I found this place because I couldn't find buddy brew coffee, not from here just getting treatment at Moffitt so trying the local coffee shops around here. The parking is very funky, water to walk to. If homey is what you are looking for for this is the place. I prefer outside cafes and enjoying the sunshine. The inside of this home is pretty cramped, nowhere to stand while waiting for drinks. If one of the employees actually told me I could wait outside and they have a window they can call your name and give you your order that way, that would have been stellar customer service. Also know that if you would like a nice ceramic mug like I do, they won't ask you for here or to go, they will just give you a paper cup. I asked if they ever make drinks in mugs and the kind gentleman said yes if you are staying inside. He didn't ask so I didn't know. Miscommunication problem here on the business side. But whatever. The outside could be more pleasant and comfortable and almost return business from me if they actually had their employees CLEAN THE OUTSIDE TABLES AND CHAIRS! It wasn't enjoyable to hunker down with a table full of bird shit, ( I love nature and ima free hugger) I tolerated it to try to enjoy the I e vanilla latte. I asked if they use real extracts or puréed pumpkin as most establishments just use simple sugar syrups and I was hoping g that because they weren't big corporate chain they would strive for less processed especially because of the price of their drinks. There seemed to be a lot of downtime after a rush so there's really no excuse for not cleaning up crumbs or bird shit off the surfaces where their customers are supposed to eat and drink. For me to return here, I would really love to see clean outside, one more shade screen they don't cost much, and more hanging plants and flowers on tables or plants in general would make this space beautiful, add some bamboo for privacy and voila I might show up again. For now, I'll stick to businesses that stem e not only for friendly customer service but a clean environment as well. Bummer wanted to support local. Quemaria coffee does it right!!!! Boho but clean and nice global music playing, that would be nice here as some peoples conversations are loud. Something to drown out the traffic as well. Very cute coffee shop! Due to my food allergies I usually get my coffee black, so I can tell you the coffee here is so delicious! They have a variety of different lattes, teas, pour overs, and my favorite is the americano! They do have you order on an iPad and then bring your order to you, however I would recommend talking the barista if you have special dietary needs. They have a selection of sandwiches and pastries that look beautiful, but I would love to see an expanded food selection that includes some gluten free treats in future! The parking here is confusing at first, but there is a parking garage behind the apartment complex with some designated spots for customers. read more

This is about 2.5 stars coffee joint. This store basically is below of the apartment. Many USF students live here. The store front is visible from 42nd street. But there is no parking spot. Basically this is Neighborhood store only for the people who live there. The people who is there have their own drinks. This tell me something wrong for the customers mind set. I've made it a goal to try every coffee shop around USF campus, and Felicitous has been my favorite so far. They have a wide variety of drinks (I think the coffee may be locally brewed, but I am not a coffee drinker haha) as well as food. I ordered one of the cheapest drinks (I am a college student after all) which was the Pinkerton drink, and although it was inexpensive, it blew my expectations out of the water. It was served in a ceramic mug the barista kindly brought over to my table, and it was a delightful combination of cinnamon and apple sweetness. I also ordered the Formaggio, which I was also surprised by how good it was. As a frequent cafe-goer, it's hard to find a cafe that sells food that actually tastes good. But the Formaggio was absolutely delicious, huge on my plate, and made fresh. For the establishment itself, the barista was friendly and had excellent service. The lighting was warm and comforting, the decorations were cozy, and the people in the cafe were all other USF students. The music was alt/indie rock, and was neither too loud or too soft. The only two complaints would be that parking is a bit weird since the only parking is part of the apartment building it's attached to and you have to walk through a garage to enter, and the items were a bit on the expensive side. I see board games in the corner so you can come with your friends and play. They have some muffins and pastry's to enjoy as well. Milk alternatives include: soy, oat, skim, whole, and almond. 3 stars because of the parking. The location is at the base of an apt complex with parking no where to be found. You'll have to go down a one way road and park all the way in the back in the garage. Then walk all the way to the front. Nearly 50 yards. It ideal for someone on the go. This coffee shop is at the ground floor of a big apartment complex. There was no designed parking spot for the coffee shop. The pastry display case was empty. I asked for gelato. One guy worked there said they haven't have any gelato for a month. So I ordered a specialty drink Mississippi mud and asked for decaffeinated coffee. After he handed me the cup I felt it was very light. After I went home, I removed the whip cream and the drink was only about 60% of the cup. There was marshmallow floating on the surface. Although it tasted good. It was a big ripped off for a $5 drink. Over all this coffee shop got no parking , missing menu item, expensive, unexperienced barista, I don't think I will come back. read more

