I'm in a bind, I need to catch a flight out of the country in 2days and still have over 800 miles to travel. They jump on it and tell me I need a new stator and possibly voltage regulator. The mechanic says he'll try to get me on the road a little after noon the following day if he can get the parts. I'm cautiously hopeful. They help me find a motel room nearby and Ross drops me off there. At 12:30 the next day I was on the road and made my flight. This is as good as it gets. Great staff and a great mechanic.

Mark's Auto got us in within minutes after I called. They immediately took it for a test drive, and diagnosed the problem shortly thereafter. Turns out a rear end seal was leaking, causing the truck rear end to slightly lower itself, allowing the heat shield to clang and bang on the drive shaft. They resolved the issue and discovered that the front end 4 wheel drive was not properly activating itself due to a faulty vacuum issue, and they resolved that as well. I was out by 10:00 am and on our way. I want to thank Dan for taking his time to explain the issues so I had full understanding of what was malfunctioning. Can't ask for more than that! When we got home we discovered the air filter was not replaced either- $269 later. Im even questioning if they replaced the oil. First, the cost: The insurance company estimate was crazy low, and I expected to somehow get hit with a bill for overages alongside my super high deductible. Jody and the team revised the estimate to make sure every single thing was it in line and processed it though Geico with absolutely no push back. They even saved me money. Timing: a majority of my work was PDR and glass so while they had a ton of work going on from the several hail storms this summer, they fit me in within the next week. AND they met me to pick up the car, AND they stayed at the shop until 10 pm on a Saturday to wait for me when I came back late from the airport. I've used around 5 bodyshops in the past (welcome to hail season in South Dakota). I know that these guys will be the only shop I use from now on!
