Called this place today to smog my 84 VW. He said "come in in the late afternoon." Great! I thought. Got there just before 4, and he came up to my car with no mask, just so close, to tell me I was too late. They had over an hour before they closed, I got there in the vague time frame he requested, and some how... I was too late? The lot was empty. There were no other people waiting, and this place is not very close to where I live so it was a bit of a drive to get there. Seems to me like he was just enjoying a slow day and couldn't be bothered. Refuse to come back. I recommend you don't try. Good luck there guy. read more

There are better options right down the street. Me and my wife had a horrible experience here. First they were more expensive than others in the area and seemed like they over charged my wife when she went in for the smog. Then we had an issue of damage to our vehicle while in their care to which they told me to "F**K' off." I suggest staying away, if something goes wrong they will likely treat you the same. THIS GUY IS AMAZING! If you are looking for a place to get a smog check, look no further. This guy is the best! I have a Pontiac Grand AM GT and all the alert lights were on and I was in desperate need to get a smog. I live in San Diego but was out in Yucaipa visiting my mom, and my car had failed the smog test at one of my local shops. The Smog and Save guy advised me to have the mechanic next to his shop look at my car. The two of them discussed my car like it was their patient in an auto hospital. Finally, after a day of driving the car tog et the lights to go off one by one, and knowing just when to hook up my vehicle, it passed! Then about 6 months later I took my car to the mechanic next door, and the Smog and Save guy remembered me and was super friendly! The owner of Smog and Save is hard-working, honest, and cares about his customers. In fact, I like him so much, that when I need my next smog check, I will coordinate a visit with my mom so he can work his magic again. read more

When I go to a business, I would expect them to be up front about hours of operation. This place is "sometimes" open on Saturdays, but if you go to their business, they don't say anything like this on their sign outside their business. The gentleman working that off Saturday I came (as weekends are the only free time) was very polite, so I can appreciate that. The unfortunate thing was my car failed the smog test as I had just recently had my car serviced for an issue that I knew would make me fail the Smog Test. I figured I had drove the car enough after the service to not make it fail, but the Gentleman doing the test said this was not the case. He suggested that I drive my car about 75 miles and then come back in if my check engine light didn't come back on and it should be okay. I was charged for the Smog Test which I was unhappy about but figured in the end it was fair as he did the full on test. So, about 2 weeks later, I came back there to find that the place was close on that particular Saturday. This I knew could be a possibility so I went to Yucaipa Smog. The Gentleman here helped me with my car and told me the same thing as the Gentleman at Smog and Save. I got pretty emotional and told the person at Yucaipa Smog that I had driven my car about 125 miles since the failed smog test, so how could this be? The Gentleman at Yucaipa Smog asked if I had driven under 55 mph and I looked at him and said no. I told him that the guy at Smog and Save had not told me to drive under 55 mph and the guy at Yucaipa Smog said yeah, this is what you have to do. I was pissed, how could the guy at Smog and Save leave this MAJOR detail out to me? Luckily for me the guy at Yucaipa Smog didn't charge me for the retest. Unlike the Gentleman at Smog and Save, the guy at Yucaipa Smog stated that it may not be enough to drive, that it make be something more. At Yucaipa Smog, he told me to try to drive the car 75 or more miles more and come back for another check. If this didn't do it, he'd try to help me find the problem. Why didn't the guy at Smog and Save offer me this? Won't be going to Smog and Save again, Yucaipa Smog is the place I will be going to from now on. Yucaipa Smog is open Saturdays until 5 PM. Talk about convince. Smog and Save could learn a thing or two from Yucaipa Smog. read more

Best smog check ever. Pulled up at 8:03 AM on Saturday morning. They were just opening...garage door still closed. The guy took my car keys and I walked across parking lot to 7-11 for cup of coffee. By the the time I got back he was already finished. "Good news, you passed!" Paid 60 dollars & literally drove off at 8:18 AM. Going here next time for sure. Great service. read more

I have found my go-to Smog Shop in town! Fast, Friendly, Convenient, and Affordable! I needed my 2011 Ford Escape Smogged, and he was able to get it done for me very quick and very affordable! I got to the shop at 3:04 pm on a Wednesday, and was out by 3:28 pm. The total for the smog was $60, and he was able to accept my Chip Credit Card with no problems! Best place to take your diesel!!! You can tell a lot about a mechanic/technician by their house-keeping. This shop is clean and there's no fear of catching lice from the furniture because the waiting room is nice and clean! It is air conditioned and has a water cooler. The technician is very professional. I don't know if this is the cheapest place in town but it's the best! I take all my diesels here. read more

There are two males that work at this location. The older one which i was told is the owner is very rude. Does not answer your questions and is very short with the customers when dealing with them. I have 3 yrucks that have to be smoged been going there for years i will not be back because of him. The younger guy is friendly helpful and will answer all your questions thats why i kept going back. I fell sorry for the younger guy. There are losing by whole family which is 8 vechicles read more
