I've used these guys twice for early morning rides to the Oakland airport. They a little more expensive that a Lyft/Uber, but they are always on time and will help you with your luggage, whereas that's not always the case with the apps. I would definitely recommend them. read more

My opinion remains the same, they really deserve more than just 5 stars. After a few years, I was desperate in need of more than just a cab ride, a friendly face as I needed to get to ER. As it turned out I had broken my elbow and both bones in my arm connecting it to my wrist. After having such bad experiences when I've taken an ambulance to ER, I waited a full day before I had to resign myself to... it wasn't going to heal on its own and one of the broken arm bones was looking to be punching its way out of my skin. I needed a plan. Though it wasn't easy, I looked up cabs on the internet... and poof! There they still were Fast and Friendly with Abdo's name attached to it! It was after hours but I gave it a shot and they picked up! It wasn't Abdo but his son, Belal who was just as wonderful as his dad and the rest of the family crew had been and haven't used any other since(except couple of times when Covid & other things had them in limbo). It brought me back to life enough back in August to see Abdo's name on their ad and then the above and beyond heart full service I was in need of that night even though the prognosis of my injury would be worse than I knew at the time. And their service has been so exceptional and will always go out of their way to treat you with such kindness especially when they can tell you need more than just a ride but need a warm heart! Abdo was great, he picked me up st 3:45am, and was on time to the minute as he said he would be. This was especially important since I had a brutally early morning flight at oakland airport. He is also a local Oaklander and has stories to prove it. I'll be looking him up again for future rides for sure. read more

Really fast and really friendly! I reserved in advance, and he was right on time, which was a huge relief for me. My only problem was of course the price. Yikes. In theory I support the idea of "real cabs" vs Uber etc, but it's a hard decision to make when money is tight. read more

Woke up this morning with a swollen eyeball. After calling the hospital they told me to have someone take me in just in case, so after some quick searching I gave Fast & Friendly a call. Omar picked me up just a minute off the requested time, got me where I needed to be, and were fast and friendly, yes. Incidentally, he was also the same driver who took me home, arriving about 10 minutes after I placed a call to have someone there as early as possible. I could have taken public transportation to and from, but on a Sunday and with transfers and needing to go to the ER, that is a nightmare and F&F's service made the price difference well worth it. Used Fast & Friendly taxi service for the first time yesterday on Thursday, November 20, 2014 around 4:30 p.m. on a rainy day. Dispatcher said 10-15 minutes. It took 25 minutes. Not bad. Not great. While waiting received 3 calls from TWO different drivers confirming ride request and saying they were on the way. Two drivers? Strange. Taxi arrived 25 minutes after I called. Driver was friendly and didnt make an issue at all that, due to rain, I was only going about 1/4 -1/2 mile to pick up my car at the mechanic. +/-$5.50 fare. I gave him $8. I've been overcharged in the past or miscommunicated with, and they were definitely on time and quick to get to the destination.
