I called five days prior to my early-morning flight. I got a voice mail and left a message, and within moments I got a call back from a very polite and professional man. So far so good. I gave him my flight information, and initially he said, "Call to reserve the day before the flight." There was a pause as I began to formulate the words to say, um, no, sorry I want a service which will take a reservation now. I knew the day before my flight was going to be crazy busy, and I needed to take finding a limo off my plate in advance. He seemed to read my mind and jumped into the pause and said don't worry, you can reserve now. He took my flight info, my address, and my phone number. I should have realized it was a red flag that he didn't take my cc#. Well, my flight day rolled around and it was 7:45 a.m. and no limo had arrived at my address I called his phone number and kept getting voice mail. After a few tries, I left a message, and got no return phone call back within a half hour. It was now a serious emergency, and I had to call a cab company and beg for someone to come ASAP. I ended up giving a $20 tip to the guy who saved me. It's possible this service is fine if you operate as he prefers, by calling the day before. However, I would highly recommend anyone who wants a reservation in advance go to another service. The reason for the one-star rating is that he wasn't honest with me. If he's not able to take reservations in advance by more than a day, he should hold firm to that rather than promising something he can't deliver.

As it turned out I had broken my elbow and both bones in my arm connecting it to my wrist. After having such bad experiences when I've taken an ambulance to ER, I waited a full day before I had to resign myself to... it wasn't going to heal on its own and one of the broken arm bones was looking to be punching its way out of my skin. I needed a plan. Though it wasn't easy, I looked up cabs on the internet... and poof! There they still were Fast and Friendly with Abdo's name attached to it! It was after hours but I gave it a shot and they picked up! It wasn't Abdo but his son, Belal who was just as wonderful as his dad and the rest of the family crew had been and haven't used any other since(except couple of times when Covid & other things had them in limbo). It brought me back to life enough back in August to see Abdo's name on their ad and then the above and beyond heart full service I was in need of that night even though the prognosis of my injury would be worse than I knew at the time. And their service has been so exceptional and will always go out of their way to treat you with such kindness especially when they can tell you need more than just a ride but need a warm heart! Fatwan had a taxi that said "Diamond" taxi on the outside - but he was fast and courteous, conversational and funny. He seemed very impatient, driving jerkily and erratically, nearly colliding with a car pulling a trailer and angrily blaming it on the other driver while I held on with white knuckles. It took a long time for him to get us on the bridge using his bizarre, round-about route. In the end, we paid forty dollars more than we had the week before for the very same ride. Never again.

Called ahead to set everything up, gave them my pickup time, and when I checked in a few days before the trip out of pure travel anxiety, they had me down for the exact time I'd given them. Driver showed up right on the dot. The vehicle was a big clean SUV, plenty of room for luggage, and the ride to the airport was smooth and safe the whole way. Got dropped off right at the door we needed, which matters when you're pulling bags out at a busy terminal. The part I appreciated most was the billing. They invoiced me after the trip, so there was no scrambling for a card or working out a tip with the driver in the moment. Zero hassle on departure day, which was the whole point. If you want a calm start to a trip and not a coin flip on whether your ride shows up, book these guys. Worth it.

I never got a response and I should have taken that as a clue. I called them last night and booked the 6 a.m. pick up that way. So then I purchased the Yelp deal online for the $75 airport ride for $67, And then 6 a.m. this morning, I'm sitting by the window, with my suitcase next to me, waiting, watching. Nothing. 6:05. Nothing. 6:10. Nothing. I call the number. No one picks up. I send a text message and I get back the response "Sending a car now." Then I get a phone call from some other guy saying that he's driving from Berkeley and will pick me up in 10 minutes. 6:30 am a car finally shows up. This is an entirely different guy (who actually frightened me a couple of times during the ride with his reckless driving). I made my flight but probably wouldn't have if I had to check in bags. And guess what? I find out only when I get to the airport that 510 Airport Taxi had called ANOTHER taxi service to pick me up. So when I go to pay with the Yelp voucher, the driver refuses to take it because he's not with 510 Airport Taxi. Now I'm just trying to get my Yelp voucher refunded. I had to pay that guy, essentially paying for this awful taxi ride twice and now I'm getting texts from 510 Airport Taxi asking if I want to use the voucher for a ride from airport on my return trip (NO!) and that I have to contact Yelp for the refund. This is not a taxi service with a dispatcher. This is a guy who owns a car and a cell phone. BAD NEWS all around!
