I've been twice this year. One for a Memphis graduation and one for the Justin Timberlake concert. Venue is pretty great! Almost every seat is a good seat! I did sit at the top for the JT concert and I understand you pay for your seat which was still great! I am very a cautious person and typically when you go to concerts you partake in beverages which is also great to be right next to Beale street before and after events! I felt very nervous though up top dancing around strangers with very little room to move and a very long fall if you were to trip. We had some excessive dancers behind us and their long arms kept occasionally hitting our backs or heads. We still had a wonderful time though, great bathrooms (barely had to wait which is rare for a women's bathroom) and wonderful staff. read more

We went for the comedy show Martin Lawrence and we could not hear one joke..our while section could not understand the jokes the mic was horrible. We reported to management and still nothing was done we wasted our hard earn money and people did not care about us at all..why was there not a mic check done?I am so upset we got a hotel and could not hear the show at all is this how you treat your guest..we complained some yelled and no attention was paid to us such disrespect!! Checked out the Spurs vs. Grizz game on a whim, as we were in town and since it's a top opponent, we went ahead and purchased tickets to see The Grindhouse and watch the Grizz in person! The arena is nice, it's right on Beale so it was close to the joints. Inside, the arena is pretty cookie cutter in style, however it gets the job done. The lobby is next to the practice facility and the broadcast studio where they do the pre and post game reports is also located in the lobby. There is a Grizz team store as well which had decent merch. They had a lot of Gasol, Conley, Z-Bo and Tony Allen shirts and jerseys for sale. I didn't get to try any of the arena food because we were gonna hit one of the famous Beale joints after the game. As far as the seats, we had upper level seats and they are pretty decent and the view was not bad at all. Great place to watch a game, the fans were all loud, the team won as well, and it is a great experience. I won't forget my visit to The Grindhouse. read more

I've been here multiple times over the years. I can remember coming to Monster Trucks and basketball games here. Most recently I was here for graduation last August and Disney on Ice last Friday. Every time I've been here has been a great time. The place is clean, the bathrooms are clean, the seats are comfortable, they have cup-holders on the backs of each seat, and the food is what you expect, but still decent. read more

I always assume that when there is a gathering of thousands of people there is going to be mass chaos. Not the case at all at Fed Ex Forum. I've been to a Grizzlies game twice and each time has been a great experience getting in and out of The Forum. There are several lines available to get in the doors so no long waits. There are ushers at every entrance so finding your seat is a breeze. Of course the drink and food prices are ridiculously outrageous but I guess that's everywhere. Plenty of easy to find, clean restrooms. The only slightly odd thing I noticed was that the TVs they have all over the lobbies were still the old tube kind. Seems like such an otherwise up-to-date forum would have replaced those by now with flat screens. read more

We have been to several events at the Forum, and we have enjoyed every one of them. We've been to several Grizzlies games, and have become HUGE fans! (read Kyle W's review-that's pretty much how we felt about the team after we saw the home opener this year!) We saw Paul McCartney and the Eagles and even though we had nosebleed seats, we felt like we were right on stage with them. The sound and the lighting are so well done that every seat really is a great seat. The options for food are varied-so far my favorite has been the Rendevous BBQ nachos. SOOO good! Staff at the Forum is friendly and always willing to help, and they keep the place neat and clean-quite a feat for such an enormous place. Can't wait to go back again! read more

I love going to the forum for just about any event. I have been here for concerts, Tigers, Grizzlies and of course the most important of them all Monster Jam! They have a good food selection and change up in house restaurants from time to time. Of course everything is pricey but that is what you get at any event these days. We have gotten to know the staff there since we frequent the Tigers games and if you see Robert or Pam in section 106 be sure to say hi they are great. Only a few things I do not like about this place and that is getting out of the parking garage it can take forever sometimes and the Pyramid Lounge in the lobby...nice staff but a complete waste of your time and money. A meat and cheese tray was 12 bucks about the size of my hand gross and and pre package...drinks are crazy expensive just don't go in. read more

FedEx Forum is one of my favorite places in Memphis, because it is home to our GRIZZLIES!! The arena itself is very nice. There are plenty of restrooms (always key for games and concerts), and there are a lot of different food options. As a season ticket holder, they also offer different express lines for entering and for food lines, which is nice. You have to show your MVP card in order to get into the line for food though. There are always plenty of beer guys around. I've sat in different seats around the Forum, in both upper and lower levels, and I've never had a bad view of the court. The upper level seats for Grizzlies games start around $20 per seat, so you can go without spending a ton of money. A few down sides after having experienced a bunch of games and a few concerts: The Grizzlies team store is really small and gets crowded quickly. BUT they do have other merchandise stands around the arena, so you can still go and buy stuff or look around. The worst thing I've experienced? FedEx Forum security can be pretty rude. Recently, there has been increased security presence at Grizzlies games and they have been using metal detector wands more often at the door. This was an isolated incident, but a security guard asked me a question that I prefer not to share (he claims he is required to ask this question), but I was insulted by what he said and we immediately reported it to a supervisor. I think the security supervisors should be more careful about who they put by the door, because that put a damper on our evening and even security guards should be mindful of customer service and interpersonal etiquette. BUT!! With all of that aside, 99% of the time, I enjoy myself and really love that FedEx Forum is in Memphis and they are still deserving of 5 stars in my book. GO GRIZZLIES! read more

