Decent hair cuts and beard trims. Nice place. The two women are very professional. I've been going here for about a year.

I just called this location, I noticed their website said they are open. I wanted to ask a general question regarding a specific haircut , if they were able to do it. I called one time, they answered then immediately hung up. So I called again, I politely asked my question and they gave an unprofessional and unpleasant response then immediately hung up the second time. Very rude interaction. read more

Quick and efficient. $20 per haircut. They only take cash. I wish they were in my hometown. read more

Federal Hill Barber Shop - Outside - Barbers Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

This is no ordinary barbershop. I went here for about a year because it was convenient to my house. Then I moved across the city. I tried a few other barbers/hairdressers over the next few months. They were all either more expensive, slower, or lower quality (and in some cases, all of the above). After about 5 haircuts like that, I went back to Fed Hill Barbershop and immediately got a seat, got a perfect haircut in under 10 minutes, and only got charged $20 (somehow their prices haven't gone up since COVID and all this inflation). I'm going to keep driving across town to come here moving forward! Highly recommend. read more

On Monday, July 10th I got a haircut. I had been there twice before with a good experience. The latest one was not so much. My haircut was ok & I paid and even gave a tip. But the lady was unfriendly. I guess I committed the sin of engaging in the slightest of conversation (such as how are you, etc). In response I was met by a cold stare and silence. All this with me paying and even giving a tip. My question to the lady who cut my hair: What did I do to piss you off ??? read more

This was my first time going there and quite frankly I wasn't sure if I explained what I wanted in enough detail. The woman who cut my hair was done in maybe 15 minutes and other then me asking to cut a little bit more off the top (personal preference) everything was spot on. For $20 this is an absolute deal and I will continue going there. read more

First time here, Tina cut my hair. I sit down and ask for a little trim, as I show her the length I want my hair cut she rudely cuts me off and says "I know." Thats cool shes a mind reader. I then get home and realize she butchered my hair line shaving way past it. I guess "I know" meant "I know you want to look like Charlie Sheen in Major League." It's all good though, Im a big fan of turtlenecks. read more

If you're looking for a quick, decently priced haircut with no BS, then this place is for you. Both ladies are very consistent and cut hair exactly the same so it doesn't matter in which chair you sit. Great haircut every time. Very easy to find parking right out front too. read more

If I could give less stars I would. So yesterday I was looking at barbershops in the area and I saw some good reviews on this place with a few bad ones. Since they had the highest rating I had seen, I decided to give them a shot. Absolute waste of time. Upon arrival there was barely any greeting. As I began to explain the haircut that I wanted, I was cutoff with, "what size guard". Told her wanted a little more than skin. Just as she was about to start, I requested a hard part once complete. Thankfully she hadn't began, since she told me she doesn't do hard parts. I told her well that is what I wanted and she said, "No", and very rudely asked if I would still be getting my hair cut. I said no and got up and left. Seriously do not understand how a place that claims to be a Barber Shop cannot or WILL NOT do a hard part. This is a very common style I have. But big thanks to Brie at Hair Cuttery on Fort Ave for hooking me up. read more

This barber is terrible and I really don't understand the positive reviews. The woman didn't use a guard on the side of my head so it's almost skin now and absolutely butchered the top of my head. I asked for just a little off the top which apparently means 2 inches off the left side and none off the right side here. When I asked the barber correct it they proceeded to cut even more off the short side. Had to tell the barber multiple times to stop making the already short hairs shorter. They don't listen to what you say at all and don't know how to correct mistakes. The haircut was also incredibly painful because the lady was digging the clipper blades into my scalp the entire time. Avoid this place. read more

