This place was amazing 3 years ago. Now days not so much. 5.49 for literally a spoon full of cheese that wasn't even melted all the way. I couldn't get a chip thru after 3 or 4. They also don't season their food like they used too. I won't be goin back. The service is still good though. read more

They used to be really good but have gone downhill in recent years. I went back today, ordered 9 tacos for $38 and received these very skimpy tacos. The food tastes good but highly over priced for the amount of food you receive. read more

This place is small, the parking lot is tiny.. but it is worth every squeeze and wait time. The refried beans are dreamy. My favorite CANNOT miss are their pork carnitas. Omg.. just try them. I called today and placed a large order for lunch. The person who answered was very nice but didn't speak clear English. The phone was then passed to another person who was rude and sounded as if she didn't want to be there and was rushing my order. When she asked for my name to place the order I was then hung up on. I called back to make sure the order was placed. I was told to hold on. A conversation was going on in the background in Spanish and I was hung up on again. I find it rude and very unprofessional to be hung up on not only once but twice. I do not live here nor have I ever eaten at this establishment. I am currently at work and my coworkers were wanting to place an order for lunch. I do not recommend this place due to their poor customer service. read more

Ran into this place by accident, missed my exit when driving back from South padre ISland, and this place caught my eye, this is for the Leopard location. It's a small casual mexican cafe/restaurant. I had Nopalitos (cactus) with egg and refried beans and potatoes (Huge serving) only 3.99 WOW!! my wife had the Machaca with eggs beans and potatos 4.99, also just as big, my son we ordered 1 chopped steak taco carne asada, very, very big but he did scarf it down, the salsas are good, but I did get home with Montezumas revenge..LOL, the best thing are the home made flour tortillas, fresh and hot, I spoke with the owners sister and they told me her brother also has a location in Garland, I will have to check it out.. Again if not from the area you will need to use your GPS or its off of I-37 and Leopard.. Good tasty food read more

Hot coffee, and tacos are what brought us into this place. Beef and chicken fajita breakfast tacos were out of sight ; wrapped in home-made flour tortillas, and topped off with smoky salsa verde. The place was crowded, most definitely a locals establishment. Will be back the next time in town. read more

Food was amazing. Our family and I shared and tried various dishes. Something for everyone. Usually chicken fajita isn't my first choice, but it was amazing. Back in Georgia, chicken is usually poorly seasoned and over cooked/dry. This was the complete opposite. Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Loved the homemade tortillas! Delicious! The service was speedy. However it wasn't during breakfast or lunch hour. We sat down and were greeted immediately. Our server came to get our drink orders and came back to ask if we were ready. We were but she didn't give us enough time to say yes and just told us I'll give you more time. We had the #14 and it was really good. The server recommend that plate. I had the enchiladas. I didn't really like them as much. I like mine a bit more juicer and mine were dry. Overall a decent place to eat. read more

This place is The WORST Mexican restaurant I have ever been too!!!! The cook/chef is obviously employed by a Mexican restaurant and yet does not know how to cook Mexican food........the portions are for a toddler and while you are waiting the whole 45min for a taco and a drink the 9 waitresses are behind the counter eating the lunch you are paying for and the bus boy was eating his lunch out of the bin that the half eaten left overs are in!!!! Gross!! And to add sugar to that he was licking and sucking his finger tips like it was the best meal ever!! Yuck!!! The one off of leopard is by far the best out of the two. I've never had anything there I've having been a fan off. The breakfast tacos are awesome, they use good cheese (not that super Orange greasy crude you find at other places) tortillas are homemade. Caldo is yummy, they have some of the best Spanish rice and salsa around. The staff is always awesome. You can't go wrong giving this place a try. read more

AMAZING! I just had the best Carne Guisada ever. This place totally rocks and is worth the drive down Leopard. I am working a temp job out on Southern Minerals and Up River and it's tough finding good places to eat. I've found three. S&J Bakery (great sandwiches and even better cinnamon rolls) and then there's Rigatoni's (fantastic...you need to try the tomato basil soup). Then there is Feliz Amanecer!!! The best Mexican food restaurant in South Texas. I'm"m not even kidding a little. I've driven by it before thinking it's just another taqueria but there's always a bunch of trucks there so today I stopped and man was I rewarded! Me and boyfriend were hungry and we're on our way to San Antonio.. we stopped by and ordered 1 taco a piece. He got the pastor taco and I ordered the chorizo, egg and cheese taco... I also asked for a water and never received it. By the time the food arrived. The food looked okay. I tasted my taco and it tasted like hamburger meat that was expired with egg and cheese. It was DISGUSTING. Meanwhile, my boyfriends taco was literally chunks of steak in a tortilla, ( it looked like canned dog food without the gravy stuff). Most pastor tacos are dressed with onion and cilantro. It didn't even have that. The server didn't check up on us at all until after the food arrived as well, I mean we only took 2 bites from our food. We advise no one come to this place!! If your considering it. We happened upon this place on our long road trip and we're so happy we did! I was craving nachos so I opted for the nachos with fajita beef and they were very very good. The restaurant is very clean, service was fast, and staff was friendly. The only cons were they charge for chips and salsa and their salsa is a bit spicy but I would absolutely recommend stopping here and certainly will if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Do not go through the drive thru and pay with a credit card. The cashier will not give you your receipt to add a tip or not. She will scam you and put in a dollar amount of her choice behind your back and charge your card once you leave the drive thru with your food. read more
