This review is mainly for an employee name Ricardo. He went above and beyond to help me locate my package that was at another FEDEX location. He even called the other store to make sure they had my package and called me back to let me know that they did indeed have it. I was worried that I was going to have to go on wild goose chase or get the run around trying to find my package. If the managers or owners of this FEDEX location see this review please give my man Ricardo a raise. read more

Why bother having a phone number if no one is ever going to answer you. Horrible service.

Lazy drivers who do not deliver to residences but leave packages in neighbor's bushes. If you don't want to be a delivery driver then get a different job, but we as customers are PAYING for delivery to our front door (or wherever we specify). FedEx customer service is a joke and most of the drivers I've encountered don't do their job properly. To be fair, there are some good drivers who are competent. The 1 star reviews here should get the otay station manager fired. Oh wait, FedEx doesn't control Ground ... says every have FedEx CS. read more

Zero stars! I will never ship with fedex ever again. I've been waiting 5 days for a package with over 10 phone calls with assurance that my package will be delivered day after day only to find out they lost my package with no delivery date insight. read more

I called the customer service line and couldn't get ahold of a person for over 3 separate calls. The delivery driver didn't deliver my package and my package has been delayed twice I'm very unhappy with the service and I will not be using fedex again. read more

Shipments from this location are routinely left at the street, not at my door. Long driveway makes retrieving 50lb boxes extremely difficult. Multiple calls and cases filed. I keep being told a "site or route manager will call me back to address my concerns". No calls are ever received. Escalation department states that is the highest level I can complain to but their is no resolution. I am told to complain to the shipper. Shipper isn't the one leaving very heavy boxes at the street and not at my door. Case number gets changed with every call and is only tracked by the tracking number. Repeatedly told someone will call me back to address the issue and my concerns. Zero response. It is only shipments from this location as my other shipments with FedEx, UPS or Amazon even USPS all manage to be deliver d to my door. Only thing worse than the delivery is the utter and complete failure from customer service!!!! read more

AWFUL! I ordered some alcohol and my package arrived here and sat for a week with no contact. I called the 1-800 number on the day it was supposed to be delivered, and they said I would get a call the next business day. Nothing. Called the 1-800 number again the next business day after seeing no movement, and they had it in their notes that I was called and a voicemail left - a lie. I called the 1-800 number a third time and again, "your package is undeliverable." Uh, I live in Ohio...and the package is still in San Diego... I requested the address of the station and called them directly. I provided the tracking number and was told that the package was "an inappropriate shipment" and I had to follow-up with the vendor. read more

Absolutely the worst service ever. The customer service is over seas, the comprehension is horrible and they are no help. I had a random person text me to send them my address. I could not confirm who the person was. I refused to text a stranger my address so I can't get my package. The customer service rep refused me a supervisor or to escalate the issue. This was extremely scary and unprofessional and very hard to resolve. read more

Absolute worst experience with FedEx of Otay Mesa. If you can avoid business with them, you will be much better off. I had a delivery scheduled to arrive on Monday which was a work related item and instead of delivery my item, they delivered someone else's item. When I called to advise them, they said they would send the driver the next day with my package. My package required a signature so I had to be home all day Tuesday and the driver never arrived. I checked the status of my package online and it stated "attempted delivery" which was false. I called again and they stated they would send my package again the following day which would now be Wednesday. I stayed home all day Wednesday and even left my garage door open so they knew I was home and did not receive my package. It once again said "attempted delivery". I once again called and requested to pick up my package and they said that would not be possible. Long story short, after being reassured it would arrive on Thursday, it did not.. it also did not arrive on Friday and at this point I had enough. This package contained a laptop for work and this company was falsifying attempted deliveries. They had no urgency in addressing my issue and not until I got very direct with them Friday morning, were they willing to allow me to go pick up my package at their facility. That's right I had to go pick it up. I shared my experience with a neighbor who stated they were aware of the location's employee stealing packages. Be careful! This location is filled with fraud! read more

Ordered an item 1 week before Valentines day (live plants). Paid for delivery on Friday, February 12. Item left Mississippi on schedule, arrived in Arizona the next day (Wednesday). Was notified on Friday that delivery may be delayed because of bad weather in the South East area (last I checked Arizona is quite a bit West of there). Called Fedex Friday immediately and was told guaranteed delivery of items on Saturday. I confirmed this 4 times verbally with the representative as these were live plants for Valentines day, each time I was told "Yes, we will be delivering Saturday before end of day." Items arrived in San Diego facility Friday night (20 miles from destination) and Fedex rescheduled delivery for "Next Business Day" (Being Monday February 15, after Valentines day). This is not the first time Fedex has executed this bait and switch. I will now be working diligently to avoid Fedex delivery in every possible method and ensure all my business dealings for my microbrewery utilize other shipment methods at all times. read more

