We recently interacted with Fernelius Ford while contemplating purchasing a new vehicle and I would NOT recommend them! The salesman gave us incorrect information on the vehicle more than once, tried to upsell us on a package we explicitly stated we did not want, then when we weren't 'biting' on the alleged 'deal' he was offering up, got insulting towards us!! Have a 2024 Maverick with less than 10,000 miles, won't start and when called Fernelius ford they wouldn't even look at it for over 2 weeks. This is still under warranty and having no transport for at least 17 days is ridiculous. Why would any warranty work take that long. Had to have my truck taken 30 plus miles and will stay with them as they will work on it today! read more

Had issue with center screen in 2024 Ford F250 Lariat not operating when first started if temps were in mid 40s or colder. Ryan (service mgr) and owner Dave Fernelius were extremely helpful in bird dogging the issue. I had taken to other dealers with no success. Fernelius Ford did thoughtful diagnostic work and were able to get Ford Tech Engineering Support that did find solution - replaced cable to center screen and center screen possibly pointing to poor connections between the two parts. Great job it has worked perfectly even when temps fell into 20s. read more

We were in an accident while driving to our property up north. All of the air bags went off and there was significant damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle. Unfortunately we were four hours from home and did not have many options to choose from for the repairs. I chose Fernelius over a local body shop because I assumed they would do a great job since they carry the Ford name. I was wrong. Our accident happened on June 27. The car was confirmed to be in Fernelius Ford's possession on June 29. The first call I received with an update said that it would take a few weeks. This was fine. It's what I expected. A few weeks passed and I had not received any updates. I called and again was told that it would be a few weeks. A few weeks passed, I called again and was told that everything was out of the paint booth and they found one more thing they needed to fix so it would be another couple of weeks. This went on for two months. My main gripe is that I wasn't getting updates unless I called. I've had body work done on a car years ago and they updated me once a week. I understand that parts take a while to come in, etc. but two full months is ridiculous. I work in the service industry and if we tell a client something will be done by a certain day we either have it done or we call them the second we know we're going to miss the deadline. There is nothing worse than not being updated. When we arrived to pick up the car everything appeared to be great. The employees of the collision shop were very friendly. No issue there. The man at the service desk was rude and appeared to be annoyed by our presence. We had originally gone here because we thought it was where we needed to be. There were a few scratches on the driver side that were absolutely not there prior to the accident but I can look past that. I drove away and about 30 minutes into my drive I decided to pull down my visor. It immediately fell off. I decided to try the passenger visor. It also fell off. We had to go back. They fixed it but they acted like it was no big deal. This incident alone made me lose confidence in the work they did. As I was further along on my drive home I began to notice other things. One being that the passenger seat belt was missing it's cover (minor-- I can order a new one but I shouldn't have to) and another being that the hood of my car was not aligned properly so it was catching wind and shaking on the freeway. Overall, I would not recommend Fernelius for collision work. If you're in an accident in this area I would recommend shelling out the cost of having your car towed closer to home to be repaired. read more

I had some recall done on my truck, an issue that was very well known by Ford. First off, I have never been to a place for a service of any kind where I did not feel appreciated. This dealership makes you feel unappreciated, uncomfortable, and completely out of your control to do anything about your issue. Secondly, which is not entirely their fault, I have never had any recall work done that was not completely free. I just purchased my vehicle a few months prior and of course got the extended warranty for peace of mind. This recall work ultimately cost me over $500 and both my original factory warranty and my aftermarket extended warranty did not and would not cover this work that had to be done. The service department did sympathize with me and explained how it was completely the fault of corporate Ford and how the recall was written. All of the explanations were in my opinion total bullshit and I feel the dealership could have definitely been more helpful since they reassured me that they completely understood. In the end, I rarely got an update on my truck unless I called the dealership, which is my biggest issue of terrible customer service. The recall work took a lot longer than I expected and what I was told. I heard terrible things about this dealership from many other people and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will not go back to this dealership for any reason and will continue to tell others. Just the way I was treated during this experience, makes me not want to buy another Ford vehicle again ever, which I bad because I am a huge fan of Ford trucks and I do love my truck. I am still waiting for this dealership to make this right...but I doubt it will happen. read more
