She has a used tack section with some great items and good prices, as well. What I found most special about this shop was the support and networking for my riding passion and the depth of knowledge and enthusiasm. I left after my short visit with a bag of fun, new grooming items to try, Christmas presents for my horsey friends, and resources vets, training clinics and riding events in the area. I have been a customer of Cotton Club Diaper Service off and on since the mid 1990's. I am a…read moremother of four children, and I just had my fourth child this summer :) Cotton Club Service has been located in Chico serving the surrounding area for at least the past 20 years (that I'm aware of...possibly longer?). I had a great experience with their service of home delivery of clean cloth diapers every week! They had reasonable rates, and the owners were always knowledgeable, Earth friendly business people. This Summer, as a gift, a couple friends purchased my first month of Cotton Club Diaper Service!!! What a fantastic gift! I brought my newborn home from the hospital in the end of July, and there were cloth diapers waiting for us!! Yay!! However, I quickly became disillusioned with the current Cotton Club Diaper Service =o( I'm not sure where to start because it seems as soon as I started using their service, I was disappointed! My friends paid for the first month of service from July 28 through Aug 28. I was paid in full and not due for a bill until October 1. As per Cotton Club policy, payment is not due until the end of the month you are using their service. So nice to not have to worry about a diaper bill for a bit!! By the way, the cost is $89 per month regardless of how many diapers you use (if you have multiple babies in diapers this is a steal!! If you have a preemie baby who doesn't use many diapers, this is a rip off). The third week of August I received a bill for $237 due Sept 1--remember I was paid in full through all of August. According to their policy (you can find it on their web page) and my calculations, I was due to pay $89 on October 1. There had to be a mistake. I called and spoke with the owner, and asked how their billing system worked. The woman on the phone stated "you owe $237, and that will pay you through October." I informed her that she was double charging for the month of August, and that the billing cycle for September had not yet ended. She was confused and offered no reasoning. Eventually, with my encouragement and reminding, she concluded that she was double charging me for August, and was charging early for September AND October. She then changed the bill amount to $178. I became suspicious of her business practices. I requested to go to their place of business to drop off payment. The previous owners always welcomed visitors. The new owner wouldn't allow it. She stated that they had closed the business in Chico and had moved it to Magalia. Needless to say, I paid my bill early and canceled their service. It is really too bad that there is not another cloth diaper service company to chose from. I would recommend laundering your own diapers before ever using Cotton Club Diaper Service. Other diaper services (in other areas) charge you for what you use. Cotton Club used to do this as well, but not any longer. The new owner stated that it is too difficult to charge customers for the diapers they use. It's easier to charge everyone the same regardless of use.
