Fatburger! What else can I say? I mean really the name explains it all. We love eating at Fatburger when we can since we don't have one in Bakersfield. So, the next best thing is one we can stop at any time we are headed back home or towards the LA area. The burgers are super tasty and they make them just like you want them. Burger coma everytime I eat here. I do not have the biggest appetite but I always get a large fatburger. It's the only meal I'll have all day and can't finish it even after attempting to eat the leftovers later. Not as good as five guys imo but the patties are fat and juicy. Staff is left to be desired. Kinda clueless acne filled teenagers. I dont eat meat, but my partner likes their burgers. They are all cooked to well done. I had the turky burger and I didnt like it. The Impossible burger is available here. It is a new meat alternative and it was excellent. They don't have vegan cheese but this is a great first step. Honestly, if I didn't know what it was I would have thought it was hamburger. Even my meatasaurus husband thought it was great. read more

The Food is very tasty the service also nice and polite, that is why so hard to give a bad review to this place but the place is so so dirty that I couldn't eat my yummy hamburger happy just by looking of the napkin dispenser so dusty and were they have the the ketchup and tensile so dusty and floor is like they don't sweep all day or wait until end of the day to sweep it was so dirty and dusty. I couldn't understand why so many people were eating in there car. If I new I should've do the same thing. I could enjoy my food and plus I have my babies with me and there high chair was so discussing that I end up holding my baby. Great burgers and really good milk shakes.

Fatburger has been my favorite since the 70's. But i will never go to this location again. The burger patties were over cooked and hard. But the kids and I were so hungry after the pool that didn't complain until the end. I showed the hard patties to the cashier and he offered a refund. He also brought it to the head person's attention who promptly looked at my kids direction with a smirk on his face. When I asked him to come over so I can have a word, he said he was busy fixing burgers. Bad service, bad attitude and bad food. read more

I am following this up to a review I placed to there headquarters about a year ago, I had a terrible experience at this location with my bacon and egg sandwich to which I assume the owner of this location called me and said she would send me complimentary coupons to use. How is this place still leasing space here and for that matter, in business? (The rent must be insane) The burger market might be the most aggressive, crowed and competitive in all of food ( next to Mexican) and yet this place still has the balls to charge what they do... as compared to some of the others that have entered the market? Habit might be the top or near the top and then there is newbie, Hook Burger, which is on par price wise, but a much better burger and dining experience than this place. Unless you're starving and hard up for some beef and don't want to drive down to either In and Out, Habit or Hook, or even Five Guys... hell, Wendy's is equally as good as Fat Burger. Don't get me wrong, Fat Burger is okay, BUT not great -- it doesn't suck either, I do like their skinny fries, but price point wise, this place just doesn't compare (and compete) in my humble opinion. I have lived up the hill from this place for many years now, and maybe have eaten here six times. Six! Food was good. Like I remember. Getting the food was another story. Ordered 3 burgers, 2 fries, and 3 soda's. One burger with added bacon. Order came, missing 1 burger and fires. To the ladies credit, she did offer them for free since the guy taking the order messed up. I paid for them as anyone could make a mistake. Then, we noticed the bacon was missing but was paid for. No harm as it was replaced. I would have given 4 stars however 3 missed items out of 9 is too much to let go. read more

