I had heard how good this place was and went for lunch. The food and service was so good we canceled our dinner reservations went back for dinner with friends. Fresh homemade food, great atmosphere with reasonable prices.

Oh my goodness this morning I thought I died and went to breakfast heaven. This was all due to Romeo's Corner Cafe's Juliet Benny. Starting with a cheddar cheese biscuit, covered with Brie cheese, avocado, and then bacon, and oozy eggs. They come with very thin hash browns which were tasty, but the star of the dish was the melt in your mouth Benny. The decor in the restaurant was beautiful. Ethereal chandeliers add to the classic theatrical feel of the place and the staff was working hard to keep up with the packed house. I highly recommend that you take the time to stop here on your visit. They are open for lunch and dinner as well.

Stopped in this place on our way to see a show at the Stratford Festival Theatre. Servers were courteous and friendly however the kitchen was fairly slow for the type of brunch menu they were serving. We waited 35 minutes from the point of when our orders were put in by the server. This is the main reason for not awarding four stars. Food quality was very good and serving portions were appropriate but not overly generous.

Great food and service. Fun, stage like atmosphere. Perfect for Stratord, Ontario. We enjoyed the breakfast menu and hospitality of the staff.

Good food. Décor is diner-chic, but a bit tired. Lost a star for slow (but friendly) service.

It's my favourite flavour too, but I have a soft spot for the chocolate raspberry beans too)! Owner Nancy (Hotson) is AWESOME! She's half the charm of this place - ask her anything! You'll see. She knows everything there is to know about all the products she sells - coffees, teas and cigars, for the most part. Extra tip: You can now order their coffee beans online! YAHOO!

I was shopping for my best friend's bachelor party. Being from the States, Cuban cigars are impossible to find here, so he was hoping to smoke some while we were in Stratford. I had called ahead and, sure enough, they had plenty. Walking in, it smelled more of coffee and I thought for a moment I was shopping for the wrong thing; perhaps I should have planned to pick up a pound of some coffee too! Nancy, the proprietor, was very friendly. Not knowing much about cigars, I didn't know what I wanted, but she was very happy to help me decide what kinds to get. She even suggested some of the inexpensive ($5 per) cigars, saying that for my money, those would probably be best. She suggested that Cubans are not necessarily better cigars, so I ended up with a mix of cigars, both in origin and price. For a dozen guys, not all of whom love cigars, this was invaluable. Next time I'm in Stratford, I will definitely drop in!

The size is perfect for any event, both intimate and spacious. There is a good mix of smaller tables and larger ones that accommodate parties of any size. There is even a cute area in the back with living-space styled seating that offers a very homey feel. The restaurant is so clean, you literally feel like you could eat off the floor. I first visited to attend a Drag Brunch for Crystal Quartz. I've since returned for more of the same, plus a very special Valentine's Day Event that included a five-course dinner and belly-dance show. One of the things that makes this place so wonderful is the inclusion and safe space for both patrons and performers. The owner is so kind and just a wonderful human being. He will welcome you and make you feel like family, along with the rest of his amazing staff. I've never had better service or more wonderful gluten-free food! Unlike other restaurants, there is always something I can eat and it's not just a steak or salad. In fact. the five-course dinner had something for those who cannot eat gluten at every course and it felt like something special, something you can't just get anywhere. There are so many places I go and get cocktails and they either baby down the size, scrimp on the alcohol and overfill the ice. The do not do that here. The cocktails are well worth the price. Excellent mimosas at brunch too! My favourite item for brunch is the GF bfast sandwich. Absolutely delicious! You also get a choice of tots or salad, so if you're feeling more on the healthy side or hungover side, you're covered, lol. I felt like royalty at the 5-course dinner; the food was so elevated and very much fit with the Mediterranean theme of the belly dance event. The first course was bread, olives and pickled (I believe it was onion, could have been beet) and they had two different GF breads for me! Also came with walnut spread and tzatziki sauce, sooooo good! There was a brown butter carrot soup I couldn't get enough of and fried hallumi cheese with pomegranate and honey dukkah, so indulgent. The main was beef kofta on an aromatic salad, absolutely delicious! Dessert for me was ice cream with fresh fruit and choco sauce. The entire dinner was just beautiful. And they had a special love potion drink they were making with gin, but my wonderful server did tequila for me on request. The table was gorgeous with a little candle. I felt very pampered, as I always do at this spot. The price was right too, especially on Valentine's Day and for 5 courses. The belly dance event was so wonderful too! There was a male dancer who works with Crystal Q and he handed out roses during his dance. As a 50-something woman who hasn't gotten flowers in over a decade, it was a touch that made even me tear up a little. All three dancers were so talented, and the show was breathtaking. But all the events at this wonderful venue are always something special. If you see an event booked here on Insta, get your tickets! The performers won't disappoint, the staff is second to none, and the food is an experience. I can't wait to visit again and cannot recommend Brch & Wyn enough!

