First time here but not first time for this pizza. Followed the food truck before this location and they never cease to amaze Me. Great service, cute shop and just great pizza.

Found a small slice shop near on Jetton St near Harris Teeter. There are two 2-seat tables inside a couple tables along the sidewalk patio outside. Parallel parking is available though most people were getting slices or whole pies to go. We ordered at the counter and our slices were brought to us a few minutes later. I liked the white pizza and the upside down slice was pretty good. The pinwheels were tasty. My son enjoyed his ham slice. I also tried an arancini which was not to my liking. Overall if you're looking for a slice near the Circles check out Fat Guys.

Great pizza!! The upside down pizza was delicious, and so were the pinwheel, chicken roll and sausage and pepper rolls !! The pizza was ordered well done and it was best Sicilian style slice I've had in NC. The inside is small but they have a few tables outside if you want to eat there.

This is a neighborhood, no frills, good quality, NY style pizza. Dough is great, good flavor, no lame flop. The cheese is the right cheese and the sauce is just right. Service was fast and kind. I live in the city, but would happily go a little out of my way to grab a pie or a slice when I'm up north.

Our server was also really nice, but it did take us a while to refill our drinks. We were pretty much done eating when he came back around. The food was good, but for what you're paying you don't get a lot of food. I expect bigger portions from Americanized Italian restaurants. I loved the flavor of the white truffle garlic bread but it was a little too hard like it was overcooked. The meatballs were pretty good and had a nice ricotta on it. I absolutely loved the seared scallops though. It paired well with the butternut squash risotto, but then fish definitely could've used more risotto.

Great food, great atmosphere... VERY slow service!!…read more We went twice this week (lunch and dinner). Seated promptly for lunch with a light crowd, but waited a long time for food. It's not ideal if you're on a schedule. We gave it another try Saturday night. There was a 45-minute wait (as expected), so we grabbed drinks and walked through Birkdale's social district. Once seated, it took 25-30 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. Our server was attentive, so it must have been the kitchen. We loved the food and vibe, but after two slow experiences, we likely won't return. If they speed things up, this could easily be a top spot at Birkdale. BTW... they encourage speaking with management. We didn't since it was so busy and we didn't want to wait... but it looks like they do read reviews.

Veni Vidi Vici…read more Corner Crust in Cornelius absolutely conquered our pizza night. If you're near Lake Norman, Corner Crust in Cornelius, NC is the real deal. This spot is putting out seriously great New York-style pizza and wings. We even caught the owner -- one serious pizza aficionado. He's actually a New Yorker (well, Long Island, but close enough), which explains a lot about the authentic pies coming out of the kitchen. We tried the Hawaiian pizza and it was incredible. The sweet juicy pineapple paired perfectly with salty ham, crispy bacon, and gooey cheese on their excellent crust. We added spicy large jalapeños on top, and they delivered a solid, fresh heat that elevated the whole pie -- the sweetness, smokiness from the bacon, and spices heat played off each other beautifully. Every bite was a flavor explosion. The wings were just as outstanding. Super crispy on the outside with that perfect clean snap when you bite in, releasing tender, juicy meat inside. Packed with flavor and cooked exactly right. Easily some of the best wings in the Lake Norman area, yeah I went there........The owner told me his secret recipe and technique, but I have been sworn to secrecy..... I can say that he buys his wings free range, no steroids and you can tell the difference in every bite. Coming in on the high side at $1.80is per wing, but I ask you this - how much would you pay for perfection? Local craft beer, yes please. You can use the Untapped App to check out his selection of the finest local craft beers on tap. Great portions, giant slices, laid-back vibe, and friendly service rounded out a fantastic meal. Whether you're going classic or adventurous with the Hawaiian (highly recommend adding bacon and jalapeños), Corner Crust delivers. We'll definitely be back soon! Food Truck Village…read more I hit the back button and it did that thing where it deleted whatever it wanted and it was going to be Trick Village. Would that have driven more or less business? As it stands right now, Food Truck Village is a cool place. It has the potential to be a future tourist destination. Take out the car wash and add a Central Focus--an oversized ice cream truck with universal music. Rework the parking and build walkways through the village and you have yourself a tourist destination. Make sure there are separate paths to each food truck so one truck doesn't get all the first foot traffic. Add a colorful sign with a simple map. All food trucks would benefit immensely. For Mike's Pizza, very good pizza and the owner is friendly. It always feels good to support privately-owned shops. The six-slice pizza is $14 before tax and it takes a while but it's fresh and worth the wait. Definitely recommended. I didn't know where to park since there are no lines and my son (also shown in the pictures) told me I couldn't just park anywhere. Nobody else there so no big deal. You can do the same, but I don't recommend parking in the car wash or in the tent. We shall return to Food Truck Village! Perhaps they can add one more truck for now: Big Truck from Coal Chamber.

