During pregnancy, I was quite the burger connoisseur. I probably ate at least one cheeseburger a week. My sister took me to Fast Eddie's during a visit to Modesto and I must say, damn it was good. It was everything I wanted in a burger and hit that pregnancy craving in the sweetest way. Have been wanting to try this place for a very long time and finally went! I will say that I was really disappointed. The food didn't have wow factor. I got the regular classic cheeseburger and that's literally all it was, nothing else. And it wasn't even the best tasting classic cheeseburger. The fries are solid, unfortunately I wouldn't go back just for solid fries. The interior is funky with a bunch of knickknacks, which doesn't bother me, however, the smell and allergies did. It smells like a thrift store that hasn't been ventilated. Thankfully they have tables outside in which a customer is able to eat at. Food may look good to the eye but if you knew who was cooking your food and how their cooking it, you would never want to eat here again. It's absolutely disgusting what goes on behind the kitchen and nothing is ever truly clean. No one even wears gloves and they don't even think about washing their hands. Multiple people have complained that they've gotten sick here and it's completely understandable because they do not care to touch your food at all either with their nasty hands. I've even seen them reuse food that was taken back and handed it out to a new customer. I would not risk your health for a place that isn't even that good truly. Owner is extremely disrespectful and money hungry. He doesn't care for his customers at all, and spends all the money on pinball instead of making his food/kitchen healthier to people. Food is awesome (I had the buffalo chicken, wife had the '52). It's a great place to hangout if you have plenty of time, as the food takes a little long to come out. Can't rush excellence, though. They also have a really cool collection of pinball machines, but bring extra change because it's a dollar per play. It appears that I've stumbled onto a pinball night here at Fast Eddie's. I've been coming here since about 1970, with a 20 year gap in the 80's-early 2000's. The clients tonight are clearly bowling alley leftovers and Walmart regulars. I'm guessing they'll be shopping at midnight when the pinball has finished. Don't let this scare you. The food here has always been the very best of what a shitty American fast food joint should be. I hope this place outlives me, and I'm happy to have shared this with my children. It is a SHAME that this restaurant isn't booming with business. When I went in I knew for a fact that I was going to get a delicious meal by the decorations. I ordered the '57 moad combo and it was everything I expect a burger to be; Juicy, Crunchy, filled with flavor and most importantly filling. Ok, as a senior I don't go out for fast food...family yes. But they introduced me to Fast Eddie's when their son was playing high school baseball & they would stop there for takeout on the way home. I'm really sorry Eddie wanted to retire and sell MOAB's. I've been going there for the past 55 years. I was never disappointed in any meal I got there, until now. My hamburger was greasy, my bun was soggy from grease and we didn't get what we ordered. How difficult is it to make 4 B52 burgers when two are the same and two don't want tomatoes or onions. We got 3 B52's some kind of double burger, all very greasy. We shall try it once more only because it used to be the BOMB and it's close by. We miss you Eddie. read more

I used to love this place, and I still like it somewhat simply because the menu is more or less the same, but the pre-formed frozen patties have to go. The old patties were occasionally under seasoned but at least they weren't these off tasting hockey pucks. Not only do they look off, being a reddish color like sausage when fully cooked, they don't seem to have a sear or crust either, which makes them even more bland taste and texture wise. They seem to taste like seasoning but have very little beef flavor. Lastly, just the appearance makes me feel like I'm at a barbeque where the host didn't want to make the The menu revolves around burgers, you can't be lazy about the main ingredient of the main item. All I want is the old MOAB special, and I go here because it's one of the few spots that has a burger with green chiles, and they used to taste like the local drug counter/diner burgers of my childhood... but these new pre-formed patties taste strange as they always tend to and ruin the entire experience. The fries are still good, maybe slightly overseasoned but crispy at least. Change the patties and we will return. read more

Use to be a classic place to get a burger. Burgers are good, although they burnt the bun and the bottom part of the bun was wet. I called ahead to speed things up. On hold for 9min when I walked in. Told them they could take the call off of hold and hang up. One of the girls said "there's no one on hold," I showed her my phone. They took the call off of hold. My problem with this place is the last 3 times I have come in the girls at the counter messed up my order, twice giving me the wrong burger. Wow, just Wow! This place has improved 100%. The sandwiches are hella delicious and the fries and rings are really tasty too! We've been getting the 52BFD special "Burger Fry Drink" and have gone several times, not one let down, and I'm a big boy, fills me up.
