I had heard for days that the burgers at Fat Patty's were absolutely divine. Naturally, I ignored that advice completely and ordered a pizza while sitting at the bar. The pizza was surprisingly decent, and I have to say it arrived at lightning speed. When I say it was ready in minutes, I mean MINUTES. If there had been a stopwatch involved, I suspect the pizza would have won. The highlight of the visit was Anthony, who was tending bar. He was an absolute gem. Friendly, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. The conversation alone made the stop worthwhile, and I would gladly come back just to sit at the bar and chat with him again. The sweet tea was fantastic, which, from what I've learned while visiting Kentucky, is a fairly serious category of competition. For dessert, I had a warm cinnamon pretzel topped with ice cream, and it was outstanding. If you're debating whether to order dessert, stop debating and just do it. One thing I've noticed about restaurants in Kentucky is that they appear to believe air conditioning is both a utility and a competitive sport. If you're visiting from out of town, consider bringing a sweater or dressing in layers. The dining room was cool enough that I briefly wondered whether I should have ordered hot chocolate. Will I be back? Maybe. If I return, I'll probably do the sensible thing and try one of the burgers that everyone keeps raving about. Until then, Fat Patty's gets credit for great service, excellent sweet tea, a fantastic dessert, and for reminding me that sometimes the best part of a meal is the people you meet along the way. read more

We went late on Friday 7/3 to watch Colombia vs Ghana. We were in a smaller town close by..thought the place would be hopping but with school out the place was empty! Seems they had an all day festival starting with a 5k , that we missed, and everyone had just left. We sat at the bar front&center to the TV and still had to raise our handwork service. Ordered fried pickles and cheese sticks. They came luke warm. they were probably made earlier for the crowd and didn't get sold bc they were not freshly fried that is for sure. we had lunch here with family from out of town. it was the single worst dining experience we have had. we were seated with menus and waited over 40 mins. my husband went inside , themanager came out and instead of taking our order said she would send out " whoever's turn it was!!! the waiter came out and took our order,he was nice. however it took him 20 mins to bring our drinks! 0ne and a half hours later our food came out. the chicken wings were dry and over cooked., the burger was so rare it almost walked off the plate. 2 burgers one overcooked and one under cooked. No bill brought, had to chase the waiter down, I could see him messing around in the kitchen. we also had asked for a cup of water for the dog which we. ever received. two and a half hours for lunch, give me a break. read more

Service was terrible! It took 12 minutes to get waited on after being seated. We ordered an appetizer but didn't see our waitress again for another 18 minutes. When she came to take our order she told us "heads up" the table beside us ordered an appetizer and it took over 20 minutes to get. We placed our order and our waitress gave us chips to eat since our food was taking so long. We finally received our appetizer after 29 minutes. At this time we were the only table this waitress was waiting on. We ordered the potato boats. They were warm and zero seasoning. We arrived at 6:00 and did not receive our food until 7:17. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, 10 bone-in (mild) wings and a side of fries. All of the food was incredibly under-seasoned and served warm, not hot. If we were to dine at Fat Patty's again it most certainly would not be with this location. read more

There are limited choices in Morehead for a sports bar but Fat Patty's fits the bill. While they seem to be a burger spot, the wings are not to be missed. Great choice and the fries are some of the jest I've had anywhere. The atomic sauce is their hottest sauce but don't be scared. It's a slightly spicy chipotle style sauce and was great! Service at the bar was about average but good above average! I'd suggest trying to add some additional local beers to their limited beer menu. read more

The fried green tomatoes are a must try! Crispy and full of flavor. The pepper jelly that accompanies them is delish! The fried pickles were yummy. The black and blue burger is a must as well! Stopped here on the way to Ft Knox to visit family. We were seated by Aubrey who was on her second day of work. Because of the air ducts in the ceiling, it was blowing cold air directly on us. We asked to move to a better seat by the window. Perfect! My husband ordered the smaller cheeseburger patty (think smash burger) with standard fries. I ordered the Fat Italian w/o lettuce and upgraded the side to the French Onion Soup (FOS). Pictures are provided. Cara was training Aubrey and she was extremely attentive, they both were. Cara asked if I wanted some Italian dressing on the side for the sandwich which I replied yes. The food was delicious. Although I've had better FOS, this soup had a nice taste and wasn't just a beef broth taste. Cara sent us on our way with drinks to go. It was a good experience all the way around. read more

Terrible wait service, I did not even have the chance to eat here!! The restaurant was probably 50-75% full when we walked in, but we had to wait approximately 10 minutes for someone to come to the hostess stand. The hostess was snippy from the start, and told us there would be a 20-30 minute wait to seat a party of 2. I pointed to 3 empty tables and asked if we could sit there, but the hostess insisted there were several parties ahead of us in line. There was not a soul standing inside or outside the restaurant waiting to be seated. The hostess also didn't even bother to ask for our names to put us on the list, just folded her hands across the hostess stand as if waiting for us to leave. As this exchange was occurring, another party came in behind us, heard how the hostess was choosing to communicate, and walked right out with us. Fat Patty's needs to fix the attitude of their employees or hire nicer ones that don't lie and turn away customers. read more
