We chose Charity Cab for a ride to SFO from San Ramon and back, and Keith was great! Although there is "cab" in the company name, Charity Cab is a private car service with 2 comfortable cars that Keith owns and operates. This was the second time we had used Keith; the first was an early morning trip to SJC. He's reliable, efficient, friendly and cost-competitive with other private car services. When, like us, you need to get to SFO or SJC reliably, and don't want to drive and park long-term, there's no better option I know of than Charity Cab. Ride share apps are hit and miss, and the last thing you want is to have to wait 45 minutes for a ride. And driving an hour, hunting for a space, and lugging a few large suitcases into and out of an airport parking shuttle that makes a dozen stops before your terminal is a drag. And the last thing you want to do after a long international flight is drive an hour to get home late at night. Keith will accept credit cards, but prefers cash if you have it. I emailed Charity Cab when I was looking for an early morning pick up from Oakland Airport. Keith responded right away with a reasonable flat rate from Oakland to Pleasanton. I'm sure Uber and Lyft would've been surging at 1am so I decided to go with Keith. My flight was delayed. Pick up was fast, efficient and smooth. His van is clean and he helped me with my luggage. I sent him a text the night before to confirm that everything was all good. I dunno though, I may be one of his few early morning rides because he's only one person and he needs sleep. The car service won, and we LOVED not having to drive to the airport, park in long term parking, and deal with getting our luggage to the terminal. Needed a ride to the airport after the National Weather Service cried wolf about some atmospheric river. We usually take bart, but it was late and I had my kids with me. I needed a minivan so i found these guys on Yelp. I sent the owner a text and he got back to me quick with a reasonable quote. As of this writing $55 from Trivalley to OAK. Our driver was prompt and got us right in front our door. Heavy traffic on 580 forced him to try a detour. I forgot his name, but our driver was friendly, but didnt talk so much that your ears hurt. When I moved to Dublin and didn't have a car yet, I used Charity Cab a lot both for neighborhood trips, rides to the airport, and when I needed to be on time at events in San Francisco. Rhett, the owner, is extremely reliable, friendly, and cares about his customers' experience when they take them to their destination. He wants to make sure that his other drivers embody these qualities as well. I like that Charity Cab takes all types of credit cards (no minimum charge), and use Waze, a community-based traffic and navigation app, as their GPS so they know the best route to take to avoid traffic. They are also always accurate when they tell you they'd be there in 10 minutes. They also tell me my ETA at my destination so I know if I'll be there on time. I've tried other cab companies in the area and Charity Cab is the best when it comes to cleanliness, being on time, customer service, and payment options available. read more

Charity Cab is on point with their friendly and outgoing service. One of a kind custom painted fleet and the interiors are spotless as well as fresh and clean smelling. No unpleasant Masala or curry aromas here. Rhett, Joseph, and Keith are all great guys and very welcoming, chill, and make you feel like you've known each other for a while. The rates are economical and your sixthh ride is half off with their business cards which they hole punch after every lift (five punches - one per ride.) The sixth ride with this card is half off and a dollar from all fares gets donated to charity. However, I am not sure which charity/ies they donate to. Charity Cab is reliable and straight up proffesional. They blow out every single other cab company hands down in the entire Tri Valley and bay area period exclamation mark. Other companies which I won't name or call out but are in the tri valley area won't even give my family, girlfriend, or I a lift from Tassajara Blvd to Finnian Way in Dublin because they say their drivers or companies don't make a profit. That is appalling, rude, and quite honestly very unprofessional. I thought being in the Taxi business and providing cab service is to provide the customer with convenient transportation. The other companies fall extremeley short in this basic fundamental - It's common sense. Charity Cab delivers in every aspect of what a Taxi service company is all about. So many great things to say: polite person who answered the phone; I got a prompt, punctual, and personable driver. My driver looked both ways when stopped before proceeding into an intersection (you'd be surprised at the number of near-accidents I've been in due to other companies' drivers inattention), I could use a card instead of cash at no problem, and best yet: I can text with an addresses and time of arrival if it is more convenient for me than calling. Little things that made this company even more great: they donate some of their fare to charity, and I got a frequent-rider punch card for a future discount.