We went here for a NBA game. First time at this venue and I liked it. Clean. My boyfriend had a $7 hotdog and said it wasn't anything to write home about. The ice cream cones are pretty darn good and worth the money. Beer is $9 so I'd suggest drinking before going. The only major drawback in comparison to other venues is that, from what I could tell, the front doors were the only exit. So, when the game was over, we were like cattle for a while slowly scuffling to the door. And as soon as you walk out the front doors you'll get a blast of smoke from all the smokers that light up right outside after an event. Don't count on breathing until you get to the street. read more

Great forum. Decent size. Not really a bad seat in the house. The "nose bleed" section isn't that high up (at least to someone who grew up going to MSG). The security and staff at the forum was very friendly and helpful. They also made sure to keep all the parking lots moving after the game. read more

This place is a blast to watch Grizzlies games. I haven't been for anything else, but my experience there so far has been terrific. The staff has been friendly and pumped for games, and the people running the games do a lot of activities to keep the crowds attention during breaks in the action. The beer is about the same price as most sports venues, as to say it isn't cheap. However, the venue is located right off Beale street, so it's good to do most of your drinking before and after the game. read more

This is the second time in a month that as a guest I have had the privilege to be in a suite. The suite food concessions changed the hot dogs from Kosher beef to tough small and red. So that why I give it a two. Bring back the edible $8.00 hot dogs! read more

I visited the Forum for the first time for a Grizz game and I didn't really know what to expect. I'm not a huge sports fan, and usually don't go to massive events regardless of what it is. My experience here might have changed that just a little! Let me preface this with the fact that my work rented a suite for the evening and that I didn't really get much of an experience with anything outside of parking in the Forum garage and going straight to the suite. We parked and got right through security. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Those serving our food were very kind and gave really great service, making sure the food was fresh, trash cans emptied, and had an overall great attitude. The facility itself is very nice, and relatively small compared to other places I've been. Like another reviewer said, the highest seats still seemed like they would have a great view. Great experience and looking forward to attending other events at the Forum! P.S. We won. read more

My experience at the Journey concert here last night is what is prompting this review. We stopped by the concession stand outside section 114/115. We order and are told by the employee that the prices on the menu board are different than what she has to actually charge us. We tell her that doesn't make sense and ask for a supervisor. The supervisor comes over and tells us that the menu board prices are in fact cheaper than the actual prices. We tell her that legally they can't advertise one price and then charger a higher price once we order. She proceeds to tell us that they can do that and that isn't her problem. Tells us we have to take it up with Fed Ex Forum and not her because she's just a volunteer. Tells us that all the "employees" there are volunteers whenever concerts are happening. Tells us we can either pay the higher price or not get the food. We buy the food as to not hold up the line behind us but are not pleased. As we are walking away, I overhear the same "volunteer" supervisor telling another customer the same exact load of crap so clearly this was an issue for more than just us. First, it IS against the law to advertise one price and then raise it once payment is due. Second, why in the world would all the employees at the concert be volunteers and not actual employees capable of resolving a problem? Who runs a facility in that manner? All in all it wasn't an issue of paying the couple extra dollars but rather an issue of unethical practices followed by inadequate and unprofessional staffing. FedEx Forum, you really need to get your act together. read more

This stadium is great for concerts and basketball games. I just got back from Bruno Mars' first Memphis concert last night, and man was it awesome! But back to the review on the FedEx Forum. Because it does not seat an exorbitant amount of people, even many of the high seats on the second level can see the action clearly! I would recommend going here for concerts and sports games. I'm not sure everyone in Memphis fully appreciates what we have in this venue. It's been around about a decade and stills stands among the best facilities in the NBA. If you complain about the prices or being crowded or concessions, you come sorta close to kinda sounding somewhat ignorant. Go to any major nba city and see how it compares. It's location is just about perfect for parking and walking in a fun and safe area with about a hundred restaurants, bars, hotels and attractions with in a couple minute walk of the Forum's front door. Those of us who lived through the "tomb of doom" era know just how great the overall experience of an evening at the Forum truly is. read more

This Thursday I went to see a University of Memphis men's basketball game. As a previous employee and current customer of this nice entertainment facility, I still have not seen much of an improvement in not even that many much needed areas. A couple of issues are improving the lighting towards the highest parts of the seating and that the food and drinks are not even close to being what their worth for the price. The main reason that I gave this facility a four star rating instead of a five is because there a more than a few small things that do not have any reason being that way because there is obviously more than enough money being brought in to improve these small issues. It still is overall a good experience, but Memphis I know we can do better. read more

Apparently, they can't be bothered to open most stations for Memphis Tigers games and when they are open, generally for Grizz games, things are either rude or inaccurate.
