I get filled with dred every time I get a notification that something is going to be sent to me via FedEx because these people are the absolute worst. They never attempt to drop it off, instead i get texts saying that my package was undeliverable and that i wasnt home (never true and we live in an established neighborhood so we're not hard to find) and its always late - if they dotn just send it back to sender after two "failed" "attempts". I had to visit the distribution center because I received two text notifications saying my pkg wasn't able to be delivered due to "no one home" - even though people were home both times. The driver also had NOT attempted to deliver the package. I know this because I have a doorbell camera & never saw a driver at my home. The door tag I was suppose to receive also wasn't on my door, but per the picture it was on the driver's LEG! When you get to the distribution center no one is there. You have to pick up a phone to speak with someone. Fortunately the woman I spoke to was extremely helpful and the driver finally did his job and delivered my no signature required package later that day. Local customer service 100, but telephone customer service is not useful or helpful at all. They need to stop outsourcing. 3 because of that and the driver. read more

I have been waiting over a week for my package to be delivered. Since it needs a signature. I took 2 days off to wait for the delivery. Was home in my house when I get a notification that the delivery was attempted. The delivery driver never Rang the doorbell or knocked on the door. How do I know this? Because I have dogs and they bark when someone knocks or ring the door bell. They bark at me when I come home from work. This happened a total of 4 times. I contacted customer service multiple times and was told multiple Things about the package. They said they would fill out a ticket and send it to the distributor center manager and I should get a call. Never happened. I was told driver would call me when near the house for delivery, never happened. I spoke to a customer service supervisor who promised me that my package would get to me the next day. Again found package tag on the door and email stating they attempted to deliver package. Again no door knock or bell. Ring. Today I have been sitting in my car in my driveway to get my package. It has been 6 hrs and not delivery. Poor service all the way around. Poor customer service and problem still not resolve. I researched corporate office and finally found an email Brie Carere executive VP and chief customer service officer. I sent her a lovely email on the poor customer service and delivery system of FedEx. Also advised merchant who sent the package about the issues I am having with FedEx delivery system / distribution center out of Ladson SC. Very frustrating because you cannot even call the center in Ladson to make a complaintor to get problem resolve.ld. Instead you get customer service which is located outside the USA. I got a notification stating that the driver attempt to deliver my package. Someone was and always is at home and we also have cameras and we didn't see a speck on our camera around the time they stated they attempt the delivery. Not sure why these drivers would lie or steal knowing that ppl now have cameras everywhere! I'm in helll. FedEx never knows where my packages are. And they need me to wait at home all day for my signature. Why did I create an account on their website and app just to tell them that is not necessary and I could sign electronically. Now I'm 40 mins from home for a package that FedEx "Express" by Rivers Ave location said is in the truck but this location FedEx "Ground" says it's here he just "don't know where the hell it is". It's possible I could still wait for it to be delivered in 3 days cuz he doesn't know where the package is or if it is still on the truck that delivered it yesterday. I'm dead. Horrible value and terrible quality. I dislike this a lot. I should blame the phone companies because it's always when I get a new phone that this happens. I got here before two other guys. The guy behind me was picking up for his mother and didn't know her last name but he left with a package cuz his ID had same address. My packages ride around on different trucks for 7 days then I end up driving the 22 miles to pick up, if they can find. One package was lost, one was delivered to wrong address in different zip code, and after 14 years of delivering to me, they can't find my house. I suggest they hire those who can see and read. the Ladson fedex is the absolute worst delivery service I've ever experienced. Six days now of trying to deliver my packages. One package is a very expensive drug that required refrigeration and I am still waiting on it after three days. I have called over 25 times ,provided explicit directions to my house and they are still not able to get me my packages. The people who answer your call are from overseas and don't have a clue about the service area. The absolute worst delivery service I have ever experienced. My husband and I recently moved here from out-of-state, so we have had a large amount of deliveries scheduled with items for our new apartment. Our items from FedEx are ALWAYS falsely labeled as "out for delivery", yet never arrive. This will go on for days, with no guess on when the package will finally arrive. What is even more frustrating is that all of our packages go through this Ladson facility, which means this may be our new normal for the unforeseeable future. We have contacted the facility directly, but have not seen any improvements; my husband even had to drive there one day to pick up one of our packages. I formally filed a complaint with corporate but am not hopeful that any significant change will occur. To anyone else in the area, I would advise researching the carrier your online shopping sites use and do everything you can to avoid ordering from those who use FedEx. It may be weeks before you even see your package, despite many online guarantees of two day shipping. Edit: I am editing to add that our driver specifically is Jose. This just happened to us, yet again, this week, and each time that is our driver. When we pull up the live delivery map, it just shows him sitting in the same spot for hours. I was supposed to receive an overnight delivery on July 1 of 2025 a very important paperwork. They never updated the shipping, I tried tracking my package online and through their app. When I finally got through to somebody at the regional level to ask where my package was at 8 PM that night I was told he was around the corner. That was apparently a lie because he never did show up. It is now over 24 hours later and I still have not received my paperwork, which was time sensitive. I requested a phone call from the distribution center which I never received. I am now looking at a holiday weekend and being unable to complete this paperwork or stay in compliance with state rules and regulations. Worst FedEx experience ever! The package was supposed to be delivered to my daughter in Mt Pleasant on Monday. It is now Wednesday & still at the Ladson facility. The overseas customer service ppl have no clue. After several phone calls & different customer service reps, I was told to wait another 24 hours, & then I could update delivery instructions, to where my daughter can choose a location to pick it up. Terrible customer service. They have no direct phone number and the 800 number attached to the distribution center say they will help you get your package info, but do nothing. They don't call you back. I don't even know where my package is at this point. It needs a signature so I scheduled a time for the package and the FedEx guy said his signature pad wasn't working so he would have to come back later to drop it off. Never heard from him again. I wish I could give 0 stars. They had me take off work and sit in my house ALL DAY waiting for a $600 package that needed a signature, which was originally supposed to get here 4 days later just for them to lie about delivery. I tracked the updates from 7am as soon as I got the text. At 12pm it finally updated to give me an estimated time frame of 3-5pm. It even gave me a driver's name and showed exactly what time it was loaded onto the truck. At 5:30pm still no package so I check the tracker and it shows that they tried to deliver it and that I requested delivery at a later date. Which is a complete lie. I sat at my front door for hours waiting, no delivery was attempted. FedEx didn't even pull up to my neighborhood. When I called FedEx customer service to get an explanation, they told me the package was never even put on the truck! So I've been sitting here all day waiting for nothing. None of it makes sense, the tracker showed it was put on the truck at 6am. Then the driver puts a note that delivery was attempted. Then FEDEX says I requested a later delivery. I was supposed to receive my package yesterday, and then today, but it was delayed not once but TWICE. And the reason for the second delay? Their truck broke down and even though the tracking number said the package was out for delivery, the truck hadn't even left the facility! So I was waiting on this package all day, for nothing! Whoever's responsible for staffing the facility should be held accountable for the troubles the facility causes to so many. No one knows how to ensure that drivers will deliver a package to the appropriate Fedex drop-off point, despite it being requested from day 1. I live in an apartment complex where packages are supposed to be delivered to our front door. The delivery drivers from this location regularly leave packages at the mailboxes which is open air, no door, no security leaving the potential for anyone to pull up and just steal our packages. They have been told to stop doing this many times and it continues nonstop. read more