They do not take reservations, so you have to get there to get on list. Today happened to be a perfect Tuesday evening to go; there was no wait. The waitress wasted no time to come over and share all the appetizer and main course specials. She did a great job explaining the dishes and answering any concerns. If she wasnt sure, she made sure to get clarification with any substitutions. Everything we had was very good. Each item was either fresh or well seasoned. After an amazing dinner, we were offered the dessert menu. We all were full but the waitress reminded us that we would get a complimentary teramisu or cannoli for my aunts birthday. We picked the tiramisu. Which was amazing. The ambiance is very warm with low-light dining. Will definitely be returning for special occasions or if company comes to town. See you again Antico

This was more palatable however, my husband says it's definitely not one of the best that he's had.. I server was nice and attentive when getting us the drinks, however, they did not check on the food quality once. But towards the end of the meal as my son and I were not touching our food, they asked us if we wanted boxes to go - it was quite obvious. They were trying to do this to free up the table. However, my partner was still working on their dish As we left the restaurant, it was surprising the line of people waiting outside for a table, I hope they had a better experience. The ambience inside felt OK, but it was nothing extraordinary, however, the weight staff all had professional looking uniform.

The…read moreshopping center offers free parking, but I walked over there from the hotel where I was staying. I was warmly greeted when I entered the restaurant. I was seated facing the kitchen in a booth. I just loved the decor with the bricks, open kitchen, and warehouse ceiling. The wood, beams and bricks were reclaimed materials from Manhattan, adds old world charm. The Easter decorations were a nice touch. My amazing waitress created me a mocktail with ginger beer and cranberry. It was colorful and wonderful. It had some tang to it. The Italian restaurant has Neopolitan pizzas and Italian dishes. It was so hard deciding what to select from the menu. If I hadn't just had shrimp, the shrimp scampi would have been what I ordered. Then there was a lasagna with a bechamel sauce I really wanted. But the pizza won out. My waitress talked me into the salad I was debating, too. The salad was Dolce Crostata. It has mixed lettuce, goat cheese, pancetta, candied pecans and golden raisins. I like the salads with fruit, and this one was wonderful. Novanta means 90 in Italian, which is the 90 seconds it takes to cook the pizza. It goes into the 900-degree Italian wood-fired oven. The pizza was a true Neapolitan with the soft, airy crust and a little bit of char on it. It tasted as good as it looked. I wanted a second pizza after my first slice, but I had trouble finishing the first and had to take half of the salad to go. I did love every bite of the margherita pizza and salad. If I lived closer, I'd eat here weekly as the food is that good. This is a hidden gem.

This is a large restaurant with a great open layout, which makes it perfect for big groups and families. The outdoor seating area is especially nice, with comfortable chairs and a relaxed atmosphere where people can sit and enjoy themselves without feeling rushed. Inside, the place has a modern warehouse-style feel with brick, wood, and open kitchen views. You can actually see the pizza ovens working, which is always a good sign. The dining room has energy without feeling chaotic, and the sanitation rating posted up front was a solid A (96.0), which always gives you a little extra peace of mind. Our server Jessica was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. We started with the meatballs and burrata crostini. I couldn't eat the burrata because of the dairy, but the meatballs were outstanding--very meaty, rich flavor and a terrific tomato sauce. A great start to the meal. My wife had the house salad, which looked very fresh. Mixed greens, tomatoes, and peas--simple but well done. She skipped the onions, which they handled without any issue. For the main course, she ordered the Marinara pizza, and it was excellent. The sauce had great flavor and the pizza had that classic Neapolitan look--thin center, charred edges, and simple ingredients done right. She enjoyed the whole thing. I had the calzone and paired it with a local beer, "What He's Having" IPA from Wooden Robot Brewing in Charlotte, which was a great choice. The calzone itself tasted very good, but it was a little uneven on the filling. I ordered double pepperoni, and one side had most of it while the other side had very little. That said, the crust and flavor were still very enjoyable. Overall, everything was very good. The atmosphere is lively, the food is flavorful, and it's a great spot if you're dining with a group or family. Bottom line: Novanta is a fun, energetic Italian spot with solid Neapolitan-style pizza, a welcoming environment, and good service. Definitely worth a visit.