I really enjoyed my visit to Felicitous! I ordered the Honey Bear Latte and I was pleasantly surprised in how much I liked it. Parking was incredibly easy and there was plenty of it. All parking labeled as future resident is available parking for the shop. The shop is very spacious with tons of open seating. The couch is horribly uncomfortable so I moved to a cushioned chair by the window which was equally as uncomfortable, lol! I'm actually shocked I ended up liking this place! It's weirdly decorated, and I'm usually more into modern vibes, but Starbucks is too noisy+expensive, and kava places are too far, so I stopped here. It was actually REALLY cozy and peaceful! I sat and did work uninterrupted for a good four hours. It has such a studious vibe. I felt like I was at my grandma's house lol. The temperature was perfect, music volume and choice perfect, and everyone else was fairly quiet though for some reason I'm a magnet for the ONLY people who want to talk and they always sit right next to me. I don't like to work with headphones so it's a little annoying but I just tuned it out. I got the tea latte in a large and it was HUGE! I sipped on it for hours! for only 5 bucks I'll gladly get that every time. It tasted delicious as well. The barista was nice. The vibes were good. On Sunday, 9/19/21, my husband and I stopped in for a couple of coffee drinks and there was already a line formed. It appeared that there was one girl working and she was also making food items. We waited for about 10 min in line. We ordered a cappuccino and small latte at 2:22pm according to my text receipt. We did not get our order until 3:14pm. Management: This is amazingly ridiculous to leave 1 person by themselves with a fully occupied coffee house. The other Felicitous always has at least 2-3 people working. In case your employee slave has not complained to you about the short staff, then I will. I def. am not returning here again! read more

Favorite spot in the area! An eclectic, whimsical vibe and relatively spacious interior where you'll be served good coffee, satisfying small plates, and delicious pastries. Love the big windows. Lots of USF students study here, and it's become a cultural hub with local art/crafts on display, and open mic nights on weekends. Park in the garage around back, and either walk through the apartment courtyard/pool area or walk around the outside. Service is always friendly. Can be slow when the shop is crowded, but it's an acceptable part of the experience when going to a smaller place. I do like Starbucks and similar coffee shops, but I come here to escape that corporate, coldly-efficient vibe. read more

I actually might like this location more than the original! Their menu is smaller and more specialized with the inclusion of gelato and affogato, this place is right after my heart. Their latte is yummy and high grade. The Baristas here are also well trained and friendly. What might be missed is the small house charm of the original location, but I'll gladly trade that for the cleanliness of this new facility. They make tasteful decisions to make this space a bit more modern. This place has a very different vibe of its own-- it's very cute. Edit: They now offer plenty of parking during opened hours "future residents/felicitous" signage at the side of the building and in garage first floor of Uncommon, the attached apartment complex. I've been coming to this place for about 2 years now, and I have become increasingly disillusioned with the service and how the people behind the counter interact with customers. Whether it is busy or completely empty, when myself or my friends walk in we are pretty much immediately told to scan the QR code to place our orders electronically and pay that way (often without any formal/friendly greeting). While I understand that this method is likely easier and less work for the people who operate the counter and register, as someone who has had card secure issues and doesn't like to use online ordering platforms or payment methods like Apple Pay, and doesn't put their card information into websites like that-- this pressured approach of a completely online ordering and payment experience isn't something I've enjoyed. Every time this has happened I have politely told whoever is working I would like to order verbally and pay through the regular payment terminal at the register, and every-time I've been met with some reaction of annoyance or a not so subtle implication that me asking to order traditionally is a hassle and not something they want us to do. Seeing as it is the job of the person behind the counter to take orders, I find it pretty irritating to be met with attitude just for asking to have my order taken normally, especially when the place is empty and there is no line of customers behind me also trying to put orders in. I hope this review is taken into consideration, I really do like the teas offered at this place but if I have another experience similar to the one described above I don't see myself coming back to this location again-- it makes me feel as if me going there and ordering is a burden on the employees and no customer should be made to feel that way. read more

Not only do they have great coffee and food (I had a caramel frappuccino and cheesy toast) but they also have a cute section of shopping that includes: shirts, succulents, coffee mugs, and punny cards. Everyone was on their laptops, reading, or just hanging out. If you want a fun vibe (with some hipster flair), this is the place to go! It's in a refurbished home, made to be a coffee shop, so you know it's going to be a rad place. It's very eclectic with multi-colored walls, stickers plastered everywhere, art hanging from the ceilings, drawings and sketches on the walls, tables of all sizes and colors, and no chair that is the same. I'm so happy there are cute little coffee shops like this near USF. My caramel latte was delicious, although a little pricey (between $4 and $5 for a small). The atmosphere was really funky and unique -- it reminded me of the independent little coffee shops where I grew up in New Hampshire. A great place for studying or hanging out. I love anything + everything that Felicitous does, including this new(er) location on the ground floor of Uncommon apartments. They have the same awesome specialty drinks but their menu is even expanded to include beer and wine here. They also have gelato, plus the normal cheesecake and baked goods that the other location has. The mural inside is beautiful and hand done by a Felicitous employee. They sell local art and have a great selection of merchandise. The music is always perfect and the decor is cute and unique. Not sure what else there is to ask for! read more

I'm a strong fan of Felicitous. The other day was my first time at this location, I usually go to the one on Fowler but this one is walking distance from my apartment so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The aesthetic is so quaint and cute. The menu is almost the same as the original location. I got a cup of lady lavender tea and my friend got coffee and a pastry. Everything tasted amazing and the staff was very helpful with choosing what to get and then throughout the entire time we were there. The atmosphere is perfect for getting work done or just chilling. It is pretty cozy for the most part. However, they definitely need more workers on each shift. It takes quite a long time to get your coffee and one coffee is $7. My latte also tasted like straight milk. I would recommend to start using for here glasses since many come here for long periods of time to study and the excessive plastic is unnecessary. read more
