She is so warm, funny, talented and beautiful and she makes you feel special and pretty. She's literally one of the sweetest people I've ever known. Now, let's talk extensions. I've wanted them forever - I have pretty thin hair that does not like to grow past my shoulders. Amy and I met for the consult and played with all the color swatches (so fun!). We took some time making sure we had the right colors because once you order the hair you can't change the color. The colors turned out ah-maz-ing. It takes a few hours to install but the time flies by because Amy and I are just chatting away and having fun. The end result seriously brought me to tears. It took some getting used to because the hair feels like another appendage when you never had much hair before. I thought the bonds would be uncomfortable to sleep in but they are not - I don't even really notice them anymore. With my hair being thin I was worried about stressing it out and causing it to weaken my natural hair and creating long term damage. That is always a risk when you color, use heat or anything really, so I just try to be super careful that I don't tug the hair too hard, get it stuck under my purse strap, let my kids pull on it, etc. I always kinda have my guard up now, lol, but it's so worth it. When I went in for my first lift (about 4 weeks post-install) Amy moved a couple of pieces around based on my feedback/questions, shaped the front a little and made it look more amazing! She also looked for signs that my hair roots were getting stressed out or if I was being too rough on the bonds. So she really goes the extra mile to have you looking fab and keep your natural hair healthy. And, because you are investing in this hair, don't skimp on the quality hair care products. Whatever Amy suggests you get, just get it. They have an amazing line of Kevin Murphy products and she set me up with everything I needed. It is pricey, but if you skimp you won't get a very long life out of your hair. This is like a dream come true. My hair has always been one of the things I disliked most about myself and as silly as it might sound, these extensions have changed my life. My stylist Nicole (1st time seeing her) , did an invigorating hair scalp scrub and an excellent hair massage with my hydration mask. My hair is super dry, tangled, and needs TLC. Nicole tackled and styled my hair with out problem. It feels very soft to the touch, and per always place was clean, relaxing and parking outside is free and accessible. There is a grace period but I didn't know how strict or not they were about it. I get to my appointment and right away, it's not a friendly and welcoming vibe. The person at the front (who was different than the one I had seen earlier the week before) and the person who worked on my hair seemed like they didn't want to be there at all and it showed. Bottom line - not worth it. I love treating and pampering myself, and this experience was quite frankly - awful. At times, it was actually painful because she just didn't care and was pulling my hair. I actually held my breath at times because I thought she was going to burn me with the hair tool. This was such a fantastic way to spend a Saturday, and my first time at the Terranea spa. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and the vibes were perfect. The place was very busy, but even so it never felt overly crowded or that you'd have to fight for space - plenty of quiet places and we got to experience a lot of the amenities privately. I had the CBD massage and it was fantastic. Afterwards my friend and I did the dry and wet saunas, the hot pool, the cold plunge and just chilled on the lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. Afterwards we also had lunch in the ajoining restaurant and it was a fantastic meal. Truly lucky to have had this experience - hopefully one day I can return the thoughtful favor!

Thank you Nikki and Joe for working on me for 5-6 hours to get this done. Honestly, I almost feel bad because Nikki would explain to me the process in detail and I would be clueless and just nodding my head since this was my first time and I got no clue about being blonde along with the technical terms included in the process of doing it. She knew this and changed her way of explaining so that I could understand it better. Haha. Things I learned was 1 close my eyes when they're rinsing off the bleach, 2 also close my eyes when I'm on the dryer with the bleach and 3 take all the stretch breaks that's offered. There's always a first time for everyone. The results were amazing!! I was nervous, scared and excited because it was a big change but also I didn't know if the color was gonna match me. She assured me that it would look great and it takes a lot to say something like that because that just meant that she knew what she was doing and it was true. Experience was great! She also fixed my chunky haircut and made it more streamlined which ultimately shaped it up to look amazing. We also did a trial run of curls to see how long it would hold if I decided to get it done a day before my nurse graduation this month.