Every 6 to 8 months the other half mandates that I groom the mop-on-top with the intention of remaining socially tolerable. Remind me to thank her for that. Stopped in this barbershop last Saturday around 2PM. It is located on Light Street just off of Key Highway so very accessible to both downtown and Fed Hill residents alike. I drove, and there was ample street parking (approximately a buck an hour via the pay-and-display machines). As I was walking up I noticed that the shop had about 6 total customer seats, each filled by a young male, and two female Asian barbers tending to the customers currently receiving service. I was a little dismayed by this ratio assuming that it would create a long wait time for service, but I took the last seat anyway because, well, it had been mandated. After sitting down and gauging my surroundings, I noticed various time-passing activities were available. CNN was being broadcasted through a wall-mounted flat screen. Magazines - including PlayBoy and Maxim! - found residence on end tables and empty seats. I settled right down and unashamedly went for the Playboy. There were only men present so I did not fear any judgment in openly perusing the folds. Within 20 minutes, the two barbers had cut the hair of the entire queue. They were extremely efficient with very little small talk. The customers appeared satisfied during the "show phase" of the haircut (the culminating moment when you are spun in your swivel chair and mirrors suddenly appear to show you what your upper neck actually looks like). After I received my cut, I too was satisfied. The barber on the right-hand side of the shop cut my hair (name escapes) and finished the cut with a straight razor for the back of the neck. I asked her to "clean it up, but keep it long" and she accomplished this request with the tact of master. I'd say the cut took 15 minutes tops, and I was out of there in about 40 minutes all-in. Unless there is a line out the door, you'll never need over an hour in your meter if visiting this shop. And finally on price, $15 bucks. Notably, this business is CASH ONLY, so don't be the guy that has to run to the bank post-clip. Seems like a fair price for prompt, professional service. If I still live in this city when I am next due, I will be sure to visit again. read more

TINA ROCKS!!! She's Ms. Scissorhands of the East Coast...! They initially told me they don't cut women's hair but I was on vacation, have short hair already, and desperately needed a cut. Tina said OK...and I walked out of there (literally) dancing! Such a nice gal, listened to what I wanted, and gave me such a cute cut. I would return over and over if I lived in the area. Totally recommended! read more

Phenomenal cut- they just got it! My hair was shaggy and they made it right. Funny, efficient, and they knew how I wanted it the moment I walked through the door. That's what I need in a barbershop- many could stand to learn! My new Baltimore mainstay. read more

Great haircut, super nice owners. Highly recommended. I was traveling in form out of town and needed a last minute haircut and they delivered with flying colors! read more

No frills barber shop. For those of you, like myself, that typically only have an idea of how you want your hair to turn out, this is the place for you. Knowledgeable barbers go to work on your hair. Not much in the way of conversation, but they focus on their task, which is making you look good. After the cut, there is a warm lather straight razor cut. Great cut, and price for the area. Have been back several times since the first cut! read more

I am balding with fine hair that I like to have cut short. Not everybody can do this as I have gotten some patchy haircuts in the past. Both these ladies are equally good at it. I have been going there as long as they have been open. read more

Tina did a fantastic job! Very efficient and a great price for an awesome cut! Planning to come back for future haircuts. Cash only business so be sure to go to the ATM before you get your hair cut. read more

Fast, and cheap ($15 is on the low range that you'll find in Baltimore). No frills, but then again, I'm used to traditional men's haircuts, so I've never thought it prudent to pay much more than $20 for my haircut when it all looks the same at the end. The room is clean and the ladies friendly. read more

Perfection! Thina cut my hair and knew exactly what to do with very little guidance. My new favorite place to get my hair cut in the Baltimore area. read more

She cut my hair exactly how I asked, perfectly. I'm very picky about my hair but in this case it's like she went in my head and saw what I had in mind. I'll be back for my next cut. read more

Cash only...but great haircut. The ladies are experts.

Excellent barbers. I'm not a fan of getting haircuts but these ladies are the fastest I've ever experienced. Pleasant, professional and accurate. read more

I got the worst haircut of my life at this place, and that's saying something because I'm an old guy. I was going to cuss out the barber but it would not have been very satisfying because her English language comprehension ability is severely limited. Haircuts are cheap and they are fast but if you care at all about your appearance do not even think about patronizing this place. read more

Simply put, I love this barber shop. I get my hair cut about every three weeks and have been going here for over 7 years. I have changed hair styles over the years and they have always given me the best haircut. From buzz cuts with a nice fade to a longer professional cut, I always walk out happy. Its even worth the 45 minute drive now... usually accompanied by a nice walk around the harbor. read more
