The Pleasanton Men's Club, along with our wives and significant others, had the pleasure of using Black Tie Transportation for a day trip to San Francisco and Alcatraz Island--and the entire experience was first-class. Owner Bill Wheeler, his wife, and their longtime driver Robert took exceptional care of our group from beginning to end. The bus arrived right on time, was spotless inside and out, and our professionally dressed driver made us feel like VIPs. The beverages were cold and ready, and having a restroom onboard was a huge bonus for our group of 40. Everything ran smoothly and on schedule. The service was friendly and professional, the driving was safe, and the good-natured humor made an already memorable day even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Bill and the entire Black Tie team. They run a first-class operation and deliver exactly what they promise. You truly get what you pay for--and with Black Tie, it's worth every penny! read more

My wife, parents, and I recently used Black Tie Transportation for our ride home from Oakland Airport, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. As soon as we landed, our chauffeur, Daniel, texted us to let us know he was already on site. Since we had checked luggage, he met us at the baggage carousel, helped gather our bags, and escorted us to the curb. Within minutes, Daniel returned with a spotless Lincoln Navigator. He carefully loaded our luggage, made sure everyone was comfortable, and provided a smooth ride back to Pleasanton. Upon arrival, he once again assisted with unloading our bags and helped bring our trip to a perfect conclusion. Daniel's professionalism and excellent customer service made our travel day easy and stress-free. We would gladly use Black Tie Transportation again and highly recommend them to others. read more

in 2022 the owner of this company purchased the home that my child and i lived in. prior to this in 2020 i had full back surgery to remove to tumors from my spine leaving me disabled and to care for a young child alone. given my upbringing which was filled with abuse in all formats cooresponding with a man much bigger in stature and unknown to me a disconnect began. there were men on the property frequently without notice. and even after trying to ask for notice to mentally prepare for these events i was bombarded by the owner of this company and many of his workers. in addition to this many repairs fell to the wayside for long periods of time. leaving our experience as tenants stressful and uncomfortable. one day we were met with huge moving pods and notices that we were to move out our belongings into this pods and they would move them to our next home. we were not given any sort of courtesy prior to make us believe this was true. the owner offered to pay us an amount that totaled exorbanantly less than what the market rate for an apartment in this area would cost. because i was not learned on the time about evictions and these types of perceedings and not wanting to cause any more upset for my young daughter, i moved. the house then sat empty and vacant for many years only being put on the market last summer. and im sure its finally sold. now knowing the laws i would have won because this would be consider a no fault eviction which legally is not allowed. they evicted us under the guise of themselves and their elderly mother moving in. but they never did they sold it for an insane profit and in the process removed one of the liberty trees that had been in pleasanton for many decades! i will no longer be silent and will advocate for myself as this was beyond nefarious and ultimately left my daughter and i to be uprooted from the only place my daughter had known and the place i have called home since 8th grade! if for any other reason my review is left to show the ethical standing of the owners of this company. there are many other limo services with upstanding good people as workers and owners read more

This establishment completely blows. Do not waste your time or money with this outfit; I cannot believe they are still in business. Way back when I was thinking about leaving In-N-Out Burger, their team literally recruited me from the drive-through lane while I was working the handheld. I asked them straight up if I should quit my job at INO, and they said, "Sure, go ahead." Then, they let me go after not even 72 hours. Bill Wheeler Jr. called me into his office and just said "it wasn't working out." Why tell me to quit my stable job if you're going to fire me on day three? I had already spent a ton of my own money on the required chauffeur tuxedo. On top of treating workers like garbage, they are the same company that tried to fight Costco coming into Pleasanton because they were terrified of losing parking. I pass by Black Tie every time I go to Costco now. They still have the exact same fleet lot they had years ago. They are a joke. A former friend of mine worked their switchboard and got the same awful treatment. Avoid this establishment for your transportation needs. Plenty of other companies out there actually know how to run a business. read more

We have been using Black Tie transportation since 1986. We have watched Bill Wheeler, the owner, build his transportation business from one stretch limo to the incredible business it is today. A fleet of first class new BMW's, Mercedes Sprinters, smaller and full size busses. Over all these years we have used Black Tie's service, whether it's to and from the Bay Area airports, trips to San Francisco or Monterey for dinners, all day outings for St Patrick's Day, celebrations on busses for milestone birthdays and even taking us to Idaho (twice) when we moved there in 2021 they remain consistent, professional and reliable. I do not use any other company in the Bay Area because I know I am relying on the very best for my transportation needs. read more

