I've had a bit of a love hate relationship with Fei Long Supermarket, but it's still a solid one stop shop with a wide variety of ingredients that make it easy to find almost everything for your recipes. I appreciate that they don't require a minimum to use your credit card, and their weekly rotating deals can be a nice surprise. They have a fairly large parking lot, though it gets pretty chaotic on the weekends, and inside it can get crowded, especially around the meat department. I don't love that it sometimes smells like a wet market. I feel like they could control that better to improve the overall experience but at least they do have a public bathroom although not the cleanest. They also have shopping carts but no baskets, and using a cart means wheeling it up the ramp, so I usually just run up the stairs and grab whatever my hands can carry, which honestly keeps me from overbuying, haha. read more

Always fresh meat and seafood! A bit crowded all the time and a few less preseasoned choices. They used to have fresh marinated spare rib tips I used to grab a few pounds and cook them at home. Always fresh cheap vegetables and fruits with a wide variety! The parking lot is free the first hour, convenient to the area. Need a guy in the meat department that can speak english to translate to the counter guys any specific cut of pork or meat orders would be nice. Hope they re-open the front side with restaurants and food stalls again but great place to shop one stop. read more

I am a senior living in nyc for almost 40 years. On 10/17/25, I bought $22.24 groceries with food stamps. But just realized I forgot to pick up a item when walking out the store. I turned right back and picked up a piece of pork neck bone for $1.88. cashier #108 refuse to sell it to me saying that I have to buy more than $3 in order to use food stamp. Can they set the policy for the minimum amount to spend in a transaction charging food stamp? I have never experienced such with any American supermarket in nyc. It's mooncake season and look at this cute Minion Mooncake!!! It is soooo cute! Came here yesterday to do some light grocery shopping and took a glance at the mooncake aisle just to see. This is the second place that had this Minion theme mooncake and we saw 1 box opened. So naturally, we had to take a peek at how it looks inside. Only have a few pieces inside the tin for $56!!! Fresh vegetables/seafood here. The butcher area was empty of customer but there was still a wait as all the butchers were cleaning/slicing/ cutting meats. It took a while but I was finally able to order what I wanted. There was boneless short ribs at $8.99 a lb and I got it to make some Japanese beef stew tonight. read more

Fei Long Supermarket is well known in the 8 Avenue area. There's a large parking lot. They did have a food court but it's under renovation now. Pros: -Relatively big supermarket. -Lots of different Chinese and Asian snack. Cons: -It's crazy packed on the weekends which is normal for supermarkets that have a parking lot. -It seems like a lot of staffs hate their job here, you have staffs arguing with each other and staffs ranting out loud as they are restocking their fruits. -The meat and seafood is either a hit or a miss (sometimes not fresh). You can use credit card if you spend over $10, they just confirm the ID matches the credit card. read more

Fei Long is a great large supermarket with almost everything you can find in smaller Asian markets. The only thing is that while the fresh produce is usually at a more affordable price, the non-fresh produce and snacks are way more expensive than if you were to purchase them at a small Asian grocery mart. I mostly visit this Asian market because it's usually hard to find parking on 8th Avenue, so it is more convenient to go to Fei Long Supermarket which has a huge parking lot for its customers. They also have a food court attached to its supermarket, so you can always grab a bite when you visit. read more

So I'm new to the South Slope area and was looking for a Asian Market. I only shop at Costco and Asian Markets when living in NYC. I was so happy to find this place. They have everything that I needed and more. Items I would normally get at Whole Foods they had here, sorry no more Whole Foods (maybe). I got beef bones from here to make bone broth for my security (Akita, Kiyoshi) to keep her strong and healthy. Plus they have a big seafood area which is a plus for fresh salmon. I am reviewing as a non Chinese speaking shopper and especially as a lonely Korean in this neighborhood desperately looking to replenish my kimchi supply. First time shopping here and I'd call this place a Chinese grocery empire with sone alliance with its neighboring regions. Like other reviewers noted, it has everything Chinese especially a wide array of fresh seafood and vegetables. I came here mainly because I read from the old reviews that they have kimchi, and blessed the reviewer indeed kimchi is found here. There are also other Asian essentials such as condiments, ramen and snacks. Along with some kimchi options, as per Korean items, I could find some ramen, snacks, frozen foods. They seem to have some Japanese and Thai items to a limited degree. Since the business thrive with Chinese shoppers, there is very little consideration for non Chinese. The entrance signs are all in Chinese. If you come from 8th avenue, find the way to the car park where the entrance is. The cashier didn't speak English and didn't bother to help me organize food in the bag. But despite all the non existent good customer service per se, I am relieved to know this place exist as an emergency stop when my Korean fuel runs low. read more

Not sure why this place has such poor reviews but they honestly have some of the best variety and value I've seen in any Chinatown when it comes to Chinese food. It is a food court hidden inside a grocery/shopping center and despite its modest size, contains a wide range of various options. The first time we came we tried the first stall, with the soup dumplings. Each other comes with 6 and the prices vary depending on the kind - we ordered the pork with crab roe version which was $7.50 but this was the most expensive XLB on the menu. They also have veggie options as well. The skin was slightly thicker than I prefer but the flavor was on point and for the price it's pretty hard to beat. The same stall also sells other items including boiled dumplings. There was another stall which specialized in BBQ and roasted meats and it looked delicious so we'll be coming back soon to try the other items as well! read more

