Great place to start your day! Fantastic food! I loved the Juliet, which is a Benedict with Brie cheese, bacon and avocado mash. Crispy hash browns on the side. I loved how crispy they were! Delicious latte too. Fun decor. Lots of tables and booths. The owner is a fabulous lady and she even waits on the customers. She gives stellar service. Spacious interior. The place is popular so get there early! read more

Very good food!! The service is always good and served with a smile. It's a busy place so you know it's good!! I've been here a few times and have had the Ruben sandwich on gluten free bread and the pesto chicken sandwich. Both where top notch and I would order them again. The others with me had a range of items like fish n chips, wraps, bison burger, all very good and they were raving about it. When you are in town to see a Stratford Festival show you should pass by. Recommended!! read more

Good food. Décor is diner-chic, but a bit tired. Lost a star for slow (but friendly) service.

The breakfast was okay... basic breakfast decent price. We waited at the door while 4 tables sat empty ready to be cleaned. Once seated we waited an atrocious amount of time to be waited on. We watch around us as patrons who came after us were receiving their meals and we hadn't had our beverages yet. Aside from the frustration of waiting to be served the decor was okay. read more

First place we ever ate in Stratford and still one of our favs. Breakfast is amazing and incredibly flavorful. Always look forward to stopping in. read more

Great food and wonderful service. If you have not yet you must try their breakfast hash, it is to die for.

I had the basic breakfast and found the potatoes lukewarm and the sausage tasteless. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the rye toast was of good quality. An OK option if you're staying in the Best Western next door. read more

We ate here twice during our stay in Stratford: once from the breakfast menu, once from the lunch. The staff was delightful and even recognized us on our return a few days later. Can highly recommend the eggs Benedict, the cinnamon roll French toast, and the maple bourbon chicken sandwich. read more

Oh my goodness this morning I thought I died and went to breakfast heaven. This was all due to Romeo's Corner Cafe's Juliet Benny. Starting with a cheddar cheese biscuit, covered with Brie cheese, avocado, and then bacon, and oozy eggs. They come with very thin hash browns which were tasty, but the star of the dish was the melt in your mouth Benny. The decor in the restaurant was beautiful. Ethereal chandeliers add to the classic theatrical feel of the place and the staff was working hard to keep up with the packed house. I highly recommend that you take the time to stop here on your visit. They are open for lunch and dinner as well. read more

Love it! Friendly, make a reservation if it's the weekend. Love the eggs Benedict. Fantastic brunch.

Recently went for brunch with 3 other people. Waited over 1/2 hour to get our drink and food ordered. Waited another hour to get our food. It came out cold. Some other people that came after us got there food first and finished and left before we were finished. The only thing I heard from them was that sometimes the order is complicated. The order was 3 basic Romeo breakfasts and a eggs Benedict. Not complicated. I have eaten here before but never had such a bad experience. I would have to think twice before even considering going back. I left feeling no value for my money, favouritism for other "regulars" and a feeling of an episode of restaurant impossible. read more

I had heard how good this place was and went for lunch. The food and service was so good we canceled our dinner reservations went back for dinner with friends. Fresh homemade food, great atmosphere with reasonable prices. read more

In town for summer festival season & stopped by for breakfast. Nicely appointed and inviting for guests. Food was excellent! Service was top notch. We plan on going back to try their dinner menu. HIGHLY recommend! read more

Stopped in this place on our way to see a show at the Stratford Festival Theatre. Servers were courteous and friendly however the kitchen was fairly slow for the type of brunch menu they were serving. We waited 35 minutes from the point of when our orders were put in by the server. This is the main reason for not awarding four stars. Food quality was very good and serving portions were appropriate but not overly generous. read more

Service is fast and friendly. Went for brunch. Had the Juliet Eggs Benny. It was alright. Eggs were over cooked. Shredded potatoes are awesome. I would definitely go back. read more

GO HERE!!!! OUR first fine in Stratford arrives around lunch time and this restaurant was right beside our hotel. Looked so quaint. We had the cali burger and spinach salad. My husband and I split because we wanted a lighter lunch. I was thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Stratford we will be back here forsure for breakfast tomorrow morning. Love small towns and there restaurants!!! This is definitely one of my favs. read more

Our favourite restaurant in Stratford! You wouldn't expect such high quality food from such a low-key, casual place. It is excellent. The chicken burger is delicious - a full-fledged chicken breast on a bun. The chicken pesto wrap is another favourite. For brunch, the skillets are the best, especially accompanied by fresh local sourdough toast. The service is friendly, comfortable and timely. We love Romeo's. read more

We went here for breakfast when in town. I really enjoyed the truffle Benedict. The fruit on the side was not much, but everything else was a good portion and tasty. Nice atmosphere. read more

I had a positive experience during my first visit here. It was a short walk from the hotel across the street. Prompt service and friendly staff. My food was delicious - I recommend the bruschetta skillet. It came with buttered, toasted bread. Potatoes were amazing... I'm still thinking about them :) read more

Nice little breakfast/lunch cafe. We've been here many times. The food has always been delicious and cooked as ordered. Fluffy pancakes, delicious potatoes, thick French toast and a wide variety of egg options. read more

