Had a great time at the Bluff City Fair. Now I'm the kind of person (over 50) that doesn't like crowds. I get there at 10:30 (they opened at 10), parking was easy and only $5. Walked right up to the ticket booth and hubby and I both being military was able to get in for $5 each. Security checked us in with ease (no drama) and I got to bring in my small Spider-Man umbrella (I don't do direct sunlight) which totally made my day. We had two friends with us and we don't ride anything but we love to walk around, people watch, eat, laugh, eat, talk to the vendors, eat more. The setup was excellent. Indoor vendors (not a lot) but they all had some great prices on their items. We had fun talking and I think hubby got talked into buying something for the tv! Lol! We had a nice cool area to sit down in with huge tables and chairs where we ate our fried bologna sandwich (oooh sooo good) and fried oreos (ooh even better)! This fair is quite a bit smaller than the Delta Fair but we all agreed that we liked this one better because we had a chance to walk around without the crowds and the food was still good. The kids that were here early were able to ride without standing in line. We didn't have to wait in line for food or the bathrooms. Oh and speaking of the bathrooms-you might want to bring your own wipes, paper, sanitizer or whatever you use. I keep an arsenal of stuff with me so I'm good but the bathrooms were not as clean as they could have been. Other than that everything was great. At around 2 we started to leave as the crowd started moving in which worked out great. We will definitely return next year. read more
