Opened since December, Favor Sushi is located in a strip mall on Powerline a few doors down from the Dunkin Donuts. Inside the restaurant is a bar where you can sit and watch the sushi being prepared and 6 small tables inside with an additional table outside. It's simply decorated but very clean. This is the first restaurant for this family owned business but they have supplied the prepared sushi for Fresh Market and other area stores for a long time. When I came for dinner the restaurant was being run by the owner. He works by himself unless it's busy and then his sister in law pitches in. I ordered an iced green honeydew bubble tea, ginger salad, shrimp gyoza, and a California roll. Everything came to $20. While the gyoza was air frying the owner prepared my bubble tea which was delicious. It tasted exactly like fresh honeydew melon. The boba was rectangular and brightly colored instead of the usual tapioca pearls. I took my dinner to go and when I got home I unpacked a feast. The ginger salad was beautiful, fresh, and crisp with the perfect amount of ginger dressing, I could have eaten two of the salads. The shrimp gyoza was delicious with a spicy dipping sauce and the California roll was 15 large pieces of yummy fresh sushi. I will never buy the hard dried out California roll from Publix again after eating the amazing one here. The owner is a great guy. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. My meal provided enough leftovers for lunch the next day. A cold light meal like this is what I crave in the summer heat. In addition to the sushi and bubble tea they also serve soup, poke bowls, and ramen. From the time I ordered to when I got my food was less than 10 minutes including chatting with the owner. Favor Sushi is a small restaurant located in Pompano Beach. They are a fairly new place that opened a few months ago. I'm always craving sushi or poké bowls for lunch. It's pretty awesome that there is finally a place which makes poké in Pompano area. Most places are located in Boca. This review is only for pick up order since I always tend to take small lunch break. Ordering on the phone was very simple. My coworker was stuck in a meeting and I ended up getting her lunch for her as well. There is also the option of ordering thru their online website which seemed user friendly. Our order- 10 piece crunch shrimp delight for my coworker. I tried that sushi roll with her. It was fresh and tasty. Salmon and tuna poké bowl for me. It consisted of chunks of fresh salmon and tuna, cucumber, avocado, sesame seeds, sauces, and option of white or brown rice. It was nice and simple yet so fulfilling. I noticed Favor Sushi a while back and I hadn't had a chance to visit. I finally was able to come by and give it a try. I was excited to see they had bubble tea in their menu and immediately ordered a taro tea. I also ordered a Tuna roll with brown rice. I don't know if it was because I came during lunch time but, it took forever to get my tea and food ready. There was only one person running the register and serving the tables. It seemed like a very hectic moment for her. The taro tea was just ok, maybe I'm picky since I've had really good boba tea at some other places. The sushi was just ok too. Can't believe this place has been open 3 months and we are just finding our about it! It's easy to find if you realize it's behind the Checkers and a couple doors down from the Dunkin' Donuts on the south side of Gateway (and west side of Powerline). The flags announcing their opening are still up. Inside it's pretty basic, but with enough tables to comfortably eat in. With all the companies in the area, however, I imagine their bigger business is takeout. They deliver through grub hub. On the tables are chopsticks and napkins. If you need other utensils, they have plastic ware. We started with a "sushi for wrap". They have 6 varieties. I chose their spring wrap. These are similar to a Thai spring roll in that there's no rice and it's wrapped in rice paper. This roll had lettuce, carrots, cucumber, avocado, cooked shrimp and krab. It was tightly wrapped and came in 2 pieces. The dipping sauce on the side was sweet with a slight kick from the red pepper flakes. It was very good. After that, I had their chicken gyoza. 6 pieces of the potstickers lightly fried and served hot with a soy based dipping sauce. I took half home. We also got to taste their seaweed salad. Very crunchy and refreshing. My husband ordered a spicy salmon roll. The portion was large -- 15 pieces (and only $8.99!). You can opt for white or brown rice. He chose white. In the middle of the roll was raw salmon and cucumber. They served a spicy mayo on the side. There was a lot left over to take home, too. They have bubble teas and juices; salads; 2 types of soup; the wraps, the rolls, Specialty rolls called "delight", poke bowls, and ramen. I'm sure we will be back as they are reasonably priced and in the neighborhood. It's a welcome addition. read more

Found this place thanks to yelp and I would go back for sure. The was only one person working . Super nice guy . He was the server and the one that made the sushi . Super friendly and even thought he was super busy he didn't look stress x I order a couple sushi rolls and he made them very fast... Seems everyone that was there when I was were regular because knew what they wanted to eat and.. everyone was patience knowing that he was alone but even like that his timing wasn't bad , I been other places that you have to wait a long time and they have a lot people. While the sushi looked delicious and it was the preparation of the rice was a little weak. My tuna roll would fall apart as soon as I picked it up top dunk it in the soy sauce. This happened on several if not all the pieces. Maybe because of the pandemic they arent making the sushi rice sticky enough to hold together or maybe it was an inexperienced sushi chef I cant determine why the rice was so loose. Wish I could give this place zero stars... wanted to try out a small place that offered both Ramen and Boba. For starters, the Boba was overfilled to the point the lid had to be completely taken off for the straw to go in. The cup the boba was served in was a regular plastic cup for soda which would've been okay if they hadn't gave us a boba straw only. The straw couldn't fit in the lid even after reducing the volume without getting all over the car. It was a nightmare. The ramen was served in the weirdest to go container I have ever seen. The broth was in a container on top of the ingredients in one big container and it also made a huge mess and leaked all over the bag. From the smell of the broth we could tell it was going to taste super processed. Veggies were clearly freezer food and we ordered the veggie ramen which says online it comes with Tofu and we had no tofu. After one bite, it went down the drain. We will be asking for a refund. I hate leaving bad reviews but for this location, it was strikingly off putting. Placed an order half an hour before arriving to pick up. Walked in and immediately an odor of chlorine and recycled water from the oversized aquarium slapped me in the face. There was one employee(wearing flip flops) handling both the food and front counter/transactions. As he gave the customer before me his order he mentions the meals have yet to be started on. I was so grossed out from the smell of the establishment, I advised him I no longer wanted what I ordered and left. This is a sushi restaurant where handling raw products and cleanliness should be a focus. I've ordered food before this incident but had it delivered. Taste of spicy tuna roll was average. I was so excited to read the reviews below. I ordered the ginger salad and it was swimming in dressing. I ordered the chicken gyozo and when I got home I saw that they didn't include a dipping sauce. The first one I ate had a piece of gristle in it. Finally the sushi - I got salmon with avocado. It was a generous portion. I think they were using 2nd cut pieces of salmon - or something - some of it was very chewy.
