I have ordered some of the Italian cookies in the past and I have also tried some of their other pastries which are always divine! The other day, I picked up a cannoli and a slice of tiramisu with plans to bring them home to share with the hubby. I was feeling tempted to get a cream horn and a few other items, but knew that I could pick up those items the next time I visit. During a busy time, they move quick and take orders fast. It can seem a bit rushed at times, but that's only to keep the line moving. Just make sure you know what you want when it is your turn.

I was told by a nearby restaurant that the bread came from Vitales and it was that good that when I saw it, I decided to stop for a loaf. Staff were busy but not unfriendly and attentive to ensure they grabbed all that I had asked for from the dessert cases. I got a few cookies and I expected a heavy shortbread type cookie from my first but it was light and airy and delicious. I asked about a piece of cake and the staff described what was in it and stated that it was a good choice... I have yet to try it, but I love pistachios so I am looking forward to it :) Overall this was a pleasant experience and again what I have eaten of what we bought was absolutely delicious so I can't imagine that I won't go back. I was very happy to see improvement from my first visit, but even the best places and people can have off days so perhaps that particular day was one for them or me or both lol

Everyone was extremely nice especially the person at the register! I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was hearty and delicious! I also ordered a few more items to go like the seasonal pumpkin cruffin! Everything is fresh and made with care. If you're dining in they have a cute dine in section. The drink selection is quite limited but they did have a seasonal drink as well. Overall this is an amazing local spot that clearly cares about customer service and the quality of their food! Would highly recommend!

It took all my strength to not buy one of everything but I selected on four picks for my first of two visits, as well as a bag of their sourdough shortbread that I just finished today and am already missing. I was also given a taster of their apple crisp with my first order, which was very delicious and will be a great addition to any holiday meal. The maple glazed doughnut was soft, a perfect classic. The cranberry ginger jam was delicious and punchy, but could have used a little something on the actual doughnut to balance out how strong it was. I enjoyed both kolaches; the everything seasoning one is well reminiscent of the classic bagel and schmear with its cream cheese center, and the three cheese bacon had good sized strips of bacon baked in. Perhaps my favorite was my take home item from the next day, their cinnamon roll. I warmed it up a little, not that it needed it. Pillowy soft with a delicious frosting. I also miss that already too. I really appreciate that you can also pick up local eggs and milk from this spot with Fed From The Farm. As you can see, it was very busy around 9am when I came in Saturday morning, but the line moves quickly and there's space in the back to wait for your order. The parking lot is small and fills quickly but nearby street parking seems feasible enough. Really glad I got to check out this spot!

Pizza dinner on Saturday night. We put our name in but didn't wait too long for a seat at the bar. We planned on duplicating our order from our last visit but lo and behold they had a couple of new appetizers, so we went with the Italian salad, meatballs with burnt toast, and a pepperoni pizza. I love the salad! Crisp lettuce with garbanzo, fennel, olive, picked pepper and Italian vinaigrette, so good. I asked for no cheese, This new appetizer? Don't pass on it, so very good. The meatball was full of flavor as was the marinara but that burnt toast, I could have sat there and ate it all night. One of their loafs, soaked in olive oil and toasted dark, yum! I did still leave room for the pizza, the pepperoni with a kick of heat from the Calabrian chili, chewy crust. Again, so good! Staff busy in the dining area and behind the bar. They definately go by the rule of if you are leaning you could be cleaning! Constantly rounding up plates and empty glasses, cleaning and polishing the glasses, and wiping things down. Our server was busy but she was attentive to us, I discussed beer options and she recommended the Scratch brewery beer. Talked it up and gave me a sample. It was very good, light and refreshing and went down easy with the pizza. Love this place, I go often but can't imagine how often if I lived closer!

3 words: chicken pot pie…read more It is pot pie season, and sugaree, while they are known for the sweet treats, deliver serious punch with their pot pies. The best part? It is loaded with chicken! Exactly what you need! Super savory, with a beautiful shortbread pie crust that stays crispy even as it absorbs the filling. The interior is quaint. It feels like grandma's house with aged hardwood, antiques, and delicately manicured crown molding. The workers were wonderful. Super friendly, greeting everyone, and just super nice. Definitely a great sweet treat, or take out spot in dog town!

In the weeks leading up to the wedding, we tried multiple times to contact the shop so we could set a delivery time on the wedding day for the cakes. It was very hard to get anyone from the shop to reply to our messages but we were finally able to speak to someone 5 days before our big day. On the day of the wedding, they delivered two cakes that looked really good on the outside. When we finally did the cake cutting, we discovered that they'd delivered two different cakes: one with chocolate filling and one with raspberry. Both cakes were dry. Considering what we paid for these cakes, the difficulty making contact with anyone from the shop, and the utterly unforgivable mistake of getting the order wrong (not to mention that the cakes were dry), we regret ordering from them for what was a really important event. They may shine most of the time but you'd never know it from the experience we had with them.