The cafe is an outdoor, street-side affair, with tables on the front porch and under a pagoda in the garden area. My husband ordered a carrot soup and an English cheddar with chutney spread on a whole grain bread. I ordered a scone. The scone was fresh and light and came with sides of coddled cream, lemon curd, and homemade strawberry preserves. The carrot soup was homemade and was beautifully seasoned. The cheese sandwich was was made of thick slices of hearty bread and generous slices of cheddar. Service was cheery and prompt. Even the water arrived with lemon slices. In all, an excellent meal. The only drawback is the traffic on the street. Correction, it's not a street, it's a highway. When the semi-trailer trucks go roaring by, which is every few seconds, we just had to stop talking. They must wipe off those tables religiously, too, or they would be covered in dust from that busy highway. I'd eat there again, though, because it was the best food we ate in the Stratford area.

The newest location is right by the river - with lots of public parking across the street. Beautiful old building and a nicer overall decor than the previous spot. "Mennonite sandwich, please" is what I said - and what you better say if you know what's good for ya. That delicious summer sausage, fresh corn relish with a subtle but delicious kick of spice. The cheddar - classic taste - nice slice - just how I like it. Definitely not processed cheese. The fresh country white bread - melt in your mouth but still with a crunchy brown crust. MMMMMMMMMennonites seem to have the secret of sandwich making down pat. This is the kind of sandwich that puts hair on your chest...What's that joke - why do Mennonite boys grow beards? I enjoy the Othello (sans pesto, of course) but most often create-my-own. Last time I was there I had local goats cheese (swoon-inducing) on multigrain (OMG freshly-baked and so so so good) with alfalfa sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocados, lettuce, roasted sweet red peppers, honey mustard (made by local mennonites!) & mayo. I always add the "deli dills" - I'm pretty sure they're local mennonite too. Needless to say, PHENOMENAL. They also have THE MOST AMAZING 4-bean salad. Try it. Trust me. I don't even LIKE bean salad all that much... this one converted me. Really. GET IT. They lose a star because it's time to fix the service. It takes waaay too long to get your food, and that's true whether you eat in or order from the take-out window. Service is a bit better for breakfast, but still nothing to rave about. Expect to wait 20-30 minutes for your food. The kitchen & waitstaff are unfortunately more often than not visibly frazzled/stressed. I have been here for breakfast a bunch of times, as well as dinner once or twice. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their jam - "moss berry" - never heard of it before or since! For dinner, I've had the Spinach, Marinated Mushroom, Red Onion and Goat Cheese Pizza ($6.50) as well as the Caramelized Broccoli, Red Onion and Ricotta Stuffed Pasta Shells baked in a our slow-cooked Tomato Sauce ($13.95). Both VERY yummy. Their breakfast burrito is legendary. I must recommend it as your first breakfast expedition at YSK. For meat-eaters, try the peameal bacon. LOCAL PORK FACTOIDS: A note on peameal bacon + Stratford: this is prime peameal bacon territory. If you don't make it to YSK, try to get to the Stratford Farmer's Market where you will find a chuckwagon of sorts vending DREAMY peameal bacon sandwiches. OMG. AMAZING. Perth County produces some of the best pork in the country. If you're passing through Shakespeare on the way to Stratford (or back - it's just east of Stratford), make a stop at "The Best Little Pork Shoppe", which is certainly NOT little. Check it out: http://www.porkshoppe.com/ Last interesting pork fact? The Annual Ontario Pork Congress happens in Stratford too. Just one more point in proof that Stratford is THE place to be eating pork. Which I don't, to clarify. I've been a veghead for 13 years now. But I have juicy childhood memories of Saturday mornings at the market with my Dad eating peameal bacon sandwiches with LOCAL bacon, LOCAL cheddar cheese, FRESHLY-CHURNED LOCAL butter on a FRESHLY-BAKED kaiser bun. FOR REAL. Back to TSK breakfast. I've also had the French Toast with local maple syrup and some sort of homemade apple-pie-filling-type side (INCREDIBLE) and the H.M.S. Pinafore Breakfast Sandwich (toasted bagel with that gorgeous local goat cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, onion & lettuce) is worth a try too!
