Fed Ex has a very lazy and incompetent delivery driver. They have no clue about their deliveries and they can't keep their delivery schedule up to date. Expecting a delivery today between 8-12:30 then i was sent message delivery changed 2:30-4:30. Called Fed Ex literally on the phone with them get a message delivery attempted no one home. Mind you I left a note on the door that i was in the back of the house. Driver took a picture and left no notice no attempt to knock on the door since my dog would have barked nothing just a lie and a picture of my door from the street including my note to the driver. Now delivery will be postponed until Monday while I am at work. What an absolute joke thanks for making me waste a day off and lose a day of pay. read more

Bit of a read but I have had the worst experience with a company in my entire life. * On November 23 2025, my partner lost her phone 14 ProMax at an NFL game in LA. * The next day we left for Palm Springs, continuing our vacation. * That night the person who found the phone reached out. We agreed I would send a prepaid overnight Fedex label to them. * On November 25th the person went to a local Fedex location and dropped the package off. Tracking ID: 886370149245 * Nov 26th the package arrived in Palm Springs and we stopped getting updates. * We, nor the person who shipped the package could get any updates via Fedex. * As we were leaving on the 1st of December, we did not think the package could make it. * On Nov 28th we were given a case number: 489461 and a case agent. Demetria, * We and the person who dropped the package called every single day for 3 weeks, leaving voicemail after voicemail for the case manager. * Almost a month later, she finally returned our calls. Asked for more information, I clarified the story and what happened. She told us that she would escalate this and send the package back to the sender, which is fine, we just want the phone back and not in FedEx's possession. We can figure out next steps later. * In Mid-January 2026, I received a call from FedEx asking us about the case, I explained that we were still waiting for a call back from our case manager. They seemed shocked and promised that they would call the team handling our package and call me back. * They called me back a few minutes later and said all we had to do was get the person who dropped the package off to call the case manager and tell her to return to sender. * They called the case manager and was informed that the packaged was disposed of. No warning, not communication, that's it the package is gone. * Furious I began calling Fedex for the next few weeks to get clarification. Nobody could tell me anything. * On Feb 6th 2026 I finally got to the "department escalation team" * They informed me that the package was not destroyed, as the package needs to be scanned before it's disposed of. * They told me that they would personally look into this and get my package retuned to sender. Case number: C-224295102 Ref-50966 * On Feb 13th 2026, I received an email stating "We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations regarding your recent shipment. We understand how important this package is to you, and we regret any inconvenience this may have caused. Despite exhausting our research efforts, we've deemed package recovery unlikely and has been disposed of." That's it, they never communicated with us, they disposed of my partners Iphone 14 ProMax that had countless memories on it (some backed up, some now). And there is nothing we can do. I am sorry, but I have nothing but bad experience with Fedex delivery. Maybe it is because where we live (on dirt road in Joshua Tree) but it seems like Fedex drivers are trying to avoid delivering out here. We have no problems with UPS though. The drivers regularly do not attempt delivery and simply leave a note saying, "not delivered, will reattempt, must be present." This time they wrote why they "failed" the delivery. "Honked horn" was how they "attempted" to deliver my package. This is the second time for this same package. These drivers should be arrested for mail theft and fraud. Picture attached. I'd give a NEGATIVE 5 STAR review for this FedEx location if I could. They are absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! The employees/drivers there pick and choose when and where they want to deliver. I've lived at the same address for 7 years and I've been battling this FedEx location for the whole 7 yrs to get my packages delivered when they say and not a day(s) later. I even have their direct phone number (760) 251-2200. Calling that number works maybe for 1 or 2 deliveries than right back to wait and see what kinda lie they can come up with why my packages are not delivered. We hand delivered a package to 1111 Bird Center Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92262 on evening of May 7th. According to the tracking the package was logged and sent on May 9th it arrived on May 12th at the San Bernardino Facility and was never seen again. The package contained marriage licenses and other legal paperwork. It took hours to reach an associate when the package was not delivered. Today is 5/20/2020 I received a call from the associate that initiated my investigation, to tell me the documents are lost. When I expressed concern to the associate that the lives of 12 couples had been impacted. She informed me that she did not feel "she" had not damaged peoples lives she was only doing her job. So some how the lost package containing 12 marriage licenses, became about her. At this time FEDEX cannot tell me what happened to our legal package. I made 3 phone calls yesterday May 19, 2020 and waited on hold for 49 minutes each time. When an associated picked and we began to speak the call was dropped on the FEDEX side ( I was call from a land line). During the 3rd call I was transferred 6 times. The associate helping me was attempting reach the woman that spoke to me this morning and the woman handling my investigation could not be reached. And once again the call dropped. After more than 5 hours on the phone. You know? you can only blame COVID so much. And then there comes a time to actually accept responsibility. Where is my package? The only way that a package can disappear is if it was repackaged. So how many FEDEX packages left San Bernardino for Riverside County Assessor's Recorders office in Moreno Valley? My employer paid for overnight delivery to me. On the day it was supposed to arrive, they marked it undeliverable because they couldn't access my gate. My delivery instructions clearly state the gate code but the incompetent driver didn't bother looking at the instructions. Spoke to customer service and asked them why do we bother with instructions if no one reads them. Customer service said they will have it delivered next day. Nothing. Spoke to them again, will send it again tomorrow. Nothing. 4 days before I got my package, and that's only because I went to their location and picked it up. You'll get an automated list of choices--none of them match your needs... you'll spend the time to go by the office... only to have them tell your package that was not delivered on time will arrive sometime before 4pm... of course, this is when the FedEx shop closes, so you'll have no recourse until the next day... and you get to do all the above yet again. I'm a merchant with an account with Fedex here in Palm Springs. There have been several times where I have created a label through their website such as two-day or overnight shipping and they do not fulfill the correct day shipping. I've had many clients who are looking forward to a specific item before a particular event date and they did not receive the item within the scheduled delivery time. I called the FedEx location only to be told that after they picked up our packages they sat in delivery for 2 days. It is crucial for packages to get delivered on set dates, scheduled and PAID FOR. read more