We took Nana (age 88) and her best friend on an Alaska cruise departing from the San Francisco Cruise Pier. Wanted a special start to our Cruise and Black Tie Transportation was exactly what we needed. Prompt at both pick up points, we we're professionally, carefully and...classily...transported to the port. Nana loved the drivers polite and gracious care, from start to finish. Pre arranged pick up is a major time, stress and money reliever. Again, Great Experience all around. read more

Black Tie Transportation was great for our wedding day - professional, reliable, making sure our guests got to, from, and between venues comfortably and on time. We used black tie to plan a day trip to Napa. Once we booked the service, we were connected to Jeanette who helped us schedule all our tours and tastings. Overall bad experience with this company. They took forever to respond to emails first of all. We had two different drivers. First driver Tony was super friendly and a pleasure to work with.our second driver was extremely rude. I called him at the end of the wedding and he sounded extremely annoyed. He said he was told we only needed two pickups but i was trying to coordinate with guests how many pickups we would need at the end of the wedding. We paid for 4 hours at the end of the wedding starting at 9:30pm. And i asked him to confirm we have him for a 4 hour block because my wife did all the booking and coordination and he was yelling at me "what do you need. Tell me what do you need." It is not like we were on a 10 minute phone call or anything he was annoyed right from the beginning. Just disappointed in the service. I cannot believe the money we spent to get treated like that. read more

Black Tie Transportation is spectacular! We booked a 31-person bus for our wedding to transport all of our guests to and from Golden Gate Park. Booking over the phone was super easy, and they had no problem with the park's tricky navigation. Our driver Tom arrived early and was super communicative and thoughtful, checking in with us to make sure our drop off point was correct and circling when we arrived too early. At the end of the wedding he was right where we needed him to pick us up. The bus was really clean and comfortable, and being able to play our own music over the speakers helped us keep the party going! Would highly recommend booking through Black Tie for any transportation needs in the Bay Area. read more

Black Tie Transportation Worldwide wins everytime! At the 2023 Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Fall Trade Show I was fortunate to win a 9-passenger Mercedes Sprinter van wine tasting tour which turned into the highlight of my holiday season so far! The luxurious van was perfect for mine and my High School girlfriends annual Christmas party. We had an absolutely fabulous time wine tasting this past Sunday. From start to finish, the service was impeccable, and our driver Michael was professional and friendly. It was an unforgettable experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend their service. Jeannette Hull, Black Tie's Wine Country Concierge, helped us discover some unique wineries for us to explore and thoughtfully shared information on each recommendation. You can count on Black Tie Transportation to make your experience truly unforgettable! Thank you Black Tie for a great day with my friends! We will be back again next year! read more

We hired Black Tie Transportation for our wedding and had a great experience! I booked with Genevieve and she was very helpful and upfront about costs. Our driver, James, arrived a few minutes early on our wedding day and didn't complain about us running a little late. On 10/08/2020 on 880 southbound a vehicle from this company nearly caused a multi-car accident by forcing their way in between me and the car in front of me. They barely cleared the car in front of me and barely missed hitting the front of my car. Traffic came to an abrupt halt just as this driver forced their way into my lane. As I was already slamming on my brake to avoid hitting the rear of their car, I was able to avoid hitting their vehicle. Fabulous from start to finish. We reserved the large BMW for my husband and I to go to the city for dinner. What a beautiful car! My husband is 6'5" and he had ample leg room in the back. Very quick & efficient help for intake info. Clearly stated they would contact us the day before our international trip using SFO. Drivers were very professional. Vehicles were extremely clean & well riding. read more

Everything from pickup to drop off was excellent. Great drivers, clean equipment and on time arrivals.

