So...we had a back yard tree that had a trunk that leaned out over the neighbor's low iron fence…read more If it ever fell, it would take out that iron fence that was owned by the neighbor. It would be my responsibility to pay for her fence as well as remove the fallen tree. The more I looked at it, the more anxious I got. When the wind kicks up, it can come whistling through the back yard and puts a lot of stress on everything. Yelp Reviews: I decided to go with the tree service that had all 5 Star reviews. Duane came over and had a look and decided it should be removed and gave me a quote. Removal Day: About a week later the crew showed up at 7am and went to work. Duane was there to supervise. Before I knew it the tree was down, cut to pieces and out of sight. This sort of tree had a reputation for being hard to kill. So they spent quite some time grinding the stump to prevent regrowth. The area was cleaned, and there was no sign of a tree ever having been there. So I agree with the other reviews. 5 Stars. While the crew was cleaning up, Duane spent some time with me and looked at a couple of other trees that I was worried about. I learned quite a bit from him and was glad that he shared some of his expertise with me.

We needed two of our older trees trimmed, which hadn't been done in 14 years. Not only did they do a quick job but they were very diligent in cleaning up the whole front yard afterwards. They even put rocks back instead of picking them up with the debris and throwing them away. When we noticed one of our large pine trees in our backyard was dead, we called on Henrie Tree Service again. They came out for a quote and the team, lead by Austin, was out the next week. Not only did they quickly and efficiently clear out the tree, but they cleaned up the area and even made sure the neighbors behind us had no remaining debris. I will call them for any other Tree needs that I have and I highly recommend their service.

I contacted this company through Yelp to remove a single palm tree from my front yard. The owner,…read moreEzra, messaged me quickly with a quote that seemed reasonable. I asked for a copy of his WC insurance informantion and he provided that promptly. He wanted my address which I sent to him and said that the soonest he would be able to come by would be the following day. He went on to say that I would hear from another individual to schedule the job. After my text messages with him I discussed with my wife as we had previously agreed to remove the tree. When I told her that we were on for having it removed, she decided that she wanted to wait. Ok, I said. I figured I would hear from the scheduler and tell them the job was off. We live in a gated community and the next morning, around 9am, I receive a notification that a contractor had entered the community for our house. We were supposed to have another contractor there that day so I thought it was them. I was in my garage and my wife comes out to and says there's a big truck pulling into the driveway. The other contractor doesn't have a big truck, so something was not right. I opened the garage and parked in the driveway is the crew from Red Gator! I was pretty suprised to see them since I never actually scheduled with them. The main guy greets meet and says they are here to do the job. My response was that we had changed our mind and that I had never scheduled with them. The first thing he asks is "why?". I tell him my wife wanted to wait on the job even though I shouldn't have to provide a response to that question. His next statement is, "well, that's going to be problem. We better call Ezra". I have to be honest, at that point I'm feeling pretty wierd about the whole thing. The driver of the truck is shooting me nasty looks and the guy I'm speaking with, although very polite, seems pretty intent on cutting down the tree. I caved and said "ok, go ahead and cut it down". I asked them NOT to stump grind it so they adjusted the price accordingly. To be fair, the person I was speaking with was also the guy who did the actual cutting. He was efficient and there weren't any issues with the job, per se. When they were done, he rang my doorbell and we inspected the job. I paid them through Zelle and they left. I contacted the owner, Ezra, and conveyed the information to him above. He issued an apology for the scheduler not reaching out to me and said that they had arrived at my doorstep by mistake. I'm not sure how truthful that is but he did offer to cut the bill in half. I did not accept the offer. To be honest, the issue here isn't the money or the tree. It's the interactions between his crew and myself. I would not recommend them.

I was very specific about wanting a landscape that prioritized native plants, and they didn't just meet that goal; they absolutely nailed it. It's now spring, and watching the yard come into bloom has been a complete joy. The trees they hand-picked are gorgeous, and I have these stunning vines with orange blossoms that provide such a beautiful aesthetic. What I love most, though, is how alive the yard feels; I have bees and butterflies coming through daily to visit the native habitat they established. It has become my favorite morning ritual to just sit out here and take it all in. What they've done is honestly life-enhancing. It's one thing to have a "nice yard," but it's another to have a space that feels this vibrant and intentional. I can't thank them enough for their expertise and for giving me a space I truly enjoy walking through every single day. If you're looking for a team that truly understands horticulture and honors the local environment, this is it.
