We started regretting it, after an hour of sitting in the car bay with multiple employees apologizing for the wait, and making small talk with us, we smiled and said no problem. Sharlee was the girl, definitely cannot call her a tech of any kind, that did the tire rotation...‍ we knew we were screwed when she walked up to our window and said, "I'm sorry", holding not ONE but TWO stripped out lugs. FROM THE SAME TIRE! I get that we cannot expect actual mechanics working at a drive through oil place, but at least have competent individuals that don't look like their lunch hour was spent swinging from trees while picking fleas off eachother! Anyway, let's keep this circus going by telling us not to worry, we are sending you to our mechanic down the road called "R" CAR. Go see Juan she said. He knows your coming, and we are covering it entirely. Well one thing this Sharlee girl knows how to do is LIE. She is a master at that. This guy Juan had no idea we were coming, nor any intentions on not charging us. Which essentially was probably for the better since he had several people waiting to deal with him over cars that he messed up. Don't believe me? A few hundred dollars and an hour and a half later we were on our way up the mountain. Safely. I called to speak with customer care at Valvoline and got nowhere. So I'm moving on to The Better Business Bureau and small claims, oh and maybe a Tik Tok video I can attempt to go viral. At this point I don't even care. But feel they should pay the $400 out of pocket that we did not plan on when deciding to go to Valvoline for an oil change!

That being said, I never had a good experience with any tire shops prior. Either they don't care or they hate their jobs. The manager Randy, certainly loves his job. Super knowledgeable, and honest. 2 tire balances, a road force balance, a test drive, over the course of 4 appointments and I was finding myself a little annoyed at the situation. The tires were found to be defective, and there was no hesitation to rectify the situation. Tires were ordered, claims on warranty were presumably made, and new tires installed right away. Although a shop like this charges slightly more than others, it's because they incorporate road hazard insurance, balancing and rotations into the cost. I'm glad I purchased my tires from them, and I recommend for anyone looking for a no hassle no headache experience, and included support on tire maintenance. Special thanks to Randy. Today is a case in point: we went there today fully intending to buy a new full set of tires because they have over 30k miles on them and one had sprung a leak last night on a long trip home. Randy (I assume the manager) told us the tires still had plenty of wear left, and replaced the leaky tire free of charge! We could have easily spent up to $2000, but instead the good people at Les Schwab stood behind their product and kept us on the road at no cost to us! There is no better place for tires!

My wife picks up the van and was driving for two weeks and I looked at the tires and they were the old ones. They charged me to replace and for tires but never installed them. After some back and forth the made it right. Fast forward a few years I decided to trust pep boys again and go to the yucaipa store for my son's vintage car. We had work done on the sending unit on our gas tank. We got the car back and went to gas up and gas is pouring out from under the car. Took it back immediately and dealt with Kenneth the store manager and he was very argumentative about the whole situation. I was concerned because this is the second time pep boys sent me home with an unsafe car. After arguing with us the did repair the leak. The newest experience is when my son's spare is leaking. We took it in and they gave him a hard time about it. He was mad and reminded them of the previous issues we have had and how Kenneth was responsible for letting unsafe work leave his shop. We had to go back the next morning and we talked with Kenneth. After some arguing he took our tire in back to see what's up, he calls us into the service area. Shows us a leak at the bead and says it is our fault the tire is leaking. I stated it was shoddy repair work and the tech did not clean the rim and seal the bead properly. He had an attitude said he could fix it but won't because we got pissed off. Gets in my face makes threats about if I were to touch him he waste me or something like that. Proceeds to cuss at me. This was my second visit, and man are they quick and professional. I originally was going to only…read morego in for an oil change, but realized that I needed a brake fluid flush and spark plug replacement as well for my 2015 Honda Civix LX so I said eff it, I'll get it all. Moe helped me as I went to the front desk and asked what I needed. I told him what I needed to get done and he said they were able to do all of it and told me to take a seat. After a few minutes, he came back in with a price and told me $550 for all of it! Honestly, I was expecting it to be more expensive so I was relieved when I heard the price. After waiting for about 1 hour, my car was finished! He went over everything they had completed, let me know the next time I need to come back for an oil change and all the other maintenance stuff, and told me they had cleaned my engine bay! Now that was the cherry on top. Would defiantly come back here for any of my car needs when I am in the area!