Let me start out by saying that I've been using FedEx ever since they started - I'm even from Memphis, WHERE they started. For many years they were my preferred shipped by a wide margin. Unfortunately they have fallen into the trap of being so successful that they feel they no longer have to behave reasonably to do business. I disagree. First, one of my employees was treated badly by a counter attendant. Then, a week later, the same employee was unable to pick up a package for my company. I drove over and was informed by the depot manager that FedEx corporate has overhauled the ID requirements for pickups by employees. Now they have to have official company ID tags, or a business card with their name, along with a government photo ID like a drivers license, and the tracking number. For 13 years we've sent employees to pick up packages at this location without any difficulties. Now our small business - very small business - is obligated to spend money on photo ID's and put up with their new, dismissive, rude employees in order to pick up packages. It's a shame, but they are shameless. The depot manager was remote and unresponsive, the company didn't bother to publish the new requirements, and the good, loyal employees at FedEx have to push these new requirements down the throats of their long-time customers. I'm disgusted by their attitude and the company's approach. FedEx is not "too big to fail", and if they don't mend their ways, I expect they will. read more

FedEx has really gone downhill. I was expecting a package today and waited all day for it. No one knocked on my door to let me know that they were there to deliver the package but instead left a notice for me. I've been on hold with FedEx today twice for over half an hour each time. I was notified by text my package had been delivered, but it wasn't at my door. I live in a community with gates around the entrance to the interior. I walked around until I came to a gate with a box on the ground, which had been dropped over, just inside the gate. It contains a desk chair. On the outside, the box clearly reads, in big letters, DO NOT DROP. The box is damaged and a wheel is protruding from a hole. The local FedEx hub has been given two keys to our complex. If the driver doesn't have a key, procedure is to take the package back to the hub and send me a notice. If I open the box and the chair is damaged, then I'll slog through the process of filing a claim. FedEx has completely damaged its brand. These are expensive items, and I couldn't get a single rep at the 1111 Bird Center Dr to help at all. They had me call their 800 number since being in their office personally was doing no good. Well that seems to be business as usual for the FedEx delivery depot in Palm Springs California. It's really sad when a worldwide delivery company is so irresponsible and unwilling to confront their drivers about doing their jobs correctly. After moving here a year ago this is the second time that an expensive item has been delivered left at the curbside on the street side of our property and then the item is stolen by someone driving by. The drivers are so irresponsible they can't do the simplest thing which is have a little common sense and try ringing the doorbell to at least see if someone's home and if not keeping the package in the truck, leaving a tag and trying to re-deliver it later. Do you guys even care or do you even realize your trucks are being followed by people on a daily basis and when your drivers are responsible in placing packages in a safe secure location for their customers the people following your vehicles are just stealing the packages off the street. I had a package for my daughters graduation that needed a signature but fedex only delivers in my location between 1:50-2:30 pm and I missed three attempt because of picking up my 2 elementary school children and I am gone for 30 min... not a problem at all, I understand routes, so I called them to reschedule and was told not only will they not reschedule, I have to drive 33 miles to pick up my product even though there is a fedex 12 miles away.