The mattress we ordered was meant to be delivered Saturday. The driver decided to not deliver and selected reason as "business closed", when this was clearly not the case for our apartment. I think he just didn't want to bring the heavy package upstairs. While this is understandable, it's still my understanding this is apart of the job. We called the facility hoping to pick up the package so we wouldn't have to sleep on the floor 2 more nights (since they don't deliver Sunday. The woman on the phone and at the facility was very helpful and the only reason I'm granting a star at all. We did have to drive 45 minutes to get there and wait another hour for her to bring the package, but at least we got it. The main head office is already opened an internal investigation into them and a driver. in one week I have to file 3 claims 2 packages delivered to who knows where with some 4 letter signed for initials which does not match any of ours and then a package that says out delivery for over 10 days this does not include the previous claims I have had to open in the past few months. they need new management and new staff read more

I really thought that this holiday season I would need to be on the lookout for porch pirates, especially since I currently live in an apartment complex. Nope, I was wrong. FedEx ground has been by far worse than pirates. Packages being delivered to me seem to never make it to my door when it comes to them. I ordered a very expensive gift for my lady inside of a store. This gift in particular was the absolute last one they had in the entire company throughout the USA. It was being shipped from a store in Denver. Unfortunately, I was not aware that they would be shipping through FedEx smart ship. Tracking info early that morning stated that it was in Ladson. Silly me for thinking that I would be getting my delivery that day. 5 DAYS LATER, package says it was delivered, along with 4 other items that were ordered by me. Well out of 5 packages, only one was found by me, in a different apartment building. A neighbor later on that evening was kind enough to bring over two more packages that had my name on them. So where are the other two? Tried calling, but their automated system basically goes in a loop, not allowing to speak with a real agent. The website stated that I would not be able to file a claim due to the fact that the company shipped it via Smart Ship and that I would need to have the company contact FedEx to file the claim (that process was also a nightmare). Yesterday, I was able to find a number to an office rep for this FedEx location. After doing some "research," the woman called back stating that the driver that day (VERNON) did not remember where he placed the package and that there was nothing more she could do. Thank you FedEx for ruining my gift Suprise and losing my packages. I guess now i'll have to verify with businesses which shipping company they use before ordering things. For over four years, Fedex delivers to the wrong address. It's the same address every time and they even take a picture of the wrong house. I call, they say it's the vendor's responsibility to refund me by opening a claim. They say that they're going to start an investigation but nothing ever comes of it. I've gone out to the ladson location and they told me that I was wrong. The house they delivered to his mine. I have shown them pictures of my home. I have shown them Google maps and Google Earth of my home. And they still insist that where they delivered is my home. I have been a long time FedEx Customer but I am extremely disappointed with their Ladson service. I had a part that I ordered 2/1/24 from Maryland which arrived at the Ladson location and according to the history and my notifications it was OUT FOR DELIVERY ON 2/3/24. I waited all day for the part and late in the evening I get another notification that it will be arriving the next day Sunday 2/4/24. Sunday I get another notification that it won't be here until Monday 2/5/24. Ladson is approximately 30 miles from my location and FedEx is taking longer to get to me than what it took from the package to get from Maryland to Ladson, SC. This is not my first time experiencing delays from this Ladson location their delivery person who is handling this area is not very reliable. Unacceptable service. read more
