Horribly unprofessional. Worst customer service EVER. Incident#1: I call an hour early bc I live in the Oakland Hills & cabs are not used to driving up here. A guy dispatcher takes my info says "20 mins." 40 mins later I call Lucky to inquire about the cab & the dispatcher says he couldnt find my adress in his GPS so, no cab is on its way. No call back to get clarification on the address, no call to let me know a cab will not be outside my house in "20 mins." Almost washed my hands of them completely but dispatcher offers me a discount on my ride, promises he found the address on GPS, says "15 mins". 20 mins later still no cab. I called another company. Got to work late, got chewed out by my boss & lost a promotion. Thanks Lucky1 Cab! Incident #2: After incident #1 I called Lucky to complain. A woman dispatcher was very professional & applogetic. She offered me a complementary cab ride in the future. Nice. Ok... everyone has bad days, maybe it was that other guy's 1st day, I won't hold a grudge. THEN, When I call for the complementary ride a few weeks later, lady dispatcher answers. I ask for supervisor bc of the free ride situation, the woman was very rude. Askes me why I need a supervisor. Wont give me her name. The call gets "disconnected" so I call back, no answer. I call back 5 times, leave messeges. Nothing. I call another cab company.. again. Today, the same woman answer the phone, I tell her all of the above & she says that I didnt get a return call bc I was harrassing them! LMaO! Yells at me, tells me she is going to call the police if I call again, hangs up on me. Twice. Kay, Palima, lady whose voice is on the answering machine, whatever your real name is... shame on you! read more

If you're looking for amazing customer service, efficient drop offs and professionalism then Lucky 1 Cab is your car service! I've been short on money, late for pickups and they don't care! I highly recommend this taxi service. I was stranded at the west Oakland BART station while routine maintenance was being performed on one of the lines. Ibrahim (the taxi driver) showed up quickly after I called requesting a taxi and went out of his way to make sure I got exactly where I needed to be even though it was out of the way and not on his usual route. He was an absolute gentleman. He has definitely restored my faith in humanity and turned my otherwise crappy day into a good one. Thanks again Ibrahim for being an amazing human being! read more

Lucky 1 cab went out of their way for me last night. My husbands cell phone died when he was trying to find an Uber after a Raiders game. He was not in a good neighborhood. I called Lucky 1 Cab to help me, I called them over and over because I was worried about my husband. I thought for sure they wouldn't answer my call again. He did, he even denied service to others because he was working with me. The cab driver didn't need to do this and it was a pain trying to locate his exact location. Wow. Finally a cab company in W. Oakland that I can DEPEND on -- any time of day or night! They happily serve my neighborhood -- instead of begrudgingly like some companies. It is such a relief to know when you call for a cab, they WILL arrive on time. Now, I never have to worry they may flake out. Their cars are new & clean and I like that they use Prius' too. Being a 16 year old girl in the middle of Oakland, a city that's completely foreign to me, I was SO GLAD when a woman, Kat from Lucky 1 Cabs, picked up. She gave such wonderful service and really seemed like she cared. Being not only foreign to Oakland, but also a girl, this was really comforting. I calledto order a cab for my elderly mom. I told the gentleman who returned my call that i needed a cab in 45 minutes to take my mother to the airport. When the cab didn't arrive after 15 minutes past the time the gentleman said it would arrive I called him. He said he thought I ordered it for the following day. In no stretch of anyone's imagination did I say anything near that. My mother barely made her flight. Wildly unprofessional, horrifying communication. read more
