc layer of whipped cream caught my attention. Being steps away from UCB's main entrance, street parking is hard to come by and it's a small shop with limited seating (all taken by students) so not the ideal place to do meet ups. Mind Coffee roasts and sells their own beans, and uses Arteao matcha and hōjicha. Decaf available. No charge for oat milk! Pastries and breakfast sandwiches available. Order ahead on Snackpass to skip the line. D R I N K S * Iced Whipped Honey Cream Hōjicha Latte w/ oat milk (Seasonal-$8.95) Rich, creamy, and roasty with a natural sweetness. The house whipped cream was thicc, fluffy, and cloud-like. Delicious esp with the bee pollen adding a subtle crunch. * Iced Mindspänner Matcha Latte ($7.50) Hand-whisked to order, the matcha was vibrant and smooth with an earthy umami. Not watered down. The fluffy whipped cream softened the earthiness and added a light sweetness. * Iced Mindspänner Latte ($7.50) - Add extra shot of espresso (+$1) Not mine but I had a sip, bold and creamy...affogato without the ice cream. S E R V I C E Warm, upbeat, and gracious staff...positive vibes all around. The ladies were so sweet and brought a cup of water for the pups as were were ordering. They also pointed out that the dog featured on the storefront and cups is actually the owner's dog, which made the place feel even more personal and charming. Drinks were ready in about 5 minutes (no line at the time). A M B I A N C E Gorgeous minimalist zen space centered around mindfulness, there's floor and table seating, and two tables outside. Inside seating is hard to come by tho since students laptop camp. Restroom available. Overall, we really enjoyed our lattes and the genuine service was just the cherry on top. Gen Z stare where?