What i was really looking for was a Dennys but i took the wrong exit and we ended up in this small shopping center. I had a long drive home and i didn't want to waste my time getting back on the freeway to get to Dennys so I convinced my son to have burgers for lunch. When we got there there was no one so we placed our orders and sat down on their bar tables. The place looked cleaned and i had high expectations. I ordered a medium plain cheeseburger for my son and a large plain hamburger for me. The food came out about 10 mins later and when i took the first bite the patty was really salty. My son said his was good so I decided to just eat mine despite the extra salt. Midway down the burger i saw a chunk of red meat on my patty and that was it for me. I cannot stand the sight of red meat... my meat needs to be completely cooked... nothing rare, nothing medium-well... cooked, cooked, cooked! I had more fries than i really wanted to eat but my son seemed happy with his food so i didn't complaint. The place got slammed right when we were leaving so i guess they're doing something right. This place is a joke of an establishment avoid it like the plague. I first went to this location right when they opened back in 2012. Excited to have a fat burger in town I bit into my burger and almost threw up because the insides were completely raw and when I put the burger back into my tray blood ran out and soaked my fries. I showed the manager working and he wrote on a fat burger card stating I could come back anytime and receive a free burger at no cost because of my awful experience. Well today I finally overcame my fears of that awful bloody burger from back in 2012 and since I was in the same parking lot decided to go back and try it again. I go ahead and order my free burger and a few other sides and when I give the card to the worker behind the counter he said he has to get the approval from his manager. No problem I told him. He grabs his manager which is the angry Asian women and she comes up to me and without asking me any questions blurts out "This is not from our location! This is not our store!" Even the man working behind the cash register was surprised by how she was acting and defended me saying "Yes it is look at the front it says Valencia". She then asked when and how I received the card and I then explained the situation with the raw burger from when they opened. She then blurts out again "We do not serve raw meat here!" Now I'm just confused at this point because this is totally bizarre. I reply "Well at one point you did because that is how I got this card." She then says well her initials were not on the card and therefore the card isn't valid. So that is my experience with this awful place of business. I would never return even if they gave me a VIP membership card that could be redeemed for free burgers every time I went. read more

I wish I could review the food separate from service. The food is fantastic! Huge burgers and tons of fries. They rival Five Guys and In N Out. It's a little pricy. It was $24 for two burger meals. The service wasn't good at all. The girl behind the counter wasn't friendly. My husband asked the person handing the order out if we could have extra napkins for the car and he told us they were already in the bag. We said thanks but can we have a few more for the car? He just stood there looking inconvenienced then got us more. On the way out, I held the door open for the worker that was running food to the customers outside. He was on his way back in and didn't grab the door, say thank you or even smile. The food may be as good as In N out and Five Guys, but the service is no where even close the friendless at the other two. The employees that opened this store this morning were very inept. I placed an order for 2 burgers, one of the regular ones and a thousand island burger. I asked for no pickles or relish because the girl at the counter said they come with everything on the placard, but I could customize it. On the order there were bullets for pickles and relish. I assumed that meant those ingredients were excluded. I suppose I should have been suspicious when the girl asked me astonished if I wanted cheese on the burger. When I received the order, the burger I got had a bun, the patty and nothing else but pickles and relish. Either she or the cook is an idiot, because it is normal practice to only list ingredients on the order if you want them excluded or added. One would think that the first customers of the day would not have any mess ups on their order because the employees are fresh and on their game. I expected more than minimum effort, minimum wage workers at a fat burger. read more

I can't express myself any other way but the words disgustingly disappointing. This place was and is not deserving of a grade A. After not eating at a Fatburger place over 15 year's, I thought I'd be able to enjoy what I savored in my mouth over 15 year's ago. I just moved back to California, my home state and well, I wanted to visit and enjoy many of So Cal burger joints. But, this one here....yuck! After placing our order and sat down and started eating my boyfriend saw a rat, not a mouse, a rat run in thru the wide open door and run out. I turned around to see and I didn't see the rat right away but sure enough it snuck out of the bushes towards the door but continued walking away . At this point we started looking around the restraunt and began to notice more than we wanted. From the salt and pepper shakers, the drink fountain, the lid holder, the ketchup dispenser, the counter, the pictures, the overhead of the grill. I mean, the place looked as if it had not been cleaned in weeks. Im sorry but this was way too much and as i said, way too disgustingly disappointed. I will never go to this location. I will promise myself if i ever go to any burger joint i will look around first, even if the location has a grade A. Overly priced, the burger was loaded with mustard, no flavor whatsoever, fries from the freezer. Food sucks. Go to In n Out better.