Service was good. Coffee was good. Food was average. I got the eggs benedict and the egg was harder than typical bennies. It was pretty quiet when we were there on a Tuesday morning. Good overall value. read more

Fantastic place for breakfast/brunch. They have a great selection and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Well it's has to be kind to the food when the service is abysmal. It's possible they were short staffed but the aimless sauntering and lack of organization (and evidently training) were evident at every turn. Empty tables. People waiting. Answering the phone when the place is falling apart. Benedict was ok. How do you screw up scrambled eggs ? Thrown on the griddle and then sliced like lunch meat. Sub par potatoes. Waited to be greeted, seated, served and to pay. Might be ok on another day but I'd keep moving if there's a wait and you don't see anyone being seated in a while. read more

Great food - perfect spot for breakfast or lunch. I have not been here for supper yet, so I will not comment on that. Romeo's Cafe takes traditional meals to a new level without breaking the budget. Nice all-day breakfast... I've had the omlette, skillet and standard breakfast and they were all quite good. Not the "greasy spoon" style brekkie, but modern, tasty and beautifully presented twists. Today I had Carrot soup and chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Nice fresh bread and I especially like the small garnishes they use for presentation. I'd love to see Romeo's promote local coffee, local beer and locally grown/raised food. Nice restaurant. Better choice than Madelyn ' s or Features for a modern breakfast or lunch. read more

I will not return. Waited an hour for our meals. Food was mostly cold once we got it, bland and boring. Serving staff was overwhelmed by the volume of guests and needed reminding for EVERYTHING (coffee refills, yogurt, jam). I voiced my concern so they gave us one meal for free, but added extras to the bill that we didn't order. Not good for kids: no child meals for breakfast, had to "find" a straw, and no lids for drinks. read more

As a frequent visitor to Stratford I've eaten in many places along the Main Street where there is no parking. Romeos has parking, which makes it ideal. They were great at accommodating my food allergies, making suggestions and even prepared to alter their menu. I was nervous about making a fuss, however the server was courteous and reassuring. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing and delicious lunch. read more

First time trying this local restaurant. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was very efficient. I tried the burger served with a tomato relish and it was excellent. The burger was perfectly cooked and had wonderful flavor from the grill. The side salad came with a sweet and savory dressing that blended well with the greens. One of the specials was lobster mac and cheese which looked delicious. It's on my list to try for next time. I really enjoyed the experience here and would not hesitate to return or recommend. read more

Best breakfast in Stratford, and believe me when I tell you because we love Madeleine's and Features (oh, the Paul Bunyan!! Don't miss these either, by the way.) The Reuben omelette was a slice of heaven. Fun, bustling diner atmosphere without the diner stomach ache or post-breakfast odor on your clothes after the fact. Have not tried this outside of brunch, but I suspect it's good. read more

Super yummy! Brie purger was amazing. Service and wine were excellent. Great job, Romeo's team! Impressed!

Sorry we found this place so late in our stay. Breakfast menu was huge with so many tempting choices. The aroma walking in the door was enticing and the service was good. Would like to have tried some of their lunches or dinners. read more

Originally planned to go to lunch somewhere else, but they were closed. So happy we ran into Romeo's! Nancy, our server, was super sweet, accomodating to our kids, and attentive. Our food came fast, and was excellent. Their reuben sandwich was seriously one of the best Ive ever had. Pesto pasta special was super tasty! They also had a kids menu :) It was a pleasant surprise stop in Stratford. read more

Full disclosure: if I had been rating this restaurant on food alone, I would've given it 3.5 stars (4 stars for taste; 3 stars for execution, as my poached eggs were overdone). Our table (of 3) waited for an hour to receive our food. The table (of 2) beside us just left because they, too, were waiting for an hour and got fed up. I also heard the table in front of us complain to their server that he "forgot" about them. The place is completely understaffed and the service, while pleasant enough, is for the most part non-existent and therefore abysmal. To their credit, management did comp our meals. But the wait still set us back in our travels and we were not impressed, to say the least. Finally, to put it into perspective, this is the first Yelp review I felt compelled to write. read more

Excellent breakfast spot, slightly larger than average sized portions, delicious, reasonable prices. Relaxed service.

Slow, but worth the wait! We could tell the food was freshly made and was delicious. Very nice decor

This diner is located on Ontario Street near the Festival Theater. Cute decor, an interesting mesh of contemporary-modern and retro-vintage. Friendly and courteous service. Creative and fun menu. The kitchen gets behind and service is slow. We waited 40-50 minutes for a couple of grilled sandwiches. But the food is really good. One point - the menu described my sandwich choice as being served on focaccia but it was served on sour dough. Not a big deal. It was still really tasty. If you have time to spare for a leisurely lunch, this is a good place to eat. If you're trying to squeeze in a quick meal before making curtain time for one of the plays, don't opt to eat here. read more

Flavorful fresh food awaits. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. You won't be disappointed as the menu is eclectic with tasty cuisine.

This is an upscale bistro in Stratford. From the looks you might drive by as it is located on a busy corner outside the main downtown area. The breakfast menu included standard and imaginative dishes. The eggs Benedict on cheese biscuits was one of the top three breakfast meals I've ever eaten. read more