This is my 4th time with an unprofessional driver from black tie. I commute over 880/92/101 so am going to assume these are SFO drivers. However their speed, and unsafe lane changes, and most importantly taking their hands off the wheel to flip off other drivers is not just unsafe but will get somebody hurt one day. Think of it this way "drive as if your mom was riding passenger." And if you still choose to drive like trash your mom sucks. read more

Jeannette and the Black Tie Transportation team provided excellent service for our wedding. We had our wedding in San Francisco on 06/10/23 and were unaware of the Juneteenth parade taking place that day. We booked a 23-passenger limo bus and due to the unexpected parade, our driver was 30 minutes late to the first shuttle time. Luckily, Jeanette with her expertise accounted for potential delays, and the parade did not interrupt our wedding festivities. Our driver was awesome and made our wedding the best experience possible despite the parade inconvenience. This van just side clipped my right mirror and continue to go with stoping. Time 5:35pm 9/4:2018. Dixon landing road off 880. It is a 3 lanes merging into two lanes section of the street. The van came from behind in lane #3. I'm in#2. It's clear that I have the right of way. He clipped my mirror and continued to run. It was a closed call. My mirror is scratched and I am sure the vans body also scratched up. Further more, mr operator, you are damaging your company's reputation. read more

Black Tie Transportation made an unforgettable birthday with wine tastings in Napa. Jeanette was wonderful and a delight to work with. She really listened to our group and the type of experience we wanted to have in Napa. She then coordinated all of our tasting appointments on our schedule. She knew all the best wineries to go and made it so easy for us. The limo sprinter was fabulous and our driver Robert was fun and professional. He provided top notch service refreshing the limo between tastings and being timely at all our pick up locations. He really added to our experience. This is the second time I've used Black Tie Transportation and I would recommend them to anyone looking to plan their next event or winery adventure. read more

Black tie transportation is a class act! Manager Debbie was so accommodating and flexible as I had a complicated gift certificate situation. She was very personable and made it easy to work with her. The vehicle that she suggested for us was a nine passenger Mercedes sprinter it was probably one of the most comfortable vehicles I've been in a very long time. Super clean pretty much brand new. Our driver was Ron who was 1. On time 2. Courteous ... very polite 3. Knowledgeable of the vehicle and the city itself The 8 of us That were on this trip made the unanimous decision that going forward we would only recommend Blacktie to all our family and friends. Thank you very much Blacktie for making our mother-daughter day a very memorable and enjoyable day for us! Dennice Barnes read more

Our experience with Black Tie was EXCELLENT! We had a 13 person van bringing the Groom & Groomsmen from their home to the ceremony venue...then that van bringing the Bride & Bridal party from their AirBnB to the ceremony venue...then a 46 passenger van making pickups at two hotels...then the 46 passenger van bringing guests from the ceremony venue to the reception venue...then the 13 passenger van bringing the Bride, Groom, and their parties to the reception venue...then multiple return times back to the hotels from the reception and a getaway car for the Bride & Groom at the end of the night and EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. There was not a single misstep or issue. The drivers were all wonderful humans who were fun and kind and reassuring. All of the vehicles were in great condition (clean, smelled nice, looked new). Our getaway car at the end of the night had such a lovely driver and massage seats which felt like the greatest surprise at the end of a very wonderful but long day. Jeannette was wonderful to work with and she worked so well with our planner Maggie at CMG Events to ensure the timeline covered everything! read more

I asked for their price schedule for my wedding next year. The woman who responded to my email, Jeannette Hull, sent a reply email saying she didn't have availability for this year. I asked her to re-read my message and revise her reply. She replied with the same message. How unprofessional! I will not be using their services. They obviously need to hire more workers who are literate. To future brides, I recommend not using this company. read more

We have used Black Tie many times over the years, but I think it is unlikely going forward. They need to get a better selection of vehicles. I called today for a ride to San Francisco from Livermore, 2 people 3 suitcases they wanted over $300. Why? Because they can only take two suitcases in their regular cars, I need and SUV. I drive a Honda CRV and could easily fit those suitcases in my budget car, why do you even have limos that can't have three suitcases? Apparently stretch limo's are not available anymore. I am not excited about parking in San Francisco but over $300 one way is silly. Two stars because they have always been reliable in the past, but I am a Former customer. read more

We chartered a 31 seat bus for Prom. When we had filled nearly all the seats, we upgraded to a 41 seat bus. Staff on the phone was always very helpful and accommodating and very good with communication--they clearly have a lot of experience. We did have to point out that they had made an error in their quote, but it was remedied with no problem. The bus was nice and clean and on time, the driver, Bob, was professional and experienced, and the kids liked him. Would definitely use again. read more
