I called Total Spa after i had another spa repair come…read moreout to take a look at my spa - the reason for the call was that the black hot wire kept tripping the breaker when connected- the "other" company came out right away and after about 10 minutes said to me- Ma'am im really sorry to tell you this but you have a bad circuit board" said i would need to order the part myself due to they not being a master spa dealer- I said ok- immediately ordered the circuit board (670$) and i called the "other" company and told them i ordered the circuit board and that it was expected in 2 days. They then told me i needed to drain all the water out in case we get another cold snap and that they really couldn't tell me when they could come out to install due them being very busy. Told me to drain the water and use a wet vac to get as much water out of the tub as i can- so i proceeded to do as directed, that night i got to thinking about it and just had a bad feeling, so in the am i immediately started looking for a 2nd opinion. That is when i found my life saver Tim- called him- he called me back the next day (friday) and i told him what had been told to me- he said that doesn't sound like a bad circuit board and said he could be out that following Monday- Tim came Monday and within 10 minutes found the problem- just sound bad wiring from the electrician, he fixed it! I am so thankful for Tim! He is very professional, and honest. If i could give Tim and Total Spa 10 STARS i absolutely would! He is your guy for Total Spa Repair! The limelight collection is even better than I imagined it would be. Sometimes we select one color and other times we just let it rotate through all the colors. Glad to have finally made this purchase back at the end of 2020 - the hot tub is so therapeutic and relaxing. I especially enjoy it on frigid nights during winter when the sky is clear and I can star gaze for as long as I want. :) Everyone at Capital Hot Tubs has always been wonderful. Purchase, delivery, and installation all went smoothly. Anytime we have needed assistance, they are quick to respond whether it is a question about a replacement part or water quality or even when an exterior panel needed to be repaired, the staff go above and beyond. We are fortunate to live close by as well. Our filters needed to be replaced last week so I just stopped by on a whim and Evelyn was very kind and helpful (Hi and thank you again, Evelyn! The purchase costed more than Costco or an online retailer, but It's well worth it. There are a lot of logistics when purchasing a hot tub such as delivery, installation, electrical, setup and so many other factors. And also warranty. These folks did an amazing job from electrical to set up and so many other items that's needed when setting up a hot tub. The best part is they provide amazing service afterwards. I've had to call for maintenance a few times and capital hot tubs takes care of it. Recently my control display died and Jay came over and took care of everything and was courteous, professional, and he knew his stuff. On top of that Jay also fixed another item under warranty that I wasn't even aware of. If you're looking for a real hot tub please don't buy online. Instead go to these folks and they will make it great and also after.

When the CYA was way off, the staff came out and spent 20 minutes first getting to the bottle of why our numbers were the way they were and then explaining chemical management in detail to us. Our PB never did this. The staff was very friendly and I do appreciate that everyone was still in a mask. The store is well organized and has everything you need to maintain and have fun in a pool. I wish we had more time to spend in there. We were extremely happy and knew exactly how to treat the pool when we left. They have a customer for life here.

Visit 2: Install parts I ordered and fix. Only charged me for labor time which worked out as 1hr despite 2 visits. Problem (needed new filter) completely fixed and lasted all Summer so far. They came less than 48hrs after parts I ordered arrived. Tech (Brett) said they know the timeliness necessary on broken filters and want to take care of customers. Will definitely recommend and will be my first call for any future needs (including if I ever upgrade to an in-ground pool).

I called around to multiple companies in my area and they were the only ones that asked me "are you a first time home buyer" and responded with "let me tell you a little about the process of maintaining and opening a pool since you are new to this experience". They all know where to find anything. If they can, they walk with you to find what you need. Now, that to me is good service! I have even had them help carry paint to my car. They are a larger store than it appears outside, but not too large to give you that special hometown feel service. Some items may be a bit higher, but for the convenience, and to save on gas, I will say their prices are fair. They have greenhouses outside that I have purchased beautiful flowers from. They have an extremely large paint department where you can find any supplies you might need. They carry Benjamin Moore paint and will tint it with spot on accuracy. Craig, one of the owners, is a locksmith. Long before key fobs, I had to use his services. It was after hours, but he was there quickly. He charged a reasonable price, and worked quickly. The truck is painted nicely with the Ace logo, his shirt also id'd him as an Ace representative which I consider very professional. I have nothing but nice things to say about this store that I have utilized since I moved to Thurmont in the 80's. It has only gotten better!