Such a bad experience with Fei Long. They charged me twice and I have only entered my card passcode for one time. This is usual my go to place when I need to shop for Asian groceries. It gets crowded over the weekend but I guess that's the nature of the beast when every dick, jane and harry is off too. I like this market specifically because everything I get are usually fresh and reasonably priced. They offer a wide selection of produce, seafood and meat. They also offer free samples which is kinda cool considering some of the brand are still unfamiliar to me. Lastly, they have a parking lot for their customers. This is a huge plus considering how hard it is to find parking these days. As for the check out line, it can be a bit of a wait. Their lines are disorganized so make sure you know who you're standing in front of because sometimes people here do try to skip. read more

My favorites - matcha, strawberry, raspberry and chocolate versions of kitkat were there. Also meiji chocolates and cookies. I used to go to the Sunrise Mart to get these. This place is an adventure. 99.9% of the shoppers are Asian so you know it's beyond authentic. I was naive to so many of the products. So many things to try. If you want Anglo products like peanut butter, they have them but don't buy them here. They are over priced here because it's not the major inventory. Load up on cheap Korean ramen and sauces and unique huge fresh veggies and fruit. There are loads of live animals here (frogs, turtles, fish, crabs, etc). PETA would have a field day. I am so happy they have increased their parking area by 200%. They expanded into the auto shop's parking area and now their is no traffic problem going down the street and waiting for a parking spot on the weekends. But the crowds on weekend are still there; the ridiculous lack of space in front of the cashier is still a problem; the cashier girl that really don't care about you eggs and tomatoes are still there; and the erroneous pricing by the cashiers still exist. The seafood workers still like to freak people out by throwing the customer's bagged items on top off raw fish; they are still there. (Just get a large bag from the veggie area and re-bag it!) On the good side- the prices and freshness of their veggies are better then the other supersize Chinese supermarkets in the area. And did I mention better parking? read more

In search for a Chinese supermarket on Brooklyn's 8th Avenue, not alone but with a family member, Fei Long Supermarket gets the job done for grocery shopping. This Chinese supermarket sits directly within distance of the N train. The wall directory map is written in both English and Chinese but is extremely vague marked "food court" and "retail space." A private parking lot is available. The direct entrance is 63rd Street/9th Avenue NOT on 8th Avenue as misguided. A large Chinese supermarket with two adjoining large retail space sits in the lower level. The selection for package and loose tea is vast for brand names and genre of tea for various ailment purposes. The vegetables are fresh and plenty in genre. The fruit selection is also plenty, albeit the near extreme bankrupt prices. The checkout lines are extremely chaotic where it becomes a Y shape--the mouth is the formation of two chaotic lines leading to one final line to the register where pushing and shoving becomes a packed rush hour NYC subway. Patrons do not understand the concept of queuing where we were in a quell in both Cantonese and Mandarin to lecture a vile patron who cut in front of our rightful place!! N.B. Check your sales receipt for any gross errors tallied as I came here on a national holiday of New Year's 2012 where patrons stand, without order, to stare blankly at the registers as their intention and chaotic format of queuing. Oh my goodness, the customer service here is absolutely atrocious. My mom and I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and this supermarket was packed, as usual. This supermarket has a wide selection of Asian goods, from fishballs of all shapes and sizes to all flavors of ramen galore. While their selection is impressive, my experience here was just downright horrific. My mom decided to purchase two packs of Korean pears that were originally $5.99 and lucky for us, one of the workers wrote a "$4" on the box and told us that those pears are now on sale. Lucky us, right? WRONG!!! We got to the register and waited a good 10 minutes at the line (it was a long line) until it was our turn to pay. Upon scanning our two boxes, the computer showed that the pears were $5.99 per box. My mom and I stated that the boxes were on sale for $4, as marked on the box in black marker. The cashier adamantly stated with an incredibly rude tone, "IT SAYS $5.99 ON COMPUTER SO ITS $5.99". My mom replied calmly that the worker packing the vegetables informed us that they would be on sale for $4. The cashier replied "You think I'm free enough to go ask the other workers?! It says $5.99 ON THE COMPUTER SO ITS GOING TO BE $5.99." So my mom and the cashier basically had a stand-off, while the customers on the line complained angrily. After a while, a cashier from another line yelled "IF IT SAYS $4, JUST CHARGE HER $4", to which the original cashier replied "Oh, okay." No further remarks, no apology. My mom and I were appalled. Quite large and has quite a good inventory - seafood, meats, produce, dried goods like most supermarkets plus a small Chinese Pharmacy (with dried roots, Chinese herbal medicine, etc). We went on a Sunday evening and the produce wasn't very fresh but then happened to stop by again next morning and the produce was great... I recommend going in the morning! Overall a great supermarket. One hour free parking in the back of the supermarket with validation if you purchase $30+. I was introduced to Fei long Market by my Chinese friend long time ago. I can't remember much about the place but the only one thing I do remember was Dim-Sum, especially Zaio-Long-Pao (the crab meat with hot soup inside.) Time flew like a bullet, couple years was gone till I forgot about this place. but when my friend asked me where is the best Dim-Sum in NYC. this nostalgia got back into my brain. So, we are going to try it if it's still good as it was or not. From Queens, by drive took us about 30 mins. Hmmm.... Honestly, without my friend drive, I surely wouldn't come this far to have it. Fei Long Market offered free parking for the first hour. That's good one.