You know, I'm beginning to appreciate FedEx more and more. Maybe even more so than USPS. I was expecting an international package to arrive but it got delayed because the person who re-labeled my package forgot to include my apartment number (even though it was clearly on the original label). I was pissed. I called the FedEx number and the nice lady on the phone said I could pick up my package at the shipping center before 9pm that day. Woohoo! Unfortunately, I didn't realize how far south and east this place was! With rush hour traffic, it took me an hour to get there. Like other reviewers said, you have to buzz in at the gate to get in. The guy who buzzed me in was nice and took my tracking number to look for my package. While I waited, another employee was nice enough to let me use the bathroom (I was really desperate to go since I drove there straight from work); major kudos to that guy. The other employee finally handed me my package and I signed off on it, along with showing my ID. Yay!!! This FedEx (as well as the one in Hazard Center) has really awesome customer service and the fact that they let me pick up my package within the SAME day of attempted delivery is friggin' awesome. USPS doesn't do that (you always have to wait one business day after), and I don't think UPS does, either. I know it's a bit of a drive to get to this location, but try to enjoy the scenery. It's actually quite beautiful out there! I'm not sure if they let you create shipments here; I think they might let you drop off packages that are already postage paid. I was only able to pick up my package because I called the 800 number. Don't come in here unless you call the 800 number ahead of time. I'm sorry I hated you before, FedEx. You are my new favorite now. UPS, on the other hand, I still don't like you... read more

Fedex is the most inept shipping company known to all of human history. Not only can they not find my house, stating that "I have moved" (what?!), but when you call their customer support number, there is absolutely no way you can speak to a human in order to help them deliver the package. So now my package will be sent back to the sender (this is a regular Amazon order by the way) and I will be burdened with trying to fix all of this mess because fedex refuses to be a decent company. You know UPS delivers to my house hundreds of times a year... read more

FEDEX kept trying to deliver a package three times, even though I told them I would not be there. I requested that the package be held at the location close to me, but FEDEX refused. FEDEX then threatened to send the package back, unless I picked it up at a location 80 miles from my house. I will never use FEDEX, nor will I do business with anyone who uses FEDEX. There was a package I was expecting one day and when I received the notification that my package (A Sector Nine long board worth $200+ I ordered online) was delivered at such time, that was not true. I was at home at the time the notice of delivery stated and nobody knocked on my door. I live in an upstairs apartment so you can definitely hear when someone approaches the door step. None of my neighbors received anything as well. I'm now convinced of what people tell me when they say Fed Ex is just a bunch of broke thieves. Thank you for acting broke even though you have a job. read more

I called there number regarding an issue of a failed delivery attempt two times as I was sent a notice that I was not at home when I was waiting at home both days! It was wine and needed a signature. I called the 800 customer service number the first time and left a report. I called same customer service number a second time asking for assistance and they said they already did a report and could not do more. I asked for a local contact and they said there was none available! I went on line with the address of of the dispatch location and there was a printed phone number. The 800 customer service person was not trained and was no help for him i give a "0" star. At this local office, I was helped by Elizabeth who promised to find out what was the problem. She called back within 30 minutes and told me the manager would follow the delivery tomorrow to make sure it reached my house. He would talk to the driver and question his behavior as he also didn't leave a door tag stating he made the attempt. Somehow she could see this on her system. The address was correct on the package and if the driver didn't show up then there was a driver issue. I am grateful to Elizabeth at this location for her assistance and good attitude. When the wine arrives it truly will be enjoyed as a celebration. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you live in San Diego, or will be sending a package to San Diego, use UPS, USPS, DHL, use your uncle Ricky on a rusty bicycle with flat tires, any of these will be more reliable than FEDEX. The package tracker says that they attempted delivery three times. I do not believe this, since there is a staffed office where I live. They claim that it is hard to find my address, but USPS, UPS, DHL, Uber, Domino's, anything else that I needed delivered to my door never had a problem. How come FEDEX has a problem? Even though my cousin paid good money to send me a package to my door, I asked them to hold it at their location and I would come and pick it up the next day. I don't like that they were not doing their job, despite that they were being paid to do their job, but for me, it was more important to get my package than it was a useful to deal with their crap. Now, their location is a half hour from where I live. It is really not convenient at all. I drive down there, and guess what? My package was out for deliver! It turns out it was not delivered that day, and they did not care that I had an extra hour of driving. This is a truly useless company, and I will never be a FedEx customer again, thanks to this experience. read more

