We cane here on a Saturday morning around 9:30 and we waited for a few minutes for our table to be ready. But by the time we were leaving, there was a huge lineup at the restaurant. I was ready impressed. They provide really good service and the staff were all friendly. The menu offers great variety of options from sweet to savory. You can also order bottomless coffee. We wanted to try different options so we ordered "3 Egg Omelette with mushrooms, Spinach and Tomatoes", "Swiss Steak Bruschetta Benny", "Greek Skillet", "Blueberry Pancake with Fruits" and "3 Eggs with Triple A Striploin Steak". My partner was looking for a no frills breakfast and Features fit the bill. It was your typical diner with a standard breakfast menu. There were no vegan options for breakfast, so I ended up having a plate of fries (good fries, but still fries). The dining area was very bare bones. There was a large area without tables. It seems maybe they kept it that way after Covid. It seemed open and empty. The coffee was good and continually topped off. My partner enjoyed his omelette. There was a steady stream of people coming through the door. It was hard to tell if it was a local hang out or visitors like us. Features is located downtown and easily accessible. read more

We stopped by here randomly for brunch on a weekend and had a pretty solid meal. The brunch menu was fairly standard and they had the option of eating inside or on their patio. The food was served in disposable containers and someone came out to wipe down the tables after use with a disinfectant. Tables were spaced decently apart. Food-wise, it was decent. The eggs Benedict was fairly standard and the breakfast bowl was a mix of scrambled eggs, avocado, onions, spinach, mushroom and feta cheese. The breakfast bowl didn't really do much for me; it was a little bland. Under normal circumstances, I would have asked for hot sauce. The two orders plus coffee came to around $40. Came here on a visit to Stratford and it was exactly what it seems. A diner with a mixed menu of both breakfast and lunch offerings. Service to regulars was definitely a little more attentive and friendly, and the tap waster tasted atrocious, but I attribute that to personal taste more than anything. My friend ordered the breakfast combo which was huge and everything was good! I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich and it was well prepared, and tasty, with costco like fries. This place is a pepsi establishment :( but definitely has a homey feel about it. read more

We visited FEATURES, in Stratford, on Sunday the 31st October 2021. We got into the line-up, outside the building, and, after half an hour, we eventually moved inside the restaurant, to continue our wait. The young lad who checked our covid documents, was very polite, and we were soon taken to our table. Our waitress was pleasant and brought us coffee. I ordered toast and my friend ordered eggs benedict. I then glanced at the clock on the wall and it said '11.45. a.m. Whilst waiting, we noticed the delivery drivers, coming and going; they were very busy. My friend and I are patient people but, even so, we were kind of peeved that our food arrived 55 minutes later, at 12.40. p.m., the waitress saying, "Sorry it took so long." The toast was okay, but the eggs benedict was horrible and runny, and wasn't cooked properly. It would appear that precedence was given to the many many deliveries, and that the customers in the restaurant, had to wait their turn. As a result, the turnover of the customers, in the restaurant, was slow going, and consequently, people were in he lineup for longer than they should have been. It seems that this restaurant has nothing but good reviews, online, and there are many framed certificates of excellence on the wall. Maybe we came at a bad time on the wrong day. This place has a wonderful set up for outdoor dining for covid, and has a great offering of breakfast options. I had the traditional breakfast, 3 eggs over easy, rye toast, has brown potatoes, a side of baked beans and some fruit instead of the meat option that came with the meal. My eggs were perfectly done, and had dunkable yolks for my toasted rye. We also ordered the corned beef hash with poached eggs, which were also very much enjoyed. This place really knows how to poach their eggs to have soft yolks, and I really appreciated having the hollandaise sauce on the side, which lets me throw it on top when I'm ready without making my meal soggy. We had indoor seating as the patio was full, but it was great to have AC on a hot summer morning. read more

After acknowledging the restaurants responsibility for the dissatisfaction of the customer (food overcooked, hair in food, new food undercooked, poor service. Okay, I had just finished a dance workshop and I was famished, so this may be a little biased. I ordered the classic breakfast and it was good. With the exception of the mini serving of baked beans, I ate it all. The home fries were crisp and perfectly salted. The toast was buttery but not soggy. Yum! I wasn't thrilled about the table as we were crammed by the stairs right in the main pathway for the servers and anyone wanting to access the back of the restaurant or the washrooms. But our server was very friendly and attentive. My coffee was promptly refilled, and he had time to banter as he passed by. And the price was right! Good luck finding this place! There are two addresses online for it and it is not located at either! We called to ask them where they were located and they said they were at 10 Downie. We went to that address, as well as the 159 Ontario street address, which is the other address it was listed at and they weren't at either. We figured it was some super secret Stratford underground speakeasy type place so we finally gave up and went to McDonalds for breakfast! I did eventually see a place called Features, on my way out of town, at the corner of Erie and Ontario streets ... I guess that was it? I will never know. There was a long line out front waiting so that's why I gave the 3 stars because I figured it must be good, but I took the 2 stars away because the address situation is SO ridiculously frustrating and took up far too much of my morning. She spoke in a degrading type manner to my boyfriend and was impatient with us. Apparently it had been very busy earlier, but wasn't when we got there. He had never been there before and it took us both awhile to make up our minds. We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning, and did not have to wait (good timing?), but could see that as we left, it was filling up fast! Our server, Dan, was a card, and really made the morning! He was quick, answered our questions, and refilled our coffees (with loads of cream) without being prompted. My hubby had the Greek Skillet, which was fabulous with feta, cheddar, peppers, onions and great kalamata olives. I gave in to a craving and became a Benny-Addict (as Dan politely called it) ordering the 1/2 portion of Eggs Bennedict. The plate came with two poached eggs on a piece of French Toast, with the juiciest slice of peameal bacon ever, and great homefries. I have never had it on French Toast, and this was a nice change. Dan the Man also brought me some extra Hollandaise, which was creamy and hot and wonderful. We will DEFINITELY be back to try some more next time we are in town! read more
