He (a veteran so I was happy to support him!) responded, booked and got to my place quickly after 1st contact. He was respectful and diagnosed the issue quickly, thought it was another issue but when he came back to install and pulled the washer completely out, he realized it wasn't the issue & had the parts to put swap out some little motor which he said "This will be cheaper" and I always respect service providers who are honest. He could have easily installed the valves he originally thought the issue was and charged me for that AND told me about the other issue and fixed that and charged me more BUT he was honest and saved me some $ and fixed the issue!! I will always call him in the future!! He also helped to clean out the dryer vent as much as he could and recommended Firemen Dryer Man to clean out the rest - love that business and happy to give them my business.

Fast and professional service. I had a leak in my washing machine and he checked everything in detail and did several test washes. Now I have a piece of mind and with his advice I haven't gotten any leaks since. He did a great job explaining what he was doing and looked prepared with all of his tools. The inspection fee is the same as everyone else which is $85 and can be applied to labor if you want to fix it through them. I will definitely include them as my list of goto repairs for appliances. I was not impressed with Appliance Express. I contacted them because my 3 year old Whirlpool oven…read more(that was in the house when I bought it) kept randomly losing power. I wasn't sure if it was an electrical issue in the house or a problem with the oven, but I started with the appliance. I made an appointment with Appliance Express--they couldn't tell me until the day before what time they'd come out, so I had to allocate the entire day to stay home. The day before they texted me with a time range, so narrowed it a bit. On the day of the appointment the repair guy called me when he was on his way, which was helpful. The repair guy was very nice but didn't strike me as being terribly knowledgeable about our particular oven. However, he suggested that it needed a software update (which required first connecting the oven to our WiFi). He gave me a phone number to Whirlpool support who could assist in connecting the oven to our WiFi and downloading the update. He barely touched the oven, other than to look at the current software version on the display. But for that helpful little piece of advice about needing a software update I was charged $162.36 by Appliance Express. They could have just told me over the phone, before someone ever came out, to try that solution first. I got the oven connected to our WiFi (I'm a retired IT guy and am very intentionally judicious about what I connect to our home network as I'm very aware of the security and performance/bandwidth implications of connecting devices willy-nilly). Once connected, I had trouble getting the update to install. The repair guy watched for a little while and then left. I called the Whirlpool number and they were very helpful in getting it sorted out (it turned out there was something they had to initiate on their end). After the software update I have had no problems with the appliance (other than I think it's stupid that an oven requires Internet connectivity and software updates to function). So, in the end Appliance Express identified the likely problem so that I was able to take care of it myself, but they charged me $162.36 for that little nugget of information. They could have just suggested over the phone that I try that first before they came out.

I've lived in my condo for more than 20 years and have never had my dryer vent cleaned. I'm getting ready to embark on some remodeling work in my laundry closet and decided that it was time to freshen up the infrastructure to be ready for the fresher look of the space. I did some research and Nick came up as a top-notch option on both Yelp and Google. That says a lot - to have consistently great reviews, over time, across both review platforms. He was pleasant to connect with to schedule the job and he was clear about pricing in advance. He showed up within the appointment window and quickly got to work. He kept me informed of his progress along the way - offering tips and tricks for things for me to consider. He was honest about what would or wouldn't be worthwhile in terms of my investment and showed me the difference of his work for the dryer vent cleaning. This was outstanding value for his impact from my perspective. And he even was friendly and allowed my Dad to ask questions to him while he worked. All in all, Nick is now MY washer and dryer guy for any needs I have in the future...and the reality is he should be yours, too!