Received a notice from this FedEx that they couldn't deliver my package because they didn't have my apartment number. I live in a house and there is no apartment number. I called and left a voicemail FOUR times to tell them this and left my tracking number as requested each time. This is the location to pick up FedEx ground shipments. When you come here it is not very clear where to go to pick up a package. There are no signs directing you where to go. I went to the gate first and was directed by security guard to turn around and park over by the entrance at another date. I then proceeded to drive over to the other part of the parking lot and I parked and I went up to the gate and you have to push an intercom to talk to someone who will then ask you why you are there and I'm sure you either have a tracking number or a door tag before they will buzz you in. You then follow the footsteps to the building and then you go up to the door and someone will greet you when you come here it is not very clear where to go to pick up a package. If I could give Zero Stars I would. Same experience as previous customers. Says attempted delivery, business closed, etc. - TWICE. The package was addressed to my home, I was home all day and I have cctv as well - there was no delivery attempt. So basically they are lying. Malpractice of business for sure. Had to drive 35min one way to pick up my package, just so they can ridicule my name?! What is this??? Unbelievably bad business ethics all around. I just got a message that there was a security issue with my package. Just like the previous reviews, I live in a single family home. I think the driver was lazy to deliver. I was in front of my house the entire time! I watched him drive by. An hour later I get the security message. I can bet he messed up on his delivery and didn't want to go back! I know this is BS because I wasn't home yesterday to take the delivery. So he left a door tag. I left the door tag on my door with my signature. Where can I report this? Plus the time frame gives me up to 8PM for the delivery. I know he wants to go home. Lazy ASS driver! Where can I file a grievance? read more

Just had an absolutely horrible experience with the company. My family is stuck in Mexico because we paid for delivery of our passports on Tuesday and now FedEx is saying we will not receive our package until tomorrow after our flights leave in the morning. This will likely cost us thousands of dollars for a new flight. Apparently today is a Mexican holiday which FedEx should have known before promising a delivery date. So our package is stuck in a closed office in Mexicali. We've spent hours on the phone with half a dozen agents who all told me different stories until our very last call. This has caused a lot of stress. We are very disappointed and would not recommend using FedEx for international delivery. read more

Terrible Service. Lied about a delivery attempt. We tracked a package and it said that Fedex attempted delivery, but no one was available so they left a note. We were home all day, but we did not receive any note, but gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe we missed the delivery. The next morning, the website said it was out for delivery. That afternoon the box arrived, but we did not have to sign for anything, they quickly left the box at the door before I had the chance to get up off the couch. So, if we did not have to sign for the package and they just left it then why would they have left a note and not the box the day before? Honesty is important, they fabricated the excuse on their tracking site. read more

This FedEx has the worst customer service out of all logistic services. I have a case with their location and one of their employees, Marilyn, has the worst attitude. Super confusing location no signs for picking up packages. They call you to tell you a package is there but then can't find it when you get there gave them my tracking number, took them some time to find the package . Older lady with white hair initially behind the counter was super nice however the other younger girl at the desk behind the window was super unprofessional and unfriendly. Continually used the f word having a conversation with her coworker as if I wasn't standing there. And then acted annoyed that I was waiting in the hallway. If your trying to frustrate yourself, then try and find a phone number or, hours of operation anywhere online to begin... This will be followed by a lengthy phone call with customer service that seems to have the same issue. You will be lucky if they can even find the location themselves, let alone any critical information. This is what you will deal with after they fail delivery 3 days in a row (in my case). I have never dealt with more incompetence from office staff to delivery drivers in my life. I still have not revived my package and it is waiting to be picked up over 40 miles from my house (the delivery site). WOW! I mean WOW! Today I sat here at my house in Spring Valley all day waiting for delivery of my medical device. I knew it was coming and I wasted the whole day because they sent me several emails saying it would be delivered. Around 5 pm I received an email saying that they attempted to deliver the package and of course they did not. The customer service lady I talked to was Alex and she couldn't reach anyone, of course, to find out why it had not been delivered when there are 5 people here and three dogs that alert anytime someone comes to the door. So their driver is a liar and never attempted to deliver and never even came on our street. I hate liars. Really incompetent service from this facility. I'll bet these idiots think they are worth $15 an hour. Living wage my rear. I could do the job better than they can. I delivered freight for 18 years and except for the weather. Very frustrated! Ordered something from Costco and tracking stated the package would be delivered on 4/14/17. I received a message at 11:13 am on 4/14/17 stating my address was not complete with a unit number. I called back at 11:18 on 4/14/17 and stated my address was complete and correct on the invoice. They think my address was too long and got cut off so I gave the rep my address and she corrected the issue. I received another call at 2:56 pm on 4/14/17 saying my address was not complete. I told that rep I spoke to someone at 11:18 but it was not fixed. So I gave my address again. Both reps that I spoke with on 4/14 assured me my package would be delivered the next day on 4/15/17. On 4/15/17, I called FedEx customer service at 2:58 pm wondering where my package was. The rep said the ETA was 3:20pm but the currier has until 8pm to deliver the package. At 7:30 pm I still had not received my package. I called the Customer service again and the rep stated the package was Not labeled and did not go out today. She said she did not know why the package was not delivered 4/15/17. She proceeded to tell me the earliest I would get my package is Tuesday. I am confused and frustrated when I was told by 3 reps it would be delivered on 4/15/17. Why would there have been an ETA of 3:20pm if the package had not even been on a truck for delivery? It is sad a customer has to work so hard to receive a service. When the rep says she does not have a reason the package was delivered is very scary that my package may be lost!
