I was looking for a wheelchair accessible cab so I called what I thought was three different companies which turn out to be the same company. When I called the third number, the gentleman who answered the phone yelled at me and said how many times are you gonna call me and then hung up on me. I honestly wish I could give "0" stars. I attempted to order a cab for a distressed customer that came into my establishment. She was having no luck finding anyone who would pick her up, so I searched for cabs nearby. They instantly answered and offered to provide service, which was greatly appreciated unfortunately, the lady I ordered the cab for got up and ran out of my store with no explanation. I went ahead and did the due diligence to contact "Bob" letting him know of what happened. He decided to call me at my phone number and proceed to say "Are you dumb? Gas is expensive" to which I tried to explain to him the situation, but he hung up on me. I called back to talk to a manager, and he said he was the manager and continued to be disrespectful. For many years, it was problematic for me to take a taxi from Berkeley to the Oakland or San Francisco airport. I need a taxi that will arrive at my apartment at the agreed time, and the chance of this happening with most cabs is only about 70%. The emergence of Uber and Lyft did not solve this problem. In my experience, they are simply not sufficiently reliable and foolproof. A couple of years ago I found Yellow Checker cab, and my airport problems are now over. If you arrange for Yellow Checker cab to arrive at 4 pm, they will be there at 3:55 pm. Their drivers are professional, courteous, and they know all of the shortcut tricks to avoid traffic jams. What can I say about Bob. Bob is a really friendly guy he's easy to talk to he's on time he drives that nice vehicle and he get you to where you want to go and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. You can talk to him about fairs and how much it will cost you and if it runs over sometimes there's wiggle room. Bob has been serving us for about 25 years weathering changes in family, health issues, covid, and all that has happened in that time. He never once failed us. We most often use him for airport trips and he has always been timely, safe, and easy to work with. We hired him once for a dinner party in Salinas (from Berkeley), including a stop in Palo Alto to pick up some friends--impeccable service and made what could have been a long stressful day quite easy. He waited while we had a wonderful evening with friends. I do recommend that one book as soon as one can commit--since covid his fleet has shrunk and they do get all booked up at times.
