We called every shop in the area and no one had the time to even look at our car until we called Chad, the owner of Patriot Repairs. Chad said he would take a look at our car. Chad figured out that our battery was improperly installed and had to order a new battery for our car. He got us back on the road when no one even wanted to take a look at our car. Chad is a former Marine and he displayed every trait you would expect of our service members. I would recommend Chad and his shop to anyone in Michigan or visiting the area. Chad could have very easily taken advantage of our predicament. We had limited time and no idea what was wrong with our car. And our battery was less than a year old! We did not expect the battery to be the issue but the improper installation melted one of the terminals causing our car to fail on us. Thank you Chad and I wish you the best of luck in the future. I just wish you had your shop back home. You would get to maintain all my cars, motorcycle and RV.

Jr. picked from my…read moreDad's shop locally in Cheboygan, and I provided a $2,000 deposit in the form of a cashier's check. He said my truck will be done in a couple weeks. That was not the case. However, Jr. consistently provided excuses and runarounds, delaying completion. Despite numerous attempts to contact him, I had to reach out to the building owner to get his attention. On June 24th, 2024, Jr. informed me that the truck was ready, but upon pickup, he requested an additional $1,000. Which I reluctantly paid, but soon discovered the transmission was malfunctioning and didn't have 5th or 6th gear nor over drive. After dropping off the rental car the same day I picked my truck up, I had returned the truck agian to Jr. on June 25th for re-repair as the trans was over heating. He said he'll get it fixed and need programming. Ontop of that, the trans was leaking trans fluid. Following continued delays and unreturned calls, I finally received the truck back on September 11th, only to experience another breakdown, trans over heated past 290 degrees and I lost all gears and reverse, i had my children with me, they were terrified. Jr. promised to rectify the issues but failed to deliver. I've lost significant time and finances due to Jr.'s incompetence, spending over $3,900 on rental vehicles. I've requested my truck to be towed to Main Street Tire and Brake for proper repairs with my $3,000 in cash as deposit to Main Street and Junior has yet to follow through. Due to Superior Transmission's failure to deliver, I'm pursuing legal action against Junior and Superior Transmission. Please stay away from this business.

I made it to the dealership and the young guy in the service pay was polite and directed me to speak to a lady in the office. I knew that it wasn't likely they would have time to work on it but I was hoping they could took a quick look and let me know if I could keep driving or if it needed repair. The lady informed me "all my guys are at lunch and I can't help you today." I tried to ask that I wanted to just know if it was safe to drive it and got a snide response. I left and called the Jeep dealership in Ypsilantii and the guy I talked to couldn't believe they wouldn't take 5 minutes to get a diagnostic code to determine if it was okay to drive or not. I was afraid of causing damage to my vehicle if I kept going but it was just a sensor issue and could have been resolved in minutes.

Ryan (service mgr) and owner Dave Fernelius were extremely helpful in bird dogging the issue. I had taken to other dealers with no success. Fernelius Ford did thoughtful diagnostic work and were able to get Ford Tech Engineering Support that did find solution - replaced cable to center screen and center screen possibly pointing to poor connections between the two parts. Great job it has worked perfectly even when temps fell into 20s.

Not impressed. I…read morethought I would help out by dealing with the "local guy"...lots more options in larger areas like Gaylord, Petoskey, and Traverse City, but, silly me, here I went. GM employee deal, so the price is the same everywhere....just thought I was helping out the local economy. They totally bobbled the ordering process; only communication during the waiting for build and delivery was from me to them. Delivering sales person had no idea on truck and features; had to keep calling in service. Vehicle prep was 'ok', but not great. 13 months later...not a call, not a contact...nothing. I bought the 2nd most expensive vehicle in the store, paid cash (maybe that was part of the problem...no financing kick-back?), but not so much as a follow up. Nothing. Brought ANOTHER vehicle for service....found a lug nut on my driveway 2 days later after their tire rotation. Others were loose and about to fall off. Emails to Tom, the owner....not so much as a grunt in response. Thank goodness for Mandy in write up. It's absolutely, positively clear that I care more about dealing with "the local guy" then they do about taking care of a customer. Dexter the store dog cares INFINITELY more about the customers here than the management does.
